"Donkey Kong," she read out the name of the game Victor walked towards. The graphics looked outdated however. But she knew it was worth a shot. After being shown what to do, Victor gave her the reigns.

She played quite well on her first run, managing to time the jumps well enough and avoided death via fire sprites, but the small pixelated man died on third level despite her best efforts. "That was fun," she giggled. "How far can you go?" she asked, stepping aside to give Victor a turn.

Time to play. He put his hands on the controls, like that of a master with his weapon. "I'm quite good at this actually." He grinned to Lorencia, before concentrating on the game.

The First level was down in a heartbeat, and he barely even flinched when Fireballs missed by mere pixels. Again and Again, The giant Gorilla fell, signaling level won. His score pole vaulted up by the thousands.

At some point, maybe five minutes later, he let go of the controls again, having beaten the game with the Highscore. Now on the Name select, waiting for a name in order to be on the leaderboard, he asked Lorencia, "Hey, what name do you think I should put here?"

He didn't need his own name there, so maybe Lorencia could put her own name there. It would almost be permanent, no-one would beat it anytime soon.

It was clear that Victor had a lot of practice with the game, but it was still amazing to see him go through the levels without so much as flinching at all the close calls. She watched as the score easily passed three hundred times as high as her score was. He didn't lie. He really was good at this game. No, even better, he was great at it!

At one point, he stopped then asked what name they should put in. "It can't be mine, I didn't even get close as that. Why not yours? You earned it!" As much as she wanted to be recognized as someone who was good at something, it wouldn't really mean anything if she took someone else's credit. She was going to work for that.

Well, she was amazed at his ability, saying he was good at the game. But he didn't want his name to be there, Several other games throughout Australia already had it as the top score, and this was too easy.

"What about both our names then? There were three lives before the game ended, and we both played on it before I got to beat it, right? So the score belongs to both of us then." He reached forward to enter in their names, Lorencia and Victor.

Too many Characters. He removed the spaces, but it was still too long. Trying it without spaces, it left out most of his name. "Hey, Lorencia, do you have a nickname?" He asked her. If she didn't, he might have to join their names together. LoreVic or something like that.

Both their names? That sounded alright to her, so she nodded. It was actually quite sweet of him to do something like that, sharing the credit even though Lorencia herself didn't do much to contribute to the score.

"A nickname?" she thought for a moment and snapped her fingers, "Oh yeah, my friends sometimes call me Loren or Lore, with and without the 'e'."

Typing LorenVic into the machine, it proudly stood at the top of the list. For some, this would be a pretty good memento, like carving hearts into a tree.

"Done. So now what, Lor?" He said teasingly, using her nickname.

LorenVic... It was a cute name and it made her smile. Looking at all the other scores on the machine under their names, she had a feeling that this would take a while to be knocked down.

"Well, Vic," she responded with a smile as she looked around the arcade. She guessed the similar-looking machines were video games like this, so she focused on what looked different. And that's when she saw a bright screen and the source of the music she had been hearing for quite a while. She pointed it out to Vic, the station for a game called "Just Dance." "Let's go on that!"

Well, he chose the right name, Victor decided as he saw Lorencia smile towards the screen.

He was looking at his phone when Lor picked the next game. It was a more modern game, "Just Dance" and he knew of it. Victor wasn't really a fan, but he chose the last game, so he felt obliged to go along with her. "Okay," he said, a bit worried. "I'm not a good dancer, though."

"Don't worry! We're here to have fun, aren't we? Who cares if we're not good at something, so long as we get to enjoy ourselves." Being invested in the arts, dancing was well inside her comfort zone. How hard can this be? Judging by the demo, they had something to mirror movements from, and she was great at mimicking dance moves.

"So, how do we start this?" she asked excitedly. She could see two figures in one of the corners already that followed their movements. How exciting!

Being a Gamer, this was inside his ability, but only barely. So he was quite nervous when he went up to the controller. Even though this was run on a Kinect, to select a game the remote was needed.

"Well, first we need to choose the song." For the sake of it, he placed the song choice on random. Hopefully, it was a slower song, and not too difficult.

Next, they needed to calibrate the sensor. there was an area marked on the ground that they were to stand in, and he moved into it. He motioned for Lor to move to his left, as player two. Once the onscreen representations had become synced with them, he held up the remote. "Ready?" He asked.
