You had a bad day.

Mal was, well, having a very very bad day. Other than bombing a test, and getting into a shouting match with some stranger, the downpour he got stuck in and today. This day, is the anniversary of the Incident, it had been three years since that day and he felt miserable.

Mal went to the library, he liked libraries they were quiet and sparsely populated and there were wonderful, wonderful books. With a heavy heart he walked through the aisles, deciding to look at the movies this library had, since it seemed like he had them all, movies were one of his guilty pleasures, they always had a way of making him feel better. The ambiance of the library was not making him feel better, but it made him feel alone, probably a harder way to go against his troubles than anything else.

Emily almost dropped the book she was holding as an intense flavor passed by the aisle she was standing in. It dissipated quickly as the many shelves of books blocked it again, but it was very strong and lingered in her mind a little bit even after it disappeared into the stacks.

It seemed like someone might need her help... Cautiously she began looking around the aisles for the source of the taste. It wasn't too long before her timid footsteps carried her to the movie section, zeroing in on Malvoes. "Uh... Um... E-Excuse me...? A-Are you... Alright?... You u-um... You t-taste upset..."

She'd said things like this a bunch of times, yet it still brought a flush to her cheeks. It just sounded so out of place and suggestive, but it was really the only way she could explain the sensation.

@Malvoes Boran ahhhh I'm sorry this took me so long ;;

Mal was in a bit of a haze, emotions ringing in his head. Idly looking at the movies in a state somewhere between conscious and unconscious, that was sadness for Mal.

And he was partially snapped out of it, as a timid girl approached him and spoke to him. Mal would turn to her, a half smile on his face, "Oh yeah, I'm-" Alright, that's how that was going to go, it was default answer for when he was feeling down. But she said something rather strange.

He'd blink a few times, trying to register what she said as a blush would appear on her face, "Did you say taste?"

@Nightstripe It's alright, I got patience.

Emily's blush deepened, and her eyes began dancing between Mal and her hands as she fiddled with them in front of her.

"Y-Yeah... It's... It's h-h-hard to explain... kind o-of..... I-I can taste um... Th-Those kinds of things..." she just kind of let that hang in the air, unsure how to continue with the explanation, or if she needed to.

"... S-So... I w-was wondering why you w-were upset..."

Mal was starting to understand the concept a bit, she tasted, well emotions it seemed. He'd rub his neck a bit, diverting his eyes to the ground, "So a kind of emotion sense then? I suppose that brings a different meaning to diverse palate."

His face would contort a bit, mulling over what to say, "It's just, a really bad day, an anniversary of sorts of a terrible event." His eyes would take a bit of a hollow feel to it, falling back to the events of that day. Giving a light sigh Mal would shake the emotions off his face, turning his head back up to Emily.

Emily's eyes bounced around the room, looking anywhere but at Malvoes. "... It's really h-hard to eat things... W-With other people a-around..."

Her eyes finally settled back on the illusionist, her hands clutched near her chest to try and control the fidgeting. "... C-Can I help... In s-some way?..." Suddenly her face deepened to a red and she recoiled slightly, eyes widening as she become quite flustered.

"O-O-Oh!... I-I'm E-Emily..... Uh... I-I-It's nice to m-meet you..."

Mal would close his eyes, giving a slight nod as he focuses silently. He'd always practice controlling his emotions, so his powers never got out of hand along with them, he still had flub ups here and there, his cat appearing when he's lonely or rose petals falling from him when he's excited. But this girl had an emotion sense, so he was causing her troubles, he'd start containing his pain, keeping his grief and sadness back.

He'd give a soft smile when he opened his eyes, and spoke a bit kinder seeing as she seemed the skiddish sort, "I'm, uh, not to sure. If you're wanting to help, I suppose I can let you." It might have sounded a little off, but he wanted to feel a better, he wanted to have company as well, why not talk with an empath.

"It's a pleasure Emily, my name is Malvoes."

Emily just kind of watched him while he tried to quell his feelings. She couldn't really tell that was what he was doing though.

"I-I mean... I-I-I can listen... If y-you want to talk... About i-it... I'm n-not really s-sure what else you m-m-might find... H-Helpful..."

She blushed again and once more began fidgeting around awkwardly. She really hadn't thought this through very well.

Mal would give a bit of a sigh, maybe it'd be helpful instead of just stewing in his own misery.

"I suppose so, if you're alright with listening to me. Perhaps we should take a seat though."

He'd take a moment and look around, trying to find a place for them to sit quietly and talk in moderate seclusion. He could see a spot in back of the library with a few soft chairs in a half circle.

"How about there?" He'd motion to the spot he was referring to.

Emily gave Mal a small smile as he relented. "I-It's something I can do t-to help... A s-seat would p-probably be a good idea..."

She just stood there awkwardly as he looked around, wondering if it was she who was meant to provide the seating location. "Oh... Y-Yes... There's f-fine..."

Em wandered over to the half circle of chairs and selected one, straightening out her skirt over her legs for a moment before looking back up to Mal. "So... Um... G-Go ahead..."
