Lucas is going to be digging around online anonymously for more information. Though he has not shared the note out of caution, he still participates in investigation threads and offered a meet-up location for anyone who needs to share information privately. He’ll meet up with Jude, Eli, and anyone else at the library with the note he found at the door, offering to investigate any suspicious people/locations.

After an uneventful search with Noel, Monday has decided to pull out all his mirrors, clear a space in his backroom, and place them in a circle - one for each cardinal direction (16 in total), plus a mirror for the island's center and scry for the source of the snow.
(So seventeen mirrors, each scrying in a different direction. It will take Monday a few days to do.)

James is volunteering as a free portal taxi service, teleporting people around when they're struggling to get through the snow. When not doing that he's going through the museum (he interns there) for historical events that are similar as well as talking to the magical experts there to see if any of them have theories on the cause.
It has come to our attention that we were not as clear with how we wanted the Winter Mystery event to run as we would have liked. So we are going to slightly modify things for the next round of this event and hope to use this new method for future events of similar type or scale. Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress and we may modify it as we see what does and doesn't work well.
Round Three is now active. Please post a reply to this thread detailing what your character intends to do and how they would go about accomplishing their task. Please be reasonable with your expectations, as this is generally a week's worth of time and there is only so much each character will be capable of doing. The best way to do that is to focus on one specific goal for each character active during the round rather than giving a character multiple things to try to do.
You will have from today until about mid-afternoon site time on Friday to post your reply. After that we will go over each response and determine what, if anything, your character has managed to accomplish towards the main goal. If we determine your character's actions may require additional details or rp to determine just how much they accomplish you may receive a DM.
If you get a DM, you will have two options. You can either talk it out with the mod who messaged you to explain what you would like to happen, what kinds of things your character would do with the information they learn, etc. Or you can gain all of that same info more organically through a speedthread with a staff member.
Keep in mind that we expect all the information for the current round to be gathered by the end of the weekend, so if you don't think you can manage a short speedthread in a couple of days, it might be more appropriate to just go with the out of character discussion.
After all of the progress for the round has been completed or noted we will post the results in the event thread as a summary of what happened and what progress was made. The progress made will then inform the next round, if there is one, or how the event ends.

I am seeing flags being raised, I dunno. Red flag, maybe? I can't see scrying being too dangerous.

The Week Coven will have passed on what information on the culprit they were able to find (the appearance and general direction where he might be located). Wednesday herself will be following the story online and sharing what theories she can come up with based on the info but will be unlikely to involve herself further unless the rest of the witches do.
Nat will be joining the library crew, helping spread the information they discover to the rest of the island via the newspaper to make sure everyone is informed of what's going on. If she manages to find a lead that corroborates with the sources potential location, she'll head out there to investigate herself. Red flag.

Riley will be writing letters to a few of the month gods, asking them for help (among other things). Specifically, she's going to reach out to December and January. She will also be accepting emotional support from Cluckers at this time. Cluckers is a very good bird. There is absolutely nothing dangerous about this action but I'm giving her a red flag anyway.
Fweiu Rukt'In will be keeping herself busy with clearing out snow where people need it most, in out of the way residential areas. She'll also be bringing some other ice dragons from her community (now called the Akt'Anir Dragons) to help her. She wants people around the island to know about the Akt'Anir Dragons and have a positive opinion of them. Their ice magic will let them clear out a LOT of snow. Red flag.

I'm writing to you for two reasons. First, I'm sad I didn't get to meet you last month. I was hoping for some big party or something you would throw. But I'm sure whatever you did was important. So I wanted to ask will you still show up for something later this year so I can meet you?
Also everyone's been really worried about all this snow. I've been trying to help them with my god powers but this isn't really my thing, just destroying a lot of snow. I know you guys are really powerful though. Do you know if there's anything you guys can do to help?

I'm writing to you because I'm worried about the snow. I've been trying to help the mortals deal with it with my god powers (I'm a destruction god) but there's not a lot I can do. I know you're a winter month and you might have snow powers or something. Is there anything you can do to help? It's kind of ruining your month and that sucks.
Also what are you planning to do for this month? I'm always excited for the stuff you guys do.
