A faintly glowing grin spread across Crows face as he stood atop one of the roofs of the downtown district, staring down at the small building that was his current target. The Scarlett Maiden...He had learned of it by sheer chance, happening to pick up on a strong magical signature from the store during one of his little escapades. He knew of the trinkets that lay on the first floor, but the ancient scarecrow wasn't interested in those. What he desired was below the earth, in the shops basement.
He could feel a powerful magic emanating out from the basement, so many different signatures mingling. Just sitting there, waiting to be taken. Crow's grin continued to grow as he walked towards the edge of the roof he was standing on, teleporting down to the ground when he was about to step off.
The scarecrow glanced up and down the street, the light behind his face dimming as he did so. He began to lightly cackle as he approached the store, his high pitched laugh carrying on the wind as he walked closer, before suddenly disappearing from the street, reappearing in the main room of the store, making his way to the door to the basement.
Once he made it to the door, he fished out his Lockpicking ring from one of his bags of holding, and held it to the door. Upon activating the innate magic, the door unlocked temporarily, a loud knocking sound resonating out from the wood. Crow smiled, and descended into the dark basement, his steps light and fast.
What treasures would he find, he idly mused? He couldn't wait to find out.
