Clothing Preference: She can usually be found in jeans and sweaters, but out in the field she wears what she calls her "fighting leathers". It is a simple suit of supple leather used for maneuvering in difficult terrain.
Personality Description: Amani is a rather mischievous person who prefers to satisfy her own whims and desires at the risk of others. She is a business women and archeologist, and prefers the company of her cat Binx rather the people who come through her business each day. Despite this, she is fiercely loyal to the people she calls her friends.
Powers:
Shadow Touched: Being the daughter of a dark elf, Amani has a great affinity for manipulating shadows and darkness to suit her needs. She cannot make shadow forms larger than a humanoid shadow corporeal without expending a great effort on her part, which would leave her in a weak and frail state for several days. She can however make smaller forms, only around two to three feet tall, corporeal for an extended amount of time, and she mainly uses those creations to help her around the shop or out in the field when she is researching. Amani cannot create shadows if none are actually present to manipulate.

Dark Sight: With her dark elf heritage Amani is able to pick up the heat signatures of living beings at night. She cannot see living beings great distances away from her though.

Animal Affinity: Amani cannot directly communicate with animals, but she is able to sense their needs and wants because of this ability.
Biography: Amani is the child of both a member of one of the Seelie and Unseelie courts that reside Under the Hill. Her mother, Ninaevel Mellarc, had a torrid affair with a dark elf much to her court's embarrassment, and Amani has never been able to learn his name. The half breed only spent the first one hundred years of her life in the court before leaving that life behind to start a life in Manta Carlos, which was enough time to earn her a reputation for curiosity and mischief. After gaining her current shop, The Scarlett Maiden, Amani spent her time pursuing legends of ancient artifacts and finding things that the world forgot. She keeps her collection within the basement of the building, and possible patrons are able to "borrow" any of the items for a price. This room is heavily guarded with shadow magic, and only a fool would try to rob the fae woman of her hard earned treasures.
Additional Information: Amani owns The Scarlett Maiden, a once run down brothel turned into a supply store. She sells many different items for both citizens and students at the academy, but her real business is run in the basement of the building. A number of priceless items are found within the basement, and a potential buyer could "borrow" a number of items for an agreed upon price, with interest of course. Of course, being part of the fae, sometimes the price is not always monetary.
