Located in the Downtown District, The Scarlett Maiden is a small antique and black market shop run by Amani Mellarc, a local fae woman. The shop used to be a run down brothel that Amani purchased about one hundred eighty years ago off of a seedy looking goblin who was looking for some quick profit. After several years of extensive renovations, the shop finally opened to the residents of Manta Carlos and provided odds and ends for both the students and staff at the university as well as the island residents.

There are four floors within the building, the first floor being the actual shop itself. This is where most of the business takes place and there are a variety of products to by. From antique furniture and odds and ends, to magical items that a student might would use if they don't want to put full effort into their studies. Most of the items have been acquired from numerous business deals, and Amani also takes unwanted items for an agreed upon price and then resells the items in her shop.

The two upper floors are her personal home, which were renovated to suit her needs. She rarely receives visitors, except for those who need a more private area to conduct business with. There is one other floor within the building, which is the basement. This is where her real business is conducted. Inside the room, which is heavily guarded by shadow magic linked to Amani, are a number of magical artifacts that have been recovered by Amani during her archeological expeditions that the world forgot about. These items range from magical weaponry, artwork, trinkets, jewelry, and relics. These particular items can be "borrowed" for a certain amount of time for a certain price. Given the fact that she is fae, sometimes that price is not always monetary and a contract is always negotiated with a potential borrower for what ever item they are trying to borrow. Amani takes these contracts very seriously, and should any potential borrower break that agreement it is said that the shadows come to find the borrower and appropriate the item.

Business Hours are from 9 to 5 every weekday.
