It was a quiet Saturday morning in the dorms. Most of the students living within had already gone out for the day, while only a few lazed around in the student lounge. The building had a sleepy atmosphere, it was a normal day, not much interesting was bound to happen for its inhabitants.

Evie, naturally, wouldn't stand for that.

She stood in the west hallway, between two doors, a small rope in her hands. After a small glance around to make sure no one was paying much attention to her, she wound each end of the rope around the handles of both doors, tying them together. Once the rope was taut and secured, she then knocked on both the doors and back off a few paces.

Both doors open almost at the same time, but barely managed to open an inch. There were a few muffled curses heard, then they both tried again, yanking the door even harder, but failing to get any further thanks to the rope.

Evie just stood there in the hallway and watched, barely managing to suppress a giggle as both parties struggled, getting even louder the more frustrated they got.

Jii had rather unceremoniously woken up at something like 4:30 in the morning, which for a weekend was practically criminal. She'd opted to make something both simple and filling today, and after a few hours of turning regular lemon and poppyseed muffins into a much grander ordeal than they needed to be, she emerged from her dorm with a plate full of treats and a somewhat over sized cup of Earl Grey, still in her pajamas.

It didn't take long, of course, for the struggling sounds of exertion downstairs to catch her attention, and headed downstairs right away to check it out. Blinking in slow recognition, her eyes fell on a girl she'd briefly met in the past...Evie, she thought? Quickly surmising what was going on, and not wanting someone she'd gotten along with so far to get in trouble, she approached the taller girl, brow furrowed in worry. [sub]"Um, hey, you should probably let them out. And maybe run right after."[/sub] Her words were hushed, just barely enough for Evie to hear.

It took Evie a moment to realise the whispering was coming from somewhere underneath her. She looked in all other directions before eventually looking down, surprised to find the small girl standing next to her. It wasn't often she found someone around her age that she towered over in such a way. Evie simply smirked down at Jii in response to her concern.

"Naaah," She whispered back. "I'm having way to much fun watch-"

Snap.

No sooner had she begun to speak did the rope break in two, both doors flinging open, followed by a heavy crash and the sound of objects breaking.

"...Youknowwhatthat'sagreatideaI'mgonnadothat."

Evie practically leapt back down the hallway, flying through the air and disappearing around the corner into the student lounge, diving behind one of the couches before either of the pranked students were on their feet.

Jii had at least had some warning that things were about to get messy, as she was able to distinctly make out the straining of the rope. So, thankfully, she was able to cover her ears in time when it finally broke, though she still winced a little bit, watching Evie disappear down the hall in record time. Well, maybe record time for someone who wasn't a magically fast Pixan. Not wanting to make herself a target to the two unfortunate prank victims, Jii instead darted off near top speed towards the place she'd heard Evie go.

However, she hadn't known the other girl's exact location, so the result a split second later for Evie was a periwinkle blur, followed immediately by a distinctly confused looking Jii tumbling into her lap and blinking up at her. "...Heyyy. So, um, fancy seeing you here." Blink. Blink blink. Yeah, no, she really had no idea how to explain that one. Looking down, she also noted that her tea mug had been spilled in the scurry over here, but her plate of muffins was intact, and smelling delightful as usual.

Evie found herself blinking right back down at Jii, the surprise at how fast she'd joined her evident on her face. She quickly recovered, smirking, opening her mouth to say something before the sound of footsteps thundering down the hallway reached their ears. For once, she elected to stay silent while the other students rushed into the lounge. A few angry words were exchanged, before they stormed outside, still looking. Evie let out a breath as soon as she heard the door swing shut.

"Phew. Well, that was fun." She giggled, before remembering who was sitting on her. "So uh, if you don't mind..."

Without waiting for permission, Evie lightly gripped Jii by the shoulders, and after a small second to decrease her gravity, lifted her off her lap as if she weighed nothing and placed her down next to her.

Evie's amusement was easy to feel, even without Jii's powers. Though she could feel the boredom that had prompted her to do the prank in the first place still simmering under it all.

Jii's ears flattened instinctively when the two students emerged into the lounge, breathing a heavy sigh of relief as soon as they had apparently left. "Whew, yeah, uh...fun? Fun, sure." Initially giggling sheepishly at the whole ordeal, her eyes went slightly wide when she was lifted with so little effort. She was light, sure, but not that light. Taking a moment to recollect her thoughts, she laughed again, rubbing at the back of her neck and curling her bare toes in the carpet. "Yeah, sorry about getting in your bubble, there. I wasn't really thinking."

Still feeling rather awkward, Jii figured the best thing she could do right now was to focus in on how Evie was feeling. The positive was easy enough to tap into, which she got a bit of a giggle out of herself, and the underlying boredom as well was all too familiar. "Hm...I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you don't have anything to do today, huh? I'm kinda in the same boat, myself, so...I dunno, if you wanted to like...hang out? That would be cool." The Pixan looked up to Evie with a hopeful smile, both at the prospect of getting to know a new friend and to actually do something fun today, whatever they ended up doing.

"Ahhh don't worry about it." She waved a hand dismissively at her apology, crossing her legs on the ground and resting her back against the couch. For a moment Evie didn't seem to be paying her any attention, her mind already thinking of what other shenanigans she could get up to. Jii wasn't wrong, she really didn't have much else to do. Once Jii made her offer, she tilted her head, looking back at her.

"Huh. Jii, right?" She asked, thinking for a moment. "Well you aren't wrong, I guess. I kinda blew my load on all my prank ideas."

Evie shot her a mischevious look, before lifting her feet and tapping them against the ground, which caused her to bounce a few feet into the air, legs still crossed. She landed in the same sitting position on the backrest of the couch, balancing effortlessly.

"You sure you wanna do that? I'm one of those bad girls, you know." She giggled. Evie was well aware of her own reputation as a delinquent, and while she didn't know Jii all that well, she knew enough to know the pixan likely wasn't the same.

Jii was just then anxiously pondering whether Evie had remembered her at all, but hearing her state her name was enough to snap her back to attention, as well as put her at ease. What she said afterwards caused...some confusion, but she was determined to come off as cool, and in the know about all kinds of lingo. "O-oh, yeah. I, um, I blew mine on these muffins earlier. They should still be warm, if you want some." Just based on context clues, she had incorrectly surmised that the phrase simply meant to put a lot of effort into something.

Giving Evie a moment to presumably laugh at that, she watched with her mouth slightly agape while her acquaintance floated effortlessly onto the couch, blinking a few times before shaking her head. A bad girl...Jii laughed breathlessly at that, musing that a year or so ago she probably would have been deterred by that, rather than intrigued. "H-hey, well, I can be bad, too! I'll have...um...have you know, that one time I, uh.." She paused, scanning the room with her eyes before leaning slightly closer and lowering her voice. "...I smoked weed."

Whatever Evie had to say was completely steamrolled by Jii's accidental innuendo. Her lips drew tight, an almost choked breath could be heard as she barely managed to smother the uproar of laughter that was building in her throat. If it wasn't immediately obvious from looking at her eyes Jii could easily feel that she found what she just said very, very funny.

"I'll pass." She managed to eck out, her voice several octaves higher than normal. "They got uh, too much icing for my diet."

Evie eventually succeeded in taking a deep breath in, settling back down to actually listen to what else she had to say. The smile quickly stretched into a grin as she watched her act all tough, it was almost adorable watching her talk.

"Is that so? I never pegged you for such a badass." She giggled again, before finally uncrossing her legs and hopping off the couch. "Weeeeeell, that does give me an idea."

Evie, naturally, had some weed lying around, amongst some other drugs. She hadn't smoked anything in a little while, she found she enjoyed getting high more when she was with people, and she didn't really have a lot of people to hang out with. So with that in mind, she stepped over and leaned forward, looming over Jii.

"Alright shortstack, tell ya what." She said with a quiet, conspiratorial voice. "I got my own stash tucked away for when I'm bored. I'll share some with you if you can keep it a secret?"

She paused a moment, before adding with a teasing smirk, "As long as some drugs aren't too much for you, obviously."

Jii's brow furrowed in a mix of embarrassment and mild annoyance when Evie started holding back her laughter, with minimal success given she could feel just how funny she thought it was. Of course, even though she didn't get what had tickled Evie's funny bone, her good humor bled through into her own emotional spectrum, and she couldn't help but give a little giggle herself. She quirked a brow at the mention of icing, but rather than point out that there was none present, she just shrugged it off, instead carefully observing Evie's expressions.

Jii's ears had initially perked back up to normal after the two pranked people left, but they flattened down again a bit as Evie hopped up, wondering what mischief she was about to get tugged into. Blinking several times, she subconsciously leaned in closer to Evie at the lowered voice, even though she could have heard perfectly well at any point in the room. She...wanted to do that, with her? Really, she had been anticipating another prank idea, but she had to admit that this was an interesting alternative, especially with the teasing manner Evie asked.

"Well...I've, um, actually been trying to find some more of that, but not really with any success. I mean, it sounds like fun, right?" She smiled with as much confidence as she could muster, chewing her lip in contemplation a moment later as a thought crossed her mind. "Wait, wait. Is it really fine to do that here? Won't somebody smell it?"
