The wave of relief that washed over Jii when Evie burst into laughter and revealed the song to be a joke was massive, the Pixan giggling along with her and nodding. Evie was right, really. She did need to loosen up, and intended to do just that. Taking another long drag from the blunt, she glanced down at Evie's phone, pondering for a moment while she exhaled.

Spontaneity seemed to be Evie's approach to things, and Jii figured there was no harm in trying to adopt some of that herself. Taking the phone, she smiled softly, typing something in before setting it back down, with no music playing. "I'll be right back!~"

In a split second after passing the blunt back, Jii was off and out of the room in a flash, a little periwinkle blur. The door opened and closed in under a second, and less then six seconds later she was back all the way from her dorm, wooden flute in hand. If Evie looked down at the phone, she'd see that Jii had taken the liberty of putting herself into her contacts, with her name, and in parentheses next to it, 'Wiid'.

While normally she would be nervous to play in front of someone she didn't know very well, Evie's enjoyment and relaxation from them hanging out was firmly intertwined with her own, and she found herself filled with an uncharacteristic confidence. The Free Bird joke whooshed right over her head (as many things did, both literally and figuratively), but she didn't care. More than anything right now, she was just genuinely happy and having a great time.

"Hehe, well, not quite. This is a traditional song that's played at festivals back home. Um, I really hope you like it!~" Jii ran her tongue quickly over her lips to slightly wet them, then brought the flute up, closing her eyes and leading into a gentle, decidedly pretty tune. After a minute or so however, things had picked up to be quite lively indeed, and it was fairly obvious that she was doing everything in her power to keep from dancing.

It wasn't at all unusual for people back home to dance to this song when it was played, but even so Jii was pleasantly surprised that Evie was taking so well to it. She hesitated for only a couple more seconds once the other girl started dancing, and while simultaneously upping the tempo she joined her in her movements, almost messing up her song a couple times with the urge to giggle. For someone so engaged in playing an instrument, Jii proved herself to be quite the practiced dancer as well, her movements fluid and graceful. Overall, her style of dancing was quite unlike that of most of her peers, more in line with what one might expect at an elven ball.

All the movement was making her feel a bit warm, however, so she did pause for a moment to pull her hoodie over her head and toss it aside, leaving her in a wonderfully breezy cropped tank top, which gave Evie plenty of opportunity to see that she did in fact have reasonably well defined abs, perhaps to her surprise. After that, she snagged the blunt from Evie and took a long drag, the cherry flaring up brightly. With the lack of music, the quiet crackle of the burning paper gave the room a rather unique sense of atmosphere. Soon enough, she got back into it though, hopping effortlessly up onto the bed to dance there instead.

For all the confidence she'd steadily built up over the past little while they'd been hanging out, it only took one comment from Evie to completely throw her off her game for a minute. The workout comment, coupled with the eyebrow waggle and whistle, was...whew. A lot. Jii was very obviously affected in a major way, blushing like mad and subconsciously covering up her tummy with her hands a bit while she danced.

"O-oh, um, yeah, I really...um...I like working out, and..stuff..." She coughed quite, quite awkwardly, her dancing slowing down somewhat. She decided to give the flute another rest, enjoying bouncing around on the bed bit finding it difficult to play while doing so. She took another drag from the blunt, and while she was trying and failing to figure out how to blow a smoke ring, she was abruptly tipped off the bed! Even with slowed reaction time, Jii's sense of balance was impeccable, and as soon as she found herself headed towards the floor she managed to prop herself up into an impromptu handstand at the last minute.

She blinked once, then again, opting to stay in her gymnastic pose for a moment. "Well that wasn't very nice!" A small giggle left her lips, followed then by an insanely forward comment that she normally would never blurt out, but of course the weed had other plans. "Um, and, y'know, you probably work out too, with like squats, I bet. I could kind of tell when you were digging around in your closet~" She didn't quite register what she had said at first, her face as casual as ever.

The moment Evie went quiet, what Jii had said slowly but surely sunk in. Oh. Oh no. She was sure that she'd messed up the whole thing with that unintentional flirtatious quip, and was about to apologize before Evie's grin stopped her.

Before she could even think about what to say to that, she was abruptly snatched off of the floor with a little squeak of surprise. She had to fumble to keep her tank top from sliding down, blushing much, much harder than she had when Evie complimented her.

The followup question, however, made the proverbial gears in Jii's head grind to an abrupt halt. Did she...wait, did she really just ask that? Her face, which was now very close and Jii was just now realizing this fact, certainly fit what she had said, and her playful emotions basically guaranteed that she wasn't upset. Her little heart racing a mile in a minute in her chest, she finaly gave a hesitant nod. "...I, um, y-yeah...it's really nice. And, sorry, um, sorry for staring..."
