Merana kept drinking, butt hen took breaks in between. She would look up and see what he guy across from her was doing. She smiled, but then that smile turned into a worried look. HE was just tapping, and people were looking a bit, at least the close people around them. "Um." She looked at a new people an gave them dirty looks as they stared at their table. She then looked back and began to speak. "Are you okay?"

Huh? he said, raising his head as he snapped out of his thoughts. Ah, sorry, I'm fine. he said, stopping his nervous fidgeting and lying his hands calmly on the surface of the table. I'll stop. he smiled, sighing a bit.

Now that is something I never thought I would see. Lyre teased him from the back of his mind, his voice quieter than usually, but still very much present. Aren't you usually begging us to stop talking?

Shut up. Lysander bit back immediately, his shoulders tensing, only to make Lyre laugh even harder. Seriously... he sighed, his head dropping to the table. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... just as he said that, Magena screamed in his head, the pain making his skull split in two...or at least that was how it felt to him, as his sister screamed You idiot! Grabbing at his head, he looked at his sort-of-date, realizing what he had said, as his eyes grew comically wide.

Merana looked at him and nodded. "Okay." So he had stopped the tapping, but what now? He still seemed as if he was at war with himself, that he was conflicted inside. "Well." She said quietly looking at him as he talked to the voices inside his head, or at least that's what she thought he was doing. "Um." She sighed a bit and looked away from him for a second. She scratched her arm and then looked back at him when he continued to talk. "Well I mean if you don't want me here I can leave. Or it is, them?" She questioned him, with a bit of irritation in her voice.

It is them. he said, biting guiltily at his lip. Or, perhaps it would be better to say that it is me with them. he sighed, dragging his fingers through his hair. I just can't seem to function normal, whether they are speaking or not. When they are speaking, I'm concentrating on them. When they are not, I'm too nervous being on guard to focus on anything else. he sighed again, wondering yet again how did this happen. He used to be social, a party goer, and now he couldn't even talk with one quiet girl.

It most definitely has nothing to do with you. he said smiling. Sorry for blurting it like that. You're lovely...and I'll understand if you wish to leave about now.

Merana laughed quietly, looking down at the end of her side of the table. What exactly was she still here for? It wasn't like her to even want to go anywhere then her room for somewhere with no one unless she had to. What was it about this guy, this one awkwardly weird guy, that made her stay. "I literally have no idea why I am still here to be honest." She said out-loud to him, to try to at least tell him a bit about what she was feeling. "I guess there is just something about you..." She blushed a bit, but then snarled at herself for being such a stereotypical girl in the situation she was in. "Sorry."

Well, I guess that makes two of us. he said, sighing tiredly, before reaching for his head with his right hand almost reflexively. Or, well, eight of us, actually. he snorted a bit, rubbing at his forehead lightly, before letting the hand drop to the surface of the table again.

No need to be sorry. he said, laughing, as he waved his other hand through the air lightly to show that he really didn't mind. There really is something about me. I'm just not used to it being a positive thing. he said, smiling once more, a true, bright grin finding its way onto his face again. Usually, it is just me being weird...

She smile widely this time, and didn't mind that she did. "Eight of us? Wow, I kind f have an audience then." She laughed a bit. "Well." She sighed and regained her focus. "I'm usually the one called weird, or a freak. Because apparently you are a freak if you aren't some perky girl that flirts with everything that moves. Plus being super pretty." She looked away. "I hate it so much, but I've gotten used to it I guess." She looked back up at him, and loosened her shoulders. "But, I mean, whatever." She then fell back into her secure bubble of hers, just telling herself that it she should just keep things the way they are, and leave in the next few minutes before she had time to get to know this guy anymore. But as she sat there, something was stopping her from doing that.

Yeah. Lysander laughed, feeling a bit of tension slowly fade away from his body. There is kind of always and audience with me. he said, thinking how he could feel the other six observing him from the back of his mind even now when they weren't actively speaking.

You look perfectly pretty to me. Lysander then said, leaning a bit forward over the table and smiling again. Trust me, those kinds of girls are overrated. They usually have nothing but bubble gum in their heads. He knew that he was being overly generic and probably a bit insulting, but he just couldn't find it in himself to care. He had always found those kinds of girls irritating, both in college and in high school, when he was, admittedly, a bit of a different person, which meant that now he couldn't stand them at all.

So, trust me, you're more than perfect as far as I'm concerned.

Merana blushed, hard. She laughed awkwardly to herself, trying not to act any more weird then she knew she looked. "Thanks." She smiled a bit, and make eye contact for a second with him, quickly looking down to try to regain her sense of maturity. Merana breathed heavily to her left shoulder, and then readjusted her eyesight to the handsome person in front of her. "You're not bad either, I mean even if there are a few other people listening to what I have to say, I mean it." She paused and got rid of her blushing as best she could. "Thank you it means a lot." She smiled again and leaned a bit closer to him on the table, trying to keep eye contact.

Omg I'm so sorry that you had to wait ;;

Interesting. Lyre commented in his head before he could come up with anything to say in return to Merana. It seems you can be quite a smooth talker when you want to be. he continued before Lysander could ask 'What?' and break the small moment of awkwardness that he was having with Merana, a smirk of amusement evident in his words.

Surprising, isn't it? and of course, his sister had to join the fun too. Would you all shut up once more, please? he asked within his head, not daring to speak out to them before he answered the girl.

You're welcome. he said, avoiding the blush that was sure to make itself known on his face by speaking before he could think about it. Would you go out with me? He would think how much he sounded like a fifteen year old later, probably dying of shame in the process, but right now he focused on getting the rest of that sentence out. On a date.

Ah, no problem, I'm sorry as well, this took way to long and it's...well, it's not so good. Sorry :/
