Merana looked at him strangely and nodded. It was a touchy subject. That and she really didn't know much about her past as she would have liked to.She lightly sighed and looked around quickly, then putting her gaze back on the guy. "Hmpft." She made a small noise with her mouth. "I wonder what types of things you 'liberate.'" She quoted him, trying to make a joke, though it sounded more like an insult. She paused as he explained the origins of his name, and smiled a bit.

"I've always loved Greek mythology." It was nice to know that at least she could admit that. Merana got a bit worried as he pulled out his phone, unsure of what he was going to do with it, that was until he explained. When he offered her to look, she leaned in to look at the phone, reading the words that described his name. Merana leaned back a bit, as he typed in her name. She had never done what he was doing, to look up what it really meant. Merana leaned in again though, when he started to talk. The thought of her name meaning, made her laugh a bit. "I am not good at swimming actually." She looked away, knowing that it didn't really relate to the topic. "And I have a, dark past with water. So, that's an interesting meaning."

Ah, well... Lysander said, dragging his fingers awkwardly through his hair.

Don't you dare think you have 'liberated' us Magena threatened, her voice dry in his mind or I'll give you a headache the size of Monte Everest.

Nothing really. he said, quickly, shutting down his own thought before it could be born. He really didn't need another headache, not after not having them for weeks, and especially not now.

It's just a meaning. I mean, my younger brother name translates as 'help' and my sister's as 'archer' so I don't think we really need to live up to them much... he said, smiling fondly as he remembered his family. And believe me, you wouldn't think so after spending a few hours with my parents. They must be the only respectable, hard-working, grown up people on this planet that can talk about nymphs for an hour.

The mood suddenly grew a bit heavier again, and Lysander didn't know what to do. Ah, well, I guess... Like I said, no body really should live up to the meaning of his name?

Merana nodded her head swiftly as the boy talked about the meaning of his siblings names. "Siblings must be nice though." She said quietly under her breath. Did he even like his siblings? Merana had once heard that even if you hate your siblings, you still love them because they are family. Merana quickly smiled though as he made a remark about his parents again. She then lightly sighed and nodded again. "Yeah that's true." She placed her hands on her lap and looked around quickly. Merana then turned her head back in the direction of him and tried to not look at him straight on. "Soo.."

Yeah, they are. Lysander said softly, thinking about his younger siblings and the mischiefs they must be playing on their parents right now.

They are little devils, indeed. Magena smiled at him from inside his mind, before smirking. But not in their sleep. You are forgetting the time difference again, idiot. she said, laughing, as she remembered the time he had called his family in the middle of the day (for him) and somewhere around 5 AM for them. They were not happy.

You should call them again soon. his sister urged him. Just at some...more pleasant time.

I do not get this 'time difference' thing. Lyre spoke irritated from somewhere in the back of his head. At my age, time was same everywhere.

Yeah, and the land was flat as well. Lysander huffed at the poet, realising immediately that he had spoken aloud. Ah... he said, smiling awkwardly.

Well all of this sibling talk made her think of her past, so she tried to block him out a bit, like she had done to everyone else in her life, but it didn't work. She lightly sighed to herself and looked down, blinking her eyes. When he was finished though, she looked back up at him. She grinned a bit as he had accidentally talked out loud. "What?" She smiled a bit. "Poetry? Is that a part of something?" Merana had no idea what that one little sentence meant, but a part of poetry was as close as she thought she would have gotten.

Ah, no, not really. he muttered, feeling awkward. He didn't want to lie to her, while on the other hand, admitting the truth carried the possibility of creeping her out while on their first...well, it wasn't a date, because nobody has officially been asked on a date, but he liked to thing about it as some pre-date phase or something.

Or something. Magena scoffed at him in his head, before softening down a bit. So, what are you going to do, little brother?

You do realise I am older than you, right? he thought, not wanting to make his situation even worse, but Magena only frowned, and reminded him that she couldn't read his thoughts. Liar.

Ugh, it's actually... he began, taking a deep breath. This will be weird, but I was actually talking to someone. Someone who is kind of stuck in my head.

Merana waited as the man infront of her tried to explain herself. "Hmmm." She said almost silently, as she felt that the guy was reluctant to say what he wanted to. What was so important that he couldn't say what he meant? He was probably just worried or concerned that whatever they were doing right now would end or something if what he said didn't interest to Merana.

She sighed lightly and waited for him to either say that it didn't matter, or for him to explain himself.

When he finally did, her ears and eyes perked up to listen to the answer. "Oh, alright. That's pretty cool actually." Merana calmly smiled at him and nodded. "Sounds alright, I mean as long as they aren't secretly plotting to kill me, I can see why you are at this school."

I... Lysander looked at her in shock, his mouth falling slightly opened, before he cleared his throat to buy himself some time, and began to speak again. Well, yeah, not many other places where people will believe stuff like that. he said, shrugging his shoulders a bit, his eyes still lingering on her, surprised

She got you, little brother. Magena snickered, and Lysander silently growled, before he decided to ignore her.

And no, they are not planning to kill you. They are not planning much of anything lately. They are just...there. he said, smiling a bit, before Lyre decided to ask with evilly sweet tone Do you want that to change?

No! he burst, before blushing a bit again. Ah, sorry. Uh, them again.

Merana was still a bit surprised at his reaction. She had once been in this situation before, as she once knew a person that was different, but they quickly stopped seeing or talking to her because they weren't happy with themselves. She smiled though, happily that he hadn't freaked out at her response.

"Well tell them I'm happy to hear that then." She paused her train of thought, to think as to who, and why they were even, well in his head. "Ah." She smiled a bit, not wanting thing to wither get quiet, or awkward. At least not yet. "Are they related to you? or did you have a special connection with them? Or were you just born like that?" A wave of questions flooded her mind in that moment.

They can hear ya. he said quickly before one of his 'house guests' could make any comment about that. And truest me, no, you do not want to hear them. he smiled, happy that she wasn't freaking out and that he could actually talk openly about this. Even after a few weeks he had spend on the island, he still felt unsure of himself when he needed to explain his power, still convinced that people will find it odd, so every time he actually got to open up was a blessing, and he turned quite chaty. He just hoped Merana didn't mind.

And, well, both yes and no. Magena is my sister, but the other five have nothing to do with me. I think. he said, tilting his head. Yeah, pretty sure. They would have died of shame by now if they were connected to me by any part of their bloodline. They got stuck with me mostly by accident. It's a long story.

Surprisingly, everybody in his head stayed quiet for once, even though the conversation was about them.
