Merana blushed and looked in the direction once more of the brooding guy. He was surely working something out in his head as he sat there. He was maybe even discussing something with his 'friends'. She sat there patiently, not wanting to come off as needy. Looking around the room, there were still a few stray eyes that were staring down her every move, so she quickly and quietly glared back at them, making a hint of electricity flow in her system to get an edge. All of them quickly turned their heads back to their own tables.

She sighed just as he began to talk to her, which made her attention go back to him. She nodded in agreement to his first statement, accepting the words. But then the back words that came out of his mouth hit her like a shock to the body. He wanted to date her? What was so special about her? She perked up her eyes in excited and shock, and stared at him for a moment. She didn't know what to do. It was such a new experience, one that she couldn't end with pain, or suffering or hurt. At least that's not how she wanted it to end.

"Yes." She could barely make out those letters into words, as it now seemed like such a challenged. "Yeah I'll, be your girlfriend." She quickly corrected herself. "I'll go on a date with you." Merana then finished it off with a short smile.

It's fine! I'm sorry again and don't worry about it not being good! it was great! <3

For a moment, Lysander was taken aback by the straightforwardness of that statement. I'll be your girlfriend. the echo of Merana's words rand quietly in his ears and he couldn't help a brief surge of joy (and some of smug happiness) that exploded in his chest when he heard her say that, even though it wasn't exactly what he had asked her; going on a date didn't always result in starting a relationship. He found, however, that he didn't exactly mind her mistake, and somewhere deep inside he had to admit that it was probably because it had been so long since his last girlfriend. Unfortunately, with him, that place 'somewhere deep inside' wasn't as empty as he was hoping for.

Desperate much? his sister laughed, as he fought with himself not to frown. Shut the fuck up. he hissed inside his mind, pushing her away. It was a weak push, as there wasn't exactly a place where he could push her to but it was enough to get his point across. Fine. she shot back, retreating to sulk in the back of his head.

Out-laud, he said: Great., he smiled, reaching for her hand. That's great. So.... How about this Friday? He was still up there with fifteen year olds asking there first crush to the dance as far as the awkward was concerned, but he had already decided that he would worry about that later. Probably dying in the process, but later.

Merana looked at him shocked, as what she said was probably not the est suited for the situation. She sighed lightly and got rid of her ever growing blush. Was it really necessary for her to have added a relationship into this mix? What he was simply just asking to do get at a fancy restaurant, or what if she wasn't his type?

She pondered the thought in her mind for a few seconds, then dismissed it never to be thought of again. She didn't need to worry, as that would just get in the way and make her seem stupider than she already looked at that point. Turning her head to match the boy's it seemed he was again in his own mind, or whatever, contemplating it all, or seeing what 'they' had to say. She waited though, as rushing as just as bad as worrying to her.

She could care less if he even said anything, as she was so used to people just not talking to her or having a small talk with her and leaving. She wasn't much for talkers anyways. Merana lightly shook her head and rolled her shoulders as she saw that his attention was now more turned to her.

She was quite surprised with his response, but didn't quite show it enough to let him know. "Yeah, yeah sounds great." Looking at him with a tiny smile.

His smile grew even bigger at her acceptance, and he didn't even try to fight the surge of happiness any more. Part of it, though was, and he hated to admit that, but he knew that if he didn't, they would rub it in his face forever, simply the joy of scoring any kind of date at all.

It is all right. Kisha, surprisingly, tried to assure him. You have just met; you'll have plenty of time to get to be happy simply because it is her.

Or you are just desperate for some hay. the poet, of course, had to add mockingly, and that, that was not something Lysander wanted to think about, EVER. Him being in bed, with a girl, with them in his head...and wait, had it really been so long since...

Yes. his sister said. And thank you for that, though, it seems that it couldn't have been avoided forever.

He shuddered again at the thought, trying to keep it small though, for he did not want to send a wrong impression just after he had got Merana to say yes.

So, would you like to go to the movies? he asks, trying to keep his mind off some more disturbing topics. Or are you more of a dinner girl? he smiles, but his smile is shaky, for Garrick's dirty comments simply won't leave his mind.

Looking at him, she couldn't help but smile. It was so bizarre to think that her, of all people, would ever go on a date. She had simply thought it was impossible for her to ever want that, but for some reason, she felt that it would be interesting to see where this led to. It had been forever since anyone even wanted to talk to her, and this, was the first time that anyone had an interest in her. That thought alone made her smile.

As she waited for him to say something, she noticed that he too was smiling, which was at least a good sign that he wasn't just faking it or something weird. As she waited for him, she looked down at her drink, and then up at a waitress that was at a table a few away from theirs, then back to him.

He started to talk, and as he did, she began to think of where she actually wanted to go, but she then looked at his smile. This time, his grin was a bit shaky, but of course, she wasn't sure as to why it was. Maybe there people in his head had said something about her? She looked around for a second, and then replied to him. "I guess either one is good. The movies would be cool, as I don't think I've ever gone to the movies. But dinner would be good too." She didn't know what exactly to choose, as this was the first time she had ever even gone somewhere with someone else.

And why exactly are you making her choose? Magena scoffed at him in a way that suggested that if she were real, she would be shaking her head. Take her to dinner and the movies; that is the usual first date! Blinking confusedly, Lysander suddenly shook her head, laughing softly. You're right. he said, under his breath, before speaking normally to Merana. Both it is, then. he said, trying to think of a suitable restaurant for after the movies. Do you have favourite food? he asks, trying to make easier on himself. Don't say you like Chinese! his sister said suddenly, stopping him in the middle of a sentence. You're not taking a girl on a first date in that hole of a Chinese restaurant you prefer. He frowns at her words, but stops himself from speaking further anyway.

Also, do you live in dorms, or do I need to pick you up from somewhere within the city? he asks, keeping the conversation alive while he sips at what is left of the drink.

After him saying that they could do both, she was filled with excitement. "Really?" She said almost too quiet to hear. He would have even thought that this would be happening to her, which made her mood completely change for a second. "I, I like Chinese food, Italian and spicy food the most. " She was unsure of what type of food the restaurants had to offer, as she was so used to eating the cafeteria food everyday. "But I mean if you like something or somewhere that's okay too." She wanted to make sure that it wasn't all about her, because he was the one offering to go out.

"Oh and I'm just in a dorm, but I wish I had my own place. And I guess I could walk to the city, and then you could pick me up there. Or if you have a house then I could walk there..." She started but then blushed a bit, closing her eyes.
