Adelene was a little uncomfortable after seeing that Wei didn't turn out to be so excited after finding out what she actually had. She somewhat felt bad, even though another side of her insisted she shouldn't feel like that. Energy and vigor suddenly out of her system, she looked a little worried.

She even watched, carefully, as Wei ate. She studied his expression for a moment. She wasn't really sure he was enjoying the food, even though she was sure her sweets were really good.

"Um... I don't mean anything bad about this but... did you want something else?" she muttered, just after swallowing the bread in her mouth. "I'm just wondering, maybe next time I can give you some treat. It's just that today, I wasn't really expecting company, you know? Those are... kinda like my Power Meals during training."

Wei ate the food quietly, glancing over to her when it seemed like he was being talked to. The chocolate bar was dangling from his lips when he turned to her, and he shook his head.

"No, it's okay. I've just never had anything like this before." He said, nibbling at the chocolate some more. Chocolate was like a delicacy to him. Sometimes his mom got really fancy and bought the kind that had chili powder, so it was sweet and spicy at the same time. He really liked those. Even though he could say honestly that he didn't like spicy food.

"I didn't know that they made buns like this," he said honestly, pointing to the wrapper for the cream bread he'd eaten. "Where'd you get it?"

The worry on Adelene's face gradually vanished as she listened to Wei, and was eventually replaced with a small relieved smile. Hearing that Wei didn't usually have stuff like that made her want to give him some more, maybe in the near future, as a simple gift. Yup, she'll definitely try to give him some treats next time. And thoughts like that weren't very unusual to her, even though she didn't really have anyone to call a real friend yet. A training buddy was close enough though.

"I bought all those downtown. From a grocery shop near the place I work in," she answered. "I'll buy some more if you want. And then we can eat them next time we meet. I'll make sure to buy some bananas too, or banana bread maybe? Welp, just tell me what you want for next time. Let me buy them for you as a treat. I'm serious."

Others would probably find it weird, but really, despite being alone most of the time, Adelene would always be happy to do stuff for others. Even if it's something as simple as this.

At the offer of more buns and bananas and banana bread Wei hopped to his feet, an excited gleam in his eyes as the prospect. He did want to try more buns like the ones Adelene had given him, and he wanted to taste the creamy flavor and maybe if her mixed it with bananas, then he would have banana cream buns and that sounded like just about the most delicious thing any could have ever thought up at any possible time ever.

"That sounds great!" he said, already jittering around in excitement. Or maybe it was from all the sugar. Probably both.

"Okay!" He exclaimed, a little too loudly. There weren't that many people still on the field, but the few who still loitered about threw a glance or two at where they were sitting because of his yell. "Since you helped me, I have to help you train right? That's what we promised, right?"

He quickly bounced from one leg to the next, drawing his arms in close like a boxer and giving a few quick jabs. "Let's go, I'm ready!"

"Ahaha! Good to hear!" Adelene was brightly smiling over the fact that Wei seemed to go along with the things she said. Although she can tell that the supply of sugar she gave him was already at work, making him look like his shivering because of so much energy he couldn't contain.

Time for combat practice then.

Adelene was even happier when Wei told her that he's up for it. Hand to hand combat training would be an easy one, she thought, and nodded at Wei.

"Honestly, helping you and throwing the ball many times helped me a lot, too," she said as she put away her stuff and took a couple of steps away for a good spot. And then she turned back. "I'll have better aim for throwing thanks to you, Wei. So... How do you want to do this? I don't think sparring is a good idea if you're not into it that way."

She was already in position though. And seemed like she could hit Wei anytime. Her height was the only thing that kept her from looking intimidating, being only an inch or two taller.
