Cor surveyed the sidewalk corner, humming in thought. This should do it....Seemed busy enough. The boy glanced around at the crowd, shaking his head. He still couldn't quite believe he was surrounded by beings with powers like him....

-Flashback to a few days ago-

A small form stood before the same machine that'd taken his parents a few years ago, and red eyes narrowed. This was it...Either he'd wind up where his parents were, or he'd wind up...somewhere. Biting his lip nervously, Cor debates not doing it,but shakes his head, striding forward. It had to be done. He lays his hand on the same orb that his mom had, glancing down and pressing keys. Wincing at a flash of pain, The boy glances up as a shadowy portal formed, and let himself get sucked in...

And, with a yelp, he barrels out of a shadow, slamming into a large form."EY! Watch it, kid!" Glancing up, he prepares to utter a sorry, only to come to a stop as he sees it was a tall, brawny man...with elephant like tusks. Staggering back, Cor paled, then glanced around, spotting a woman with glowing runes down her arms, and at least a few other people with unique, amazing traits. "W-wha..." Glancing up at the man again, he pulls a sheepish grin onto his face. "Sorry, sir! Bye!" Waving, Cor charges off into a nearby alley. Had to figure this out...The man stared after, then shrugged, continuing his business. "Kids and their magic."

-Flashback End-

The boy pulled his mind back to the present. Either way, hopefully he'll get a decent bit of change today. Pulling out a small radio and bucket out of his duffel bag, he sits both down, giving curious onlookers a wave, then turning the radio on. As the music begins, Cor moves, beginning to pop along to it.

Nyota strolled on by the downtown city streets as she enjoyed what remained of her pumpkin spice latte while the season lasted. While today may have been a relatively nice day for late October, Nyota still opted to wear a black winter jacket that at first glance would hide her missing left arm so long as no one was playing too close attention to it. She also wore grey sweatpants that in bold orange letters say the word "green" on her butt. Why? Because why not fuck with perverts heads who where looking at her ass thats why~ While she could have worn sunglasses, she didn't want to bother as what was the point of hiding her glowing bright eyes on an island full of supernatural beings?

Of course she didn't come downtown just for an overpriced drink and leaving a few heads scratching, she was here for thirft shopping! Her parents had recently added money to her debit card she wanted to buy a few things for herself and knew from experience that best deals are always at the thrift stores! As she walked down the street, she couldn't help but hear a familiar beat in the air. As she approached the music, Nyota pushed her way through the crowd that was starting to form and watched some young kid about her age... dancing?

Nyota continued to take ginger sips near the front of the crowd with her one and only free hand as she watched the the show he was putting on. She wasn't sure if he was any good or not but she at least liked this pop song that played on his radio so for now she figured she would remain and enjoy the show.

Lila had decided to go for a walk downtown by herself. She just wanted a peaceful walk and to explore the town, something she had planned on doing since she arrived. While window shopping and enjoying the weather, she heard the sound of an upbeat song amidst the bustling city life.

Everything seemed so so normal in these parts of town. It wasn't until you really looked that you could see the odd features of every creature roaming the streets, humanoid or not. Lila looked as ordinary as possible that day, her wings invisible so others didn't run into them. She carried herself confidently for a fourteen-year-old in the middle of a city alone, wearing ripped denim shorts, a white sleeveless top with the word 'Angel' printed on the front in red, an unzipped oversized jacket, a casual backpack and high top sneakers. She looked as she always did - casually stylish. But today, she saw something that tempted her to forget about her former popularity, her reputation and her self-consciousness - a boy, around the same age as her, dancing.

He had set up his radio next to a bucket for change on the corner of the sidewalk. He danced in time to the music, and it was interesting to watch. He seemed to be enjoying himself, though. The only odd-looking thing about him were his bright red eyes, and he was obviously confident to dance so uniquely in front of a crowd. Lila admired this about him immediately, although she would never do such an embarrassing thing - would she? Brushing those thoughts aside, she dropped some change from her purse into the boy's bucket and stepped back, joining a girl with a pumpkin spice latte to watch the performance.

"He's good, isn't he?" She asked this stranger.

Cor grinned as a crowd began to form around him. Already, huh? Good, good!! The boy continued dancing, moving along to the beat of the music. Hmmm....maybe, considering the location, he could actually use his powers... Smiling gratefully at a girl as she puts some change in the bucket, the boy decides to go with something he'd never done before...His eyes glow slightly, and his shadow starts stealthily stretching out to each side of him.

As the song goes onto a slow bit, he freezes in place in the middle of a move, balancing on his tiptoe. Cor then dances slowly, only to speed up, seeming almost in a frenzy, as the beat starts coming harder and faster. As a loud one-two drum beat, BOOM BOOM, the boy hop stomps a rapid two times, his stretched shadow coursing up into a Shadow Puppet, designed to look like him, on each stomp. As the 'twins' stand on each side of him, he bit his lip nervously. Hopefully this'd work out...

Cor glances at each side of him, acting surprised, then grins playfully at the crowd, bowing. His Puppets follow his movements, though a second delayed, and Cor relaxes. This should do...He falls into the dance again as his Puppets dance with him.

Nyota cocked an eye to the lady next to her once it registered that the lady was she was speaking to her.

"Uhh... yeah. He is pretty good." meekly agreed Nyota as a pretty girl stood next to her.

In all honesty, Nyota was still uncertain if he really was any good but if the cute girl next to said that he was then he must be doing something right... right?

As she looked back to the boy, Nyota saw his red eyes flickered an unnatural glow while his shadows began to take form. Nyota's eyes followed the his movements as they became increasingly more energetic while the shadow took on a life of its own.

"Whoa..." quietly awed the starry eye girl as she clutched her plastic cup a bit more firmly than before.

Now Nyota knew nothing about the art of dancing be even she was impressed by the kid's "shadow play" as the he moved in sync with his perfect pair shadow constructs of his own likeness. While this person was clearly not her friend James, the fact he can manipulate shadows to such a degree was a rather uncanny resemblance for her. Whatever, it was still quite a show!

"Soo... ummm... those shadows of his... those pretty cool... right?" commented Nyota as she glanced over to her fellow bystander next to her.

"Uhh... yeah. He is pretty good." The girl replied. Lila glanced over at her, and saw her eyes, glowing like two golden orbs. She wondered if the two had a connection. Probably not, she thought. The boy had red eyes and the girl's were yellow. Lila's eyes were green, but not in any unusual way.

The boy continued to dance before revealing what his powers truly were. He created two big shadows of himself, copying his every move. So he was a shadowmancer... cool. Lila wished she could create things like he could. Control something aside from other people. Now the show turned from an everyday busking show to an eye-catching performance, and Lila couldn't look away.

"Whoa... So... Um...Those shadows of his... Pretty cool, right?" The girl with the bright eyes commented. Lila agreed. This was one cool trick to have. She replied, "Yeah, but do you know who he is? Maybe I'll introduce myself after the performance."

Cor grinned at the awed looks on some of the onlookers. They liked it!!! This was great! As a couple more people come forward, dropping money into the bucket, the boy decided that he'd have to start doing stuff like this more often.

The song continues on, though approaching it's end, and he and his Puppets continue dancing. Gliding along the sidewalk, Cor and the 'twins' bowed to the same girl who had given him money earlier and her friend, though he blinked as he caught part of their discussion. Talking about his show, huh? Hopping back, the three gave a cheeky salute, then going into a rubber legged dance.

Nyota just shook her head from side to side as she drained what little of her pumpkin spice latte through the straw.

"Nope, not at all. I guess you can ask him yourself once he stops dancing like the manic he is." responded Nyota as she peered inside her plactic cup.

Sure enough nothing but a brownish residue clinging to the sides of the container was all that remained of her latte. Nyota frowned somewhat at her empty cup, then returns her sight back on the boy. She had just caught the boy and his puppets preform a salute before they the three of them returned to whatever crazy dancing they were doing.

Lila was captivated by the performance in front of her. She had never seen someone with shadow powers, let alone know one. Both the boy and the girl looked around the same age as her. Maybe they were in the same grade at the academy? She got the urge to introduce herself to these people, make a good impression in case they did have classes together. Since the boy seemed busy, attracting a growing crowd, she decided to start with the girl.

"What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked. She also wondered about the girl's eyes. Who knows what power they would hold? The girl was a mystery, but the boy's power was now out in the open, and she had to admit that they looked cool. She didn't care that the boy was publicly embarrassing himself by dancing on the street, though back at home she would've walked past and ignored the performance, or laughed at him with friends. She now understood that here, in Manta Carlos, she could start from scratch. She could be the person she wanted to be. Maybe that's what the boy was doing.

The crowd came and went, but Lila and the other girl continued to stand at the front. Lila cheered when the boy did something cool, but she got the feeling the other girl wasn't as amazed by the show as she was. She seemed to be more concentrated on the dregs of her latte. Maybe she just didn't want to show how she felt about the performance.

The boy's eyes narrowed slightly. Hmmm...song will end in the next couple of minutes...It was time to bring his performance to a end, especcially since the crowd was starting to go.Perhaps, something big and dramatic...Cor's body, and that of his double's, pulsed to the beat, shadows around the area moving and stretching, before gathering under his feet, his eyes glowing brighter.

As the song goes into a wild, rapid end, the gathered shadows well up, becoming a tall platform of shadowy tendrils. Balancing on it, the boy mimed screaming along the final chorus, then flipping off as the song end, grabbing onto a tendril and sliding down. Landing, relatively lightly, he bowed one last time, the tendrils and shadow twins suddenly puffing into a smoke like substance that rapidly faded away. The shadows around went back to normal.

(hope this wasn't too much, and sorry for the sudden end to the performance.^^; I kinda ran out of ideas. XD )
