Nyota looked to the girl next to her as she was asked about her name. She was caught a bit off guard that the girl had asked her but she still divulged her name to her nevertheless.

"Huh? My name? Oh, its Nyota. Errr... yours?" asked Nyota suspiciously.

After pretty girl next to her introduced herself, Nyota nodded her head and then went back to watching the boy.

As the song approached its climax. Nyota watched in awe as the boy showed off the true extent of his powers in a baffling display of shadow manipulation! The way he fucking slide down the platform of darkness with his shadow tendril and flipped them all off was fucking badass!

"Hahaha, did you see that? That was fucking cool. Total showoff but still fucking cool. So your going to ask him his name right?" questioned Nyota as she gave her new female acquaintance a causal nudge with her right elbow.

"Lila." She replied to Nyota, who sounded unsure of why Lila required her name. Honestly, the only reason for this was so she knew in case they met again. It was better to call her Nyota than the girl in the crowd watching the dancing boy. And it's not like she wouldn't remember or recognise her. Her eyes were too distinctive.

The boy's finale was nothing short of spectacular. As he faked falling off of his shadows, Lila's heart skipped a beat. She was so involved in the performance she thought, for just a split second, the boy was actually falling. When he took a bow, Lila clapped loudly. It was a very good performance.

Nyota gave her a nudge with her elbow, clearly impressed by that last trick. She went on to question Lila about asking for the name of the boy. "Oh yeah," she remembered aloud, "I'll do that once the crowd clears." The crowd was still clapping for the performance. She would have to wait until they cleared out.

A couple of minutes later they had done just that. Lila walked to where the boy was, and asked, "Hey, my name is Lila, and my friend and I are wondering what yours is." She hoped that got the message across without sounding too creepy. And deciding to
add a compliment, she said "Great performance, by the way."

Cor grinned at the applause, taking another bow, and waving goodbye to the crowd as it broke apart to wander off, some more money falling into the bucket.Turning off the radio, he picked the container up, examining what was there. The boy smiles, eyes widening slightly. Sweet!!! That was a better haul then normal, for sure.

He turned around, scooping his duffel bag up, and puts the items, coins clinking slightly, back in it, zipping up before putting it on his back. Right...now, to go do...something.Well, as soon as he decided what said something is.As he's starting to consider that, a girl walks over and talks to him. Blinking at the question, he gave her a wary look. "...Guess you can call me Cor." He blinked at the compliment, reddening slightly. "Oh. Uhm...thanks."

"Cor? Is suppose to be short for something like... Cortez or something?" inquired Nyota, tilting her head to her right before she gave him a great big cheshire grin.

"Well whatever your name is dork, I thought shadow powers we kinda cool. Kinda freaky but kinda cool. Especially that part where you slide down the platform. That was awesome!" she exclaimed as she raise both of her arms.

Nyota right hand's, still holding the the now empty plastic cup, nearly hits Lila in the face but thankfully she only just brushes past her hair. When she raises her left arm how, it noticeably comes up short as the sleeve that would have covered her left forearm instead flops aimlessly about. Nyota then sets her arms back to her sides, seemingly oblivious that she had almost struck Lila in the head as she continues to question Cor.

"Also, just curious do your shadowy powers work? I have friend who kinda has powers similar so I am just wondering how similar yours is to his is all." shrugged Nyota.

Blinking, the boy answered by saying, "...Guess you can call me Cor." Cor, Lila thought. What could it stand for? Corey? Cornelius? Actually, she didn't really care. She despised her full first name so much she had never even written it down. In response to her compliment, the boy said, "Oh. Uhm...thanks." For the sake of being polite, Lila answered, "You're welcome."

Cor continued to blink, seemingly caught off-guard by her approaching him. He appeared to be more introverted when spoken to compared to his performance, and Lila knew from experience that shy people are more easily scared off by her outgoing personality. She would have to be careful if she wanted to give a good first impression.

Unfortunately, this thought process didn't really sink in until after she had waved Nyota, the glowing-eyed girl, over to join them both. Way to make Cor uncomfortable, thought Lila. Regardless of this, she smiled welcomingly and said, "So I haven't seen you around before - do you go to the Academy?" And hoping she had said enough but not too much, she put her hands in her jacket pockets and sighed.

Nyota joined the group and seemed excited about the show. As Lila relaxed, she just dodged being hit in the head by one of the girl's arms flying around. Lila just kept smiling and nodding, trying to look as inviting as possible.

Cor smiled slightly at the 'You're welcome.' His eyes widened slightly as he noticed the other girl had come over as well. The boy tilted his head at the question, debating briefly on how to answer that.He wasn't completely sure he wanted to give his full name..However, the glowing eye girl swiftly moved on, giving him a grin and a excited series of compliments.

The boy reddened a tinge more, rubbing the back of his head, but gave a hesitant grin back. "Uhm...thanks, again! I'm glad you two liked the show." He wasn't exactly used to people complimenting his powers...The only ones who'd ever done that were his parents, and they haven't been around for a few years, nor did they completely count. The grin widened slightly at seeing how excited she was, feeling a tad proud of himself.

His eyes widen slightly in surprise at the empty sleeve, but he doesn't draw attention to it. None of his business, and he didn't want to give offense.Cor,instead, hummed in thought at her question, though his eyes widen at the second part. Other shadow controllers? Guess he shouldn't be surprised, considering what he'd seen so far. "Well, I was born with it, so I'm not sure how to explain it...Hmm...It's...kinda like the shadows, darkness, is part of me, but not completely...I just kinda will them, and what I want happens, mostly. There's still stuff I can't do yet." Then Lila's question registers, and he glances at her apologetically, though tilting his head. "The...Academy? Nope. I'm kinda...new."

"The... Academy? Nope. I'm kinda...new." Cor replied. That wasn't surprising to Lila. She was new, too, but she was amazed at the boy's control over his power without the school to assist him. She, on the other hand, needed their help to develop hers. Perhaps he had help back wherever he came from. Either way, from what she had heard about the Academy it was perfect for Cor to build his skills and get to know other gifted creatures. Lila said, "You should enroll. It's supposed to be really good at helping with your powers. Who knows what you'd be capable of with their help!"

"Plus, you can get to know other people with powers. Maybe even others with the same." She glanced over at Nyota. Who could she mean when she said that? The only double-up in powers Lila had one across was an older girl who was an Angel, like her. Shadowmancers were rarely mentioned anywhere, so she assumed there would be few. Then again, who knew. She only got here a couple of weeks ago.

Still curious about the guy Nyota knew, Lila asked, "Who has similar powers?" Lila swept her long hair away from her face, twirling a small piece around her fingers. She felt comfortable in the group, something she hadn't completely felt since she was wth her human friends at home. She sensed Cor loosening up, too, and Nyota seemed fine from the beginning. They were almost done with introductions and already it felt like she had found friends, or at least allies.

"Oh, that would be my friend James back at the academy. His shadow powers is kinda different from Cor's though." replied Nyota as she perked head to look over to Lila sweeping back her wavy brown hair.

Nyota blinked, holding her breath while she watched Lila twirling a bundle of rich brown hair as delicatly as silk fibers. Nyota bit her own lower lip, then realized that she was staring maybe a little too long at Lila. She then swiftly averted her gaze back onto Cor, silently hoping that Lila didn't notice, or at the very least bring it up. Stupid hormones making her attracted to cute boy and girl that so much as looks at her.

"Soo.... err... y-yeah... cool! So just Cor was it? Well, whatever." spoke Nyota, sounding flustered at first but later regained her composure as she continued to speak.

"You should listen to Lila there. I mean, starlight is full of freaks and weirdos like us so you will fit right on in. Heck, if I see you around I can always introduce you to my friend James. He could use probably use some boy friends in his life. Hell... more friends in general... I think I might be his only friend... well ever."

Lila just nodded in reply to Nyota's answer about her friend. A different variety of power sounded normal, in the last couple of weeks she had met plenty of types of everything. Nothing seemed surprising to her anymore.

Without noticing Nyota staring at her, Lila glanced around at the bustling city life surrounding the trio. "It's so busy here - and so... normal." She said this aloud, but more to herself than the others. She could remember the way she would hang out with her old friends downtown vividly, shopping and gossiping. Their weekend routine... She realised she was daydreaming. About her human friends. She shouldn't miss them. They weren't even important to her! Maybe it was something else, but Lila felt a sudden pang of sadness, of mourning for her past. For a moment, her carefree expression changed, she looked at the ground and sighed. Quickly she corrected her emotions and listened in to the conversation again. Maybe one of the others noticed, maybe they didn't. But she was starting to find a sense of normality on Manta Carlos, and she wasn't giving it up for the sake of humans.

As she tuned back into the conversation, Lila realised Nyota momentarily sounded more uncomfortable than she had previously. However, she quickly disregarded this as the girl continued to talk.

She backed Lila up on her suggestion of joining the Academy. But she brought James back up into conversation. he sounded interesting... Maybe she could meet him too at some point? Still curious about James but not wanting to push the topic, Lila said, "Well anyway, think about it. And don't worry about making friends, I'll always be there if you need one." This would've been strange for her to say at her human school, where she was the leader of the popular girls, but here it was different. She was still a new girl. She didn't have power here, or endless friends. Things had definitely changed.

Cor's eyes widen. Enroll? His brows furrow in thought as he considered. Join up, and have to interact with people he didn't even know, and maybe couldn't trust...and it would probably lessen the freedom he had to find his mom and dad. On the other hand...he wouldn't have to search for a warm, safe place to sleep anymore, nor worry about some random nut coming across him...Well, if this was a boarding school.

The boy bites his lip, then shrugs. "Not sure...guess I'll have to think on it for now. Thanks, though." It would be nice to have friends. Blinking at Nyota's flustered state, he gave a mental shrug. Examining the two of them for a second, he considers, then speaks up,relaxing. These two didn't seem that bad, certainly no reason to distrust them enough not to give his full name out."Actually...It's not just Cor, though that's what I prefer. Full name's Corvin, Corvin Skiahyios." He then glances at Lila, blinking at her final statement, then nodding with a smile. Adjusting the duffle on his back. "I'd like that...you know, if I decide to join. I...don't really have many friends."

(FINALLY got this out!! XD I'm sorry for the delay. ^^; )
