The street might have been called busy, if seen from a distance. It certainly was crowded. Still, when one approached the location where he sat, the hustle and bustle of the city quickly faded into absolute silence. The very wind seemed not to dare disturb it. Traffic was not moving at all, and people stood, staring expectantly at the center of the stage that was this city street.

Edgar had done it again. He didn't quite mean to, but he had a tendency to take very enthusiastic walks out in the moonlight. He always attracted a crowd, he couldn't help it. He had been so bored, so starved for entertainment, that he needed to witness some fresh talent. So, as he often did, he merely appeared, stirred the pot, and stepped back to watch. People watching of this variety was one of the most satisfying and thrilling.

"Everyone, listen now, the time is at hand!
I'm in need of a muse, as you'll all understand
So I'll place before you a task most grand,
Only the greatest among you have the power to withstand
Which among you is the finest thespian in all the land?

Everyone, it's time to settle!
Come one, come, all, and test your mettle!
Show me who among you is of the highest level!"

He sang to the heavens, music seeming to stream from around him into his words. Suddenly, there was a song, and everybody had their part to play. The majority of the crowd watched, some stepped forwards, resigning to the roles of backup actors, and still more would come to put on the show. Edgar simply waited
