She jabbed her paw on the keyboard once or twice, hoping to type something down, but her paws were too ungainly to form anything and her attempts quickly failed.

She let him pet her. At first, she flinched and her eyes went wide, but being pet was not an unpleasant thing. She usually reserved the privilege to those who had one it somehow, but she supposed that by rescuing her he earned some form of leisure. So she curled into a ball next to him and simply felt bored.

At least, she was bored until he summoned up the ice cubes. She was impressed by the magic. It was not Yoka's experience to be around students that could wield it so well, and she was comfortable that he was a student and not a teacher. he was in a dorm room, after all, so even if his appearance was an illusion his status seemed more certain.

She wasn't going to play with the ice cubes, was she? She was grown woman, thank you very much. Yoka swatted one and it..moved.

Infuriatingly.

She swatted it again and it moved again, and now Yoka was pouncing and yipping ant trying to get these ice cubes. She felt no shame. She reveled in it for it because increasingly more difficult as the ice cube grew smaller and smaller.

When it melted, she looked at the man pointedly and huffed, as if to say, well?

Steven chuckled as he saw the fox start to play with the ice, however compared to his words and laughter up to that point there seemed to be slightly less mirth to it. A regretful by product of using his wintry powers. Even being distracted by the fox as it played, his calm mind still attempted to look into how to care for the fox, but when it paused and huffed at him. Steven laugh the slightly cool laugh once more.

Knowing that his head would continue to become less emotionally invested if he continued to use his ice powers alone, something that was not really desirable when attempting to care for someone. Steven used both his powers at the same time. The hand by the fox, making a larger piece of ice then before, slowly forming into the shape of a cliche dog bone. In his other hand, away from the fox he allowed to ball of flame to spring to life once he was done. Trying to override the uncaring with the passion of fire.

Overall it wasn't the greatest result, they didn't exactly counteract each other in a perfect way and so Steven held onto the flames longer then he really should. Growing frustrated at the task in hand on the laptop. He closed it and pushed it aside, laying back on the bed. Grabbing the bone of ice in his hand, he teased the fox with it, as a form of play. The fox was hurt, and perhaps if Steven wore it out slightly he could then move about freely to set up some sort of space for the fox to sleep, without risking destruction to his room.

Oh gosh.

Yoka really, really hoped that this was just a kindly young man rescuing a poor fox from on the road. Because if any of her employees found out that she was pouncing and playing with this bone like a simple house pet, Yoka would probably pay to have their memories erased and replaced with nine hours of hard core Shrek x Bee Movie yaoi fanfiction.

It was the only punishment she could think of.

His plan--though unbeknownst to Yoka--worked fairly well. After a rough game of tug of war, she began to become tired after her ordeals of the day and the stimulation that she could only enjoy as a fox. She gave a slight huff and curled up on the bed in a tight ball, resting her head on her tail.

After a moment, she closed one eye.

((Ooc: did you want to do a time skip? I could have him wake up with Yoka-as-a-person if you'd want? or we could wait. it's up to you!))

Steven was pleased when the plan went as desired. The fox settling down, obviously tired from the day injuries and his actions. Tossing the ice bone aside, it quickly started to melt in the heat of the room. However he cared little for there being a patch on the floor of just water, other things though not as much. Shifting from the bed, Steven grabbed the pillow he had before. Placing it on his chair, near the bed before coming back to gently pick up the fox and lay her onto of the pillow. "Hope that's comfy enough for you." He said with a smile.

Then swinging around by window sill, he picked up the little stuff to rabbit and tossed it over on to a rare empty space on a bookshelf, before heading to the bathroom. Once nature had taken its course. Steven got a cup of water, and left it on the bathroom floor. Something for the fox to drink, and in the case of accidents. Hopefully encourage her, to do so on the tiled floor, rather then the carpeted one.

Having finished the minor tasks, to make the animal comfortable and cared for. Steven walked back over to his bed. Hanging his trademark, brown leather jacket from the corner of the bed. Before striping down to his boxers for the night. The large scar on his back, a diagonal dissection of his skin, along with the damaged red rose tattoo on his right shoulder were it started, easily noticeable as he slipped under the covers of his bed. Steven tossed and turned a little, bunching up a corner of the duvet to use as a make shift pillow, and looked over to fox.

"Goodnight Lil' Fox."

He said smiling, closing his eyes and reaching out to hit a clock by the bedside. Which turned out to be a radio, with the volume turned so low that it was only at the edge of hearing. The lights in the room still on, as he never really turned them off unless he was seriously having a hard time getting to sleep.

((Time skip away my friend.))

Yoka awoke and stretched her arms over her head. Despite sleeping curled up all night, Yoka displayed no indication of stiffness or discomfort now that she was awake—and human.

She was in her first human form of a young Japanese woman with long legs and silky black hair. Yoka wore a tight-fitting grey sweater dress with a black buckled belt around her middle. Her left leg bore the visible marks of her mishap last night, although they were in much better shape thanks to the young man’s ministrations. Her face, too, had several jagged cuts riding up her cheeks from the barbed wire.

Yoka did not have a mirror but she was relatively certain she’d have been able to cosplay the joker right about now. Oh well, she mused, at least they wouldn’t scar.

She was also barefoot, which disgruntled her when she stepped off the chair to stretch and put her foot in the small melted pile of water from the night before. She pointed her finger at it and traced a small flame around, evaporating the water.

Yoka was an early riser—the sun had only peaked above the horizon thirty minutes ago—so she decided to sate her boredom while she waited for the young man to wake up by browsing his bookshelf. She pulled a book off at random, sat back on his desk chair, and waited.

She couldn’t leave without thanking him, after all.

And maybe borrowing a pair of shoes.

It was sometime after Yoka awoke, as the sun got higher in the sky allowing light to glitter through the window, that Steven finally started to stir. Peaceful dreams, partial due to going to sleep after doing a good deed, drifted away as the natural light mixed with artificial. He wasn't one to wake quickly, but as Steven half open eyes caught sight of Yoka sitting in his chair they sprung open fully in shock. "What on earth are you doing in my room?" He demanded to know, feeling like his personal space had been invaded. "Who the heck are you?" Another loud question as Steven pulled himself quickly from the bed to stand there.

It was then that he realized that while the women was dressed, he was one step from not being so. Storming to the pile of clothes het had discarded last night. Steven grabbed his jeans and violently started to drag them on. Buttoning up he swung his face back to look at the women. She wasn't anyone he had met before, nor did she look as if she was an office who might get away invading a student's dorm.

"Well?" He glared at her, distrustful of her presence. It wasn't polite of him, which he normally tried to be with strangers. Though it was only the fact she was a women, that had stopped Steven reacting with violence. In truth a foolish thing, as he knew women were just as likely to do him harm as men would. Though a clear lingering effect of his upbringing.

He wasn't sure what else to do but wait and listen for her awnser to his harshly worded questions. While wondering how she had managed to get into his room in the first place. Not making the connection that the women who had been sitting in the chair, was the same fox he had placed there last night. Steven was new to the supernatural, and had quite the logical mind. Trying to find some mundane explanation, because he hadn't yet got used to the strange world he now lived in.

This wasn’t the first time Yoka had played this game. She stretched again, raising her arms above her head in a gesture that both showed off her curves and revealed that she had no weapon in her hands.

He was much more animated in the day time, she mused. She watched him fumble for his pants and turn and shout at her. Yoka crossed her legs and made no indication that she was getting up.

Now, is that any way to talk to a lady?” her voice was a husky per.

She figured he would be able to piece together the details once the shock wore off. In the past, his reaction might have irritated him, but after several decades of life she now thought his reaction reasonable. If any magical creature could get passed the wards and security at the dorm, it was cause enough for alarm, so she didn’t blame him. Of course, she didn’t really get passed the wards. At least he asked questions instead of swinging a baseball bat at her, like the last time Yoka had been rescued.

Though she wasn’t armed and she was still injured, Yoka did have some of her strength back. She figured she’d be able to at least escape through the window if he decided he did want to hurt her.

Until he pieced it together she didn’t see why she could have some fun.

You were much less aggressive before your pants were on,” she gave him a wicked grin.

Steven rolled his eyes at the unknown women comments and cross the room back towards her in his chair. Sitting there as if she planned to stay there all day. Putting his hand on the arms of the chair and he leaned in slightly and looked her in the eyes. "Is that so?" He said trying to see her reaction, only to notice something as he did so. Her face while from across the room looked fine she had small cut across her face. "Wait...you been hurt recently?" Steven asked backing of from the chair, he wasn't going to try and intimidate a hurt women. Sighing Steven stormed to the bath room, in search of the fox last night. Expecting it to be where he had left the water.

It wasn't there, coming back out of the bathroom Steven was about to ask the intruder if she had seen the fox he had saved the night before. However it was as he looked at her again that he noticed the cuts on the face wasn't the only she had. Some finally ticked in Steven's head. The location of injuries matched and what else could he have expected on a islands with demons, werewolves and vampires. Bringing a hand up to his face, palming his face in embarresment and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Steven smiled awkwardly.

"Well I've made a fool out of myself haven't I. You could have said something." Steven said not saying overtly what he was thinking just incase he was mistaken, because she would only get it if he was right. Well he supposed his morning reaction was still to be expected, it not like she had warned him or even tried to.

"I'm afraid so," Yoka said when he indicated that she'd been hurt recently. She was going to elaborate, make some kind of comment about what a bitch barbed wire was, but he'd stalked off into the bathroom as though looking for something.

Yoka couldn't blame him. She wasn't really a morning person, either.

"If I said something, where would be the fun in that?" Yoka asked. And then she finally did say something about barbed wire. "I wasn't really in a place to talk last night, I'm afraid."

But she could talk now.

"I'm afraid I didn't get your name with all of the excitement," she said, and she held out her slender hand to him. Her nails were long and painted a fiery orange.

Steven still somewhat embarressent took the hand when it was offer and anwsered it with a firm hand shake. "Rosett, Steven Rosett. What would be your's?" Returning the inquiry after having made his introduction. "Not sure where the fun in watch a half naked man flip out is though." Steven returned over to the pile of clothes from earlier, once he let his hand slip from her and the hand shake end.

Steven grabbed his shirt and started to put it on, while turning to look back at her. "Though I suppose it not important. What is though is what on earth happened to you?" He probably wasn't his buissiness but he felt like that having nursed her last night there was no harm in asking.

Dressed once more Steven moved back over to it and sat on the edge of the bed facing her in the chair. Half expecting a long story if she decided to tell him, but wouldn't be shocked if she refused to do so. The state she was in didn't seem as it was one a lerson would like to remember who it happened.
