The dawn of evil is afoot, or a leg?

As the darkness grew thicker and the air grew chill, the two kept talking about sleeping arrangements. Lestat asked her where she would be sleeping or a least how she would be sleeping. It was cold and it would be difficult to stay warm out here.

She snapped snapped at him a little when she replied. He must admit to himself that it was a slightly stupid question. She claims that she was used to sleeping outside when she and her cousin went camping but this is kind of different. There are no tents, no sleeping bags, and no blankets. Lestat sighed as he began to speak to her. He was making a bold question but it was bond to cone about eventually. "The only way that comes to mind is to sleep together..." He put a slight emphasis on one part off his speech as he was embarrassed to say this. He also blushed slightly before making himself clear it up. It was a crazy thing to suggest but it was the only way that came to mind besides building a fire and possibly burning the forest down.

Looking at him, she wasn't sure what to do. She already had an idea of what he was going to suggest, but of course Flayace was too scared to say it herself. She wasn't used to this type of thing, as this was the first time that she had been alone with someone at night. Looking down for a second, she tried to wipe the blush off her face, but nothing seemed to work. This was just a situation that she would have thought she'd never be in.

When he finished talking, she just stood there, looking at him. "Together." She mumbled as she thought. Just that word made her face as red as a beet, and there was no stopping it this time. "Y-yeah I guess that's our only option, right?" She could now barely look at him, which caused her to dart her eyes back and forth between him and to her right. She knew that she had never been this nervous before, and in no time, her eyes turned from there regular green to a light blue.

"Yea, pretty much. Unless you want to make a fire and burn down the forest, that's all we've got as of now.' He said as he looked at her now immensely red face. he ignored it for now as he figured that was just her personality. He had convinced himself of this so that he himself wouldn't blush as well from this. He also convinced himself that this was simply a means of survival and mutual help between one another and has nothing to do with a friendship or more.

Straightening his throat, he watched as she looked in every other direction than his own. He wanted to ask what was up with that but figured that its best not to provoke any 'moments' between the two. That would be unfavorable for what they are going to do. Soon enough, while he watched her eyes move rapidly, he noticed their change in appearance. What...? He thought to himself as he watched her eyes change to light blue. "What just happened with your eyes just now?" He asked her with pure curiosity running through his voice.

Nodding to him quickly, she tried to calm herself down, but it was no use. She was just too nervous. As he asked her why her eyes had changed color, she quickly looked up at him with a weak smile. "M-my eyes change color-" She paused. "Whenever my mood d-does. So right now I'm nervous." She said very fidgety. He didn't seem bothered at all by what was about to happen, which made Flayace wonder. She continued to look at him, with her red face still active, until she thought of what to say next.

"Yeah, I mean you never know, it could be, f-fun." She said trying to peer out a smile for him. She had to calm down.

"That's pretty cool actually." He said before he paused registering that she was nervous. It was pretty obvious why she would be nervous though. To be completely honest, Lestat was just as nervous as she was if not more since he had never known someone like her nor has he ever showed affection. This was a first for him and on the inside he felt as awkward as ever. But he could control how he reacted to things. He trained himself to do so, it goes with his telepathic powers.

He inhaled heavily for a moment as a thought ran by him. He might as well try to calm her down while he still can. he doesn't want it to be uncomfortable for her. Though this is the only person that he would rather not burn in an eternal fiery pit of despair. "You should probably calm down though..." He said as he lightly grabbed her by the shoulders. He continued as he tried to look her in the eyes, letting him see his own bright green eyes in her light blue irises. "Or will I have to calm you down in my own way?" He continued to look her in the eyes while he pointed to his temple upon saying this. He was signaling that he could use his powers to calm her but this would be slightly risky for him only. In him doing this, he would probably show his own emotion to her in his thoughts as the transfer of minds isn't just a one track thing. He was fully aware of this but he knew that she would rather not have him in her mind. I mean, who would someone else in their head?

She looked into his eyes, breathing in heavily, and she was sure that she could try to calm herself down. That was until he placed his hand on her shoulder, which made her entire body tense up for some reason. Why was she acting like this? Why did her emotions have to be so huge? She wouldn't be able to calm down if he kept looking her on the eye. It was almost impossible, as her heart was beating crazy fast for some reason. Was she attracted to him? She had no clue, because she had never been in a situation like this one before.

"You, you have to try, because I can't." She said as she continued to look into his eyes, as hers slowly turned into a gray, which meant embarrassment. She didn't know what to do anymore, as if her mind just went blank.

Lestat's hand had went back to its previous position onto her shoulder after he pointed to his temple. She was tense and her eye color had yet again changed. She kept eye contact as well, though hesitant, she still did. She basically invited Lestat to try and calm her down. This was new to him as well because not many would trust someone like him in their head, but you would be sadly mistaken if someone thought he would do something horrid to her mind. She was actually someone that got to him internally.

Lestat had extreme confidence in his ability to seek out certain things in someone's mind. he knew he didn't have to search her mind completely to get to her emotions. This is true for many reasons. For one, her emotions show more than anyone else's so it would be easier to locate, plus he knew where the emotions were in the head of everyone. "Don't get too freaked out..." He said to her as he continued to look her in the eyes. Looking someone in the eye was supposed to be the windows to the soul but in Lestat's case, they were the windows to the mind. Looking directly into her eyes would make it just that much easier to get through her mind, in and out.

Without a second though, he inhaled and continued to look into her eyes. He didn't blink at all as he went though her mind. In his head, though, he saw everything. Her friends, memories, family, everything. but he passed them up and didn't care for them not one bit. Fragments of her memories would show up randomly on his mind. Attempting to push them aside, he glanced at each one. "Where are you...?" He asked himself as if her emotions would just pop up.

Conveniently enough, they just about did. They were behind Flayace's image of Lestat. He saw what she thought of him, in detail completely. This almost scrambled his own concentration. His face began to blush though as he continued his task. Attempting to loosen the emotional ties with the recent showings of 'affection' was extremely difficult. Almost impossible.

Lestat sat there for a moment trying to figure a way to undo this but he was horribly unsuccessful, all he could accomplish was pushing a little of the feelings away but not nearly enough to keep her from being the way she is. As he went through, he saw images, images of what she had done that day. "weird humans...' Lestat had said not realizing that she could hear everything that he was saying within her head. Continuing, he saw that her emotions weren't even normal emotions. They were something extraordinary compared to a normal human. It was ridiculous...

Closing his eyes and taking his hands from her shoulders, he sighs heavily and says aloud, "No use..." he was disappointed in his abilities but the reason he was acting this way now was that she was probably able to see the feelings he had for her, if she was paying any attention. He was awaiting her reaction and opinion on how he felt that she was the only competent human in his eyes and maybe even more...

She was scared, but she knew that she had to let him try to help her. This was the first time that she had openly let someone into her mind, let alone try to help her with her emotions, that even she sometimes couldn't control. She was worried though, and him seeing her emotions towards him. She wondered if he would feel the same way about her, but it wasn't like she could just plain put ask him a question like that.

She breathed in and out heavily, and then made her to keep eye contact with him as he put her hands on his shoulders. She was ready. As he began to talk in her head, and where her emotions were, she thought of them. Flayace tried to focus her thoughts on her emotions, so that hopefully he could find them easier.

She was so curious as to what he was finding in her mind, if he was looking through her life, and looking at everything she had done. Though in that moment, she felt something, as if she was starting to feel his emotions. She looked into his eyes still, but she could see a light blush on his face now, which made her smile a bit to it.

He continued to talk in her mind, as he was most likely going through her memories, for whatever reason. She didn't mind though, as she had nothing to hide from him anymore. A few minutes later, he had closed his eyes, which made her feel a lot different. Was he done? She wasn't sure, until he took his hands off her and started to talk.

"That's okay, thanks for trying." She smiled at him, but then she felt a warmth inside her, as she remembered what she had felt when he had been in her mind. She knew that he had something for her, even if that was only friendship in his eyes, but to her, it felt like something more. With that thought in her mind, she replied. "I felt it, I felt your emotions." Her eyes looked into his fully.

Lestat kept thought to himself about how his telepathic powers weren't at their peak. Flayace had reassured him that it was okay and she was thankful for his trying but for him it wasn't satisfying enough. He continuously thought to himself on how he could and should improve on this. He was just downing himself because of this. It should have been a simple task. He has done it before to others, but even though her emotions are different, the same rules should apply, right?

His thoughts raced though his head, loud and fast until it all stopped once Flayace's next words shot through his head. "I felt it, I felt your emotions." She said. Lestat's face had gotten blushed again but this time he couldn't power it away. He tried to play it off as to make her think that he had no idea what she meant even though he knew full well what she meant. "What are you getting at?" He asked her. He looked her in the eye with his right eyebrow heightened.

He didn't know whether or not it was better for him to just come out with it and just let it be that she knows, or if he should continue to play dumb. It was already known that she was going to feel his emotions, but he had hoped that she wouldn't notice but apparently she definitely caught them on the slide.

She paused for a second, as she looked at the ground, as she felt a blush coming across her face again. What was she supposed to do? She had no idea as to what she was supposed to say to him. She sighed heavily and then looked back up at him. She had to just come out and say what she felt, even though it wasn't as if he had said it. "I felt a warmth, I felt what you feel, towards me." She said as she closed her eyes for a second and then reopened them. She could see the blush across his face, so she knew that he knew exactly what she was talking about.

She made sure that she was looking him in the eye, as she wanted to make sure he was paying attention to what she was about to say. "I know that you like me, though, it's not like I know if that is just as a friend or more." She paused and blushed even harder. "I like you, as m-more than a friend though." She looked down at her feet before she continued. "So, if you feel the same way then, just let me know." She was so embarrassed, that the last sentence she said barely came out of her mouth. All she could hear was the loud beating of her heart, as she wondered if she had made a mistake. She had the courage though, to tilt her head up again to look him in the eyes as he replied.
