Ding.
The first bell of the day rang. The last of the students begrudgingly filed into their homerooms and took their seats. Elias, who was already seated, stopped ruffling aimlessly through his backpack and straightened up. Operating on about three cups of coffee, he was prepared to start the regular day’s routine. It wasn’t like school bored him — Quite the opposite, actually. He was definitely more interested in learning than others were, and he took his studies very seriously. It was just that sometimes, the routine could get… well, boring.
So as he prepared himself for another day of repetitive lectures and note-taking, the teacher looked up from the papers at her desk. “Alright, class. Before we take roll call today, I’d like to introduce our newest student…” She announced to the class, gesturing to the door. Elias, his curiosity piqued, looked up as the door swung open.
