Seyyal looked between the two girls dancing and shook her head. "Evie is definitely cheating with her powers but Sage you know I'm a little biased towards you," she laughed. Her own movements were less stilted than Sage's but they were sloppy too.

Not quite the finesse she usually showed while weaving through enemies with her swords. But that nugget of skill did still peek through the drunkenness a little.

"Come on, if she's going to cheat we just have to change the game. Let's show her a dance from our home?" She tried to persuade Sage to join her in what was more or less their home's equivalent to square dancing. But sped up to better match the music. Whether Sage joined or not though Seyyal was going to try to do it either way.

She had already stopped worrying about what anyone else around them might think about them looking out of place. The alcohol helped a lot.

"If you can't join us in this dance you lose," she teased Evie. Screw impartiality.

Sage was lucky to have Seyyal around. Evie outshining Sage's awkward dancing was embarrassing. But as Evie said, she had to bring everything she got. She didn't know the dancing moves from here, but she did know the ones from back on.

Replying to Seyyal with a smirk, she approached her to do some square dancing. "How could I reject? We'll have the most unique dancing here," she said proudly. Then, she shot Evie a teasing smile, "Maybe too unique for some people to keep up."

Alma felt a bit emboldened by Bel's apparent interest, and she grabbed a drink from a nearby table. She was here to drink and have fun after all. Taking a long sip, she grimaced at the taste of the alcohol but the static in her head started to sound a lot like chugchugchugchug. And so she drank more.

"Living Dead Girls started out as a Rob Zombie cover band. They're an all undead, all girl band but they've started to break out into their own original music. Thrash metal is kinda their main thing but they also do some horrorcore. Their lead singer goes by Maggie Maelstrom and she's fine as hell."

Half expecting her friend to try and convince her to stay in the intimidatingly crowded spot, Jazz breathed a shaky sigh of relief when Maddie agreed that they could go and find another spot. The alcohol she had gone through was hitting her enough to be noticeable, but not as far as to override her discomfort with large groups. Waving to the rest of them, she half-supported the noticeably more intoxicated of them, gradually making their way towards a more sparsely populated area.

Of course there were still plenty of people around, but already Jazz was feeling much more at ease. Wiggling out from under Maddie's arm, she then went in for a hug, smiling gratefully at her afterwards. "Um, thanks...I know you were having fun with all of them. It means a lot that you care about me being comfortable."

Glancing around at the variety of dancing people near them, she took a moment to just observe the wide range of different styles people were showing off. "Wow, that's...h-huh. Some of that looks pretty complicated. I can't say I exactly know what I'm doing, really." For the time being, all she was really managing to do was tap her foot to the rhythm, occasionally taking tiny punctuating sips of her bubbly green drink. @Kait

"No problem," Madeline said, half-participating in that hug, half holding her drink. "I don't really know em very well, you know? So if they make you uncomfortable they can fuck off!" She laughed a little. "Or, like, we can."

They separated again, and Madeline finished off her drink before tossing her plastic cup at an overflowing trash bin. Then, she danced her way back over to Jazz. Jazz said she didn't really know what she was doing. "Nobody else knows what they're doing either! All you have to do is move." Madeline bumped her hip against Jazz's and kept dancing - a little clumsy, and with a lot of hip gyration. Sometimes her hands would light up for a few seconds.

"Oooh?"

Evie raised an eyebrow, taking a moment to stand and watch this new development with a goofy grin.

"Wow, that's a weird-ass dance to bust out at a party like this." She laughed, the contrast between the way they were dancing compared to everyone around them was absolutely hilarious in her drunken mind. "Lemme get in on that shit!"

Then, without any complaint, she jumped right in and tried to join them. She very obviously had no idea what she was doing, trying to just copy their moves right after they make them and struggling to properly keep up.

After a little while, it actually looked like she starting to get it, kind of, but right as it started to look that way, she made a drunken misstep. Her feet got tangled underneath her, and she started to trip backwards. Rather than just fall down, however, she fell up like Charlie Brown missing a football, spinning in the air like a goddamn cartoon character briefly.

"Awwwww!" She groaned loudly, crossing her arms and pouting as she floated above the dance floor. "What even is this anyway?"

Jazz couldn't help but laugh a little at Maddie's general enthusiasm while she was on her way to the trash. She wasn't sure how much of it was her natural self and how much was the liquor talking, but either way she was definitely fun to be with at the moment. Unconsciously mirroring her friend as she didn't really know what else to do, the bear girl also finished off her drink and tossed it into a bin off to her right.

According to Maddie, everybody here was just making it up as they went along, and while she wasn't entirely sure about that it was comforting to think she wasn't alone in her inexperience. The hip bump caught her off guard a fair bit, stepping back a little and just sort of staring at Maddie dance for a few seconds before managing to speak again. "Uh, you're pretty good at that. I guess just..." Clearing her throat, she moved in closer again, and doing her best to ignore the crowd around them started mimicking her friend's movements to the best of her ability, focusing on just moving her hips to the rhythm for the time being.

Despite Madeline's encouraging words, she actually did know what she was doing. She'd done this kind of dancing before, and she had picked up a few moves. Now she was sharing some of them with Jazz, encouraging her as they went along. "Yeah! You're getting it!"

Maddie started doing some different moves now, with bursts of grace punctuated by stumbling and regaining her balance, smiling, laughing. Even if she was good at this, she also wasn't good at it right now. She would keep saying some encouraging words here and there, trying to help Jazz get into it more.

Over the next ten minutes or so, Jazz was slowly able to ease herself into the whole dancing thing more and more, helped along by watching Maddie and moving with her. The alcohol kicked in more firmly as well, impacting her balance a little but mostly serving its primary purpose of melting away her trepidation about this whole scenario.

As they danced, Jazz found herself almost having more fun just watching Maddie move than doing so herself. Something about her general presentation was oddly enchanting, and she had to stop herself from just idly watching more than once. "A-ah, thanks! That's good to hear." Her friend's encouragement was certainly welcome, allowing her to block out just a bit more of her self consciousness. Opting to copy one of Maddie's maneuvers yet again, she bumped her hip against the other girl's just as she had when they started, laughing and doing a little accompanying twirl afterwards.

Maddie laughed, stumbling from the hip-bump, delighted. Jazz was really getting into it! She was coming out of her shell! Maddie knew she could do it - Jazz did all those game streams in front of all those people, so surely she could handle a few people watching her dance.

Next, Maddie did a little twirl-move of her own, and she did something else: she held out a hand for Jazz to take, so they could do some kind of spontaneous, improvised dancing together. Maddie would try to take the lead on it.
