Oh no. Now they were both teasing about kissing, among other things. Seyyal looked between Sage and Evie. Who now was apparently doing some kind of floating laying down thing. The reference was lost on her but the eyebrows tended to give away what she was trying to insinuate.

Seyyal silently turned and downed another shot in spite of her concern about drinking too much. She coughed and stumbled a little bit and then smiled. "I know how to party. It's just a little different here." Slurring a little bit as she spoke. Different rules and social mores here. Not to mention all the names and varied capabilities she saw if she let herself look around at the crowd.

Screw it. She was there to meet people and have some fun. Let's have some fun. Seyyal took a couple steps away from the bar before turning back. "I think dancing sounds like the best choice. Are you two coming with?"

Also going dancing would pull them away from the drinks. Seyyal knew Sage was trying to avoid drinking any more. It definitely had nothing to do with being curious how good Evie was at dancing. Definitely.

Sage was relieved beyond belief that she no longer had to keep drinking. She wanted to focus on other aspects of the party. Sage had never been one to fit in with a party, but she was going to try to do better now. Not being able to let loose was something she was done being teased about. So that was one thing Evie was right about. Sage needed to forget about her worries.

Also, Evie and Seyyal were most definitely drunk. Sage knew how to handle Seyyal, but Evie seemed beyond her abilities.

"Never heard of Lord of the Ring before, so that reference is lost on me. But I do understand dancing. Out of the three of us, I think I will fare the best at that aspect of the party." A smirk rose up on Sage's face. With her tired eyes, it made her look more confident in her dancing abilities than she was. Like Seyyal and Evie were nothing compared to her. But Sage wasn't a dancer at all. Liking to dance didn't make her good at it. But she was fairly certain her mediocre skills could outperform two drunk people.

"Awww, you're so shyy!" Madeline said, laughing again as she wrapped an arm around Jazz's shoulders. She might have also been using Jazz to support some of her weight. It was becoming increasingly apparent that the alcohol was hitting her. "That's ok. I don't need a nerd herd. We can go find our own dance corner, where we don't need to worry about a girl with 8 tails accidentally slapping you across the face with them every couple seconds."

She paused. "...They were so fluffy though! Like I just wanted to bury my face in them, you know? So she wasn't thaaat bad... uh, bye nerd herd!" she waved at the group that had formed around them, and once again pulled Jazz off in a new direction.

And thus their next choice of action was decided. Evie didn’t want to leave the drinks but, well, she was drunk enough to be at least satisfied for the moment. She realigned herself in the air and grinned.

“Soooounds like a plan!” She laughed, her own words slurring. “To the dance floor!”

She then proceeded to float across the room to the dance floor, flying right over Maddie’s head as she pulled Jazz away. After a dramatic spin in the air, she landed in an unoccupied spot amongst the dancers and turned to face them with confidence that the alcohol only improved. And then she danced.

She danced…well, she danced better than one might expect, actually. She was definitely uncoordinated, and just a little bit off beat from the music, but her powers left her light on her feet and far more balanced than a drunk person should be. Not to mention, she was clearly still energetic, bobbing and swaying to the music without a care.

Evie flashed a smirk at the two of them and winked, gesturing for them both to come and join her. She gave a particularly challenging look to Sage, she could talk to talk, Evie wanted to see if she walked the walk.

Seyyal stumbled a little as she made her way through the more crowded area. Evie of course had used her power to make it there first and she turned to see Sage also coming. A certain lol of intensity on her friend's face. She wasnt totally sure how good either of them were at dancing but... she did know that didnt matter too much in this scenario. Fun was key, as far as she could tell.

Evie was bobbing around and clearly having a good time despite looking a little bit like a grendian who got into the mushrooms. Seyyal gladly joined her in dancing, though her own movements were a little more stiff. A little less carefree, it at least she was clearly trying to let loose. She did though leave a very obvious space for Sage. A challenge was a challenge after all.

"I guess that makes me the judge of who dances better than. Do your worst!... or best?" She had to laugh at her own confusion. Or maybe that was the shots.

"Oh. Right. Have fun you two~!"

Alma found herself with a bit of whiplash for a second as Jazz and Maddie left almost as soon as their group size got bigger. She brushed her hair back over her ear, trying to figure out what to talk about and realizing that she was woefully inept at this sort of thing.

"So uh. You guys listen to Living Dead Girls? They just put out a new single from the album they're working on. It's some of their best work yet, honestly."

The static in her head echoed her anxiety. Talking about a local band that she stans. Smooth. Alma's tail slowly grew out, slipping through the discreet hole in the back of her jeans and cooling down her leg like a furry serpent; a nervous habit that apparently she couldn't even shake by just not having a tail.

The two of them were so drunk. Evie more so. It would've been hilarious if Sage wasn't so naturally so focused on staying aware. So it was only funny enough to get a few chuckles out of her.

And Evie was pretty good at dancing. Surprisingly so. Sage somewhat regretted her choice of words. The music and the "vibe" here were different than back home. She was also unfamiliar with this world's way of dancing. It was time to improvise.

Improvisation on the battleground was key to winning a battle. Here, however, it was different. Sage tried to copy Evie's floaty movements but couldn't manage. The best she could do was swaying her hips and shoulders, mimicking a (very amateur) bellydancer. Her soberness certainly didn't assist with her tenseness.

"You make this look so easy," she said to Evie. Turning her body to her close friend, she faked an annoyed tone. "Seyyal! This can't be fair, yes? I'm certain she's using her powers, and unfortunately, I left my Vial of Enhanced Dancing back home."

”Whaaaaaaaa? It’s a compliment. Tall girls are dope.” Cyril said to Azu, trying to brush off his abrupt comment. He laughed though, and nodded as the girls introduced themselves. Admittedly, the twins only just started the party scene. But with Cyril’s boisterous personality, it didn’t take long to fall into it. Lyric related more to Bel and Azu, though. He wasn’t an active participant in these things, so he still felt as awkward as a newbie.

As soon as the group grew a bit larger, Cyril noticed the particularly shy girl and what he assumed was her partner dip out. ”Oh, byyye~” Cyril waved at them. ”Poor thing, these shindigs can be kinda intimidating though. This one time, I was dared to dance on a table-”

Cyril, for once, was the one abruptly cut off as Lyric gasped. ”Oh!! I listen to him!” He excitedly buzzed. ”I love their new album. I’ve been listening to it on repeat. Cyril usually just listens to stuff from the narrow reality, but I kind of stick to local scenes. There are a lot of underground gems here with sounds you don’t quite hear from normies.” He said, fumbling a bit with the edge of his own hawaiin shirt. ”Bel, Azu, do you guys like any local bands? We should all go to a show someday. That would be fun.”

Azucena just sighed and flashed Alma a slightly apologetic look when Cyril shrugged it off, just standing a bit awkwardly between Bel and Lyric as Cyril socialized with an ease she had to envy. Taking a sip of her drink, Azu piped up when asked about local bands.

"My sister Tanzi is a sound mixer, and well, she loves playing with music, and because of her, local bands are what I kinda know the best," she explained somewhat shyly, though starting to feel the alcohol in her White Russian starting to take hold.

"Wow, I did not know that, Azu. That's really cool," Bel said, obviously impressed at Azucena's confession. Then looking at Cyril and then to Alma, she shook her blonde head. "Sorry, I am still not overly familiar with the local music scene here. What type of music do they play?" she asked the group as she unconsciously brushed a lock of her long hair behind her ear.

Evie, shameless cheater that she was, simply grinned at Sage's complaints. She crossed her arms in front of her, before leaning her entire body forward until she was standing at a blatantly impossible 45-degree angle. A move clearly only possible by adjusting her gravity.

"If you're gonna step to the queen you gotta bring everything ya got!" She cackled, looking smug. "Come ooooooon, you gotta loosen up! Both of you!"

She then reversed directions, changing gravity until she stood straight again, then continuing to move back until she was leaning in the opposite direction. Evie rested her hands on the back of her head, looking as if she was leaning against an invisible wall. She smirked at them, still looking smug, her whole expression and demeanour seemed to say 'impress me'.
