Sage paused at the comment Evie made. Based on the way she looked at her, it must have been directed towards her. Too bad the music and all the talking people made it hard for Sage to hear exactly what was said.

She did pick up on Evie's compliment at least. Approaching the group, she held out the bottom of her flannel shirt a bit and smiled. "Thank you. I wanted something casual to fit in with the 'scene.'" Speaking the slang used here was awkward, but it was all worth it to feel less awful about being so out-of-place.

"I haven't drunk anything but water yet. You know how I am..." Sage was never one to drink much. She would have a few sips, but nothing to mess with her mindset. She considered it too much of a hazard for the healer to be drunk. If something bad happened, she needed to be ready to help out. The downside to this was everyone else having fun with their drinks and she awkwardly making sure her friends were safe.

Seyyal talking about people swooning over her snapped Sage out of a potentially stressed mindset "Of course they would. A few people around here like the strong woman type. Much easier to notice your muscles when you're not in your armor," she teased.

Satisfied with Jazz's reaction, Maddie started making another mixed drink for herself.

Jazz said she didn't know what to do at parties. Maddie didn't skip a beat: "well, what I do mostly just get a little drunk and do a bunch of crazy stuff. Whatever seems fun at the time. Hail satan, by the way." She drew a pentagram in the air with her finger. It glowed green when she completed it, and a small green fire seemed to rise up out of her own plastic cup. "Let loose, you know? Go with the flow. Push a stranger into the pool and start a fight. Whatever."

She raised her cup and clinked it against Jazz's. "Or we could just try dancing first."

The twins chuckled in unison, their overall aura listening a bit as they were comforted by the presence of their friends. Lyric took another sip of his drink as a bit of liquid courage to continue the conversation, while Cyril did so effortlessly.

”Hey. If it makes you guys feel any better, I wouldn’t exactly put it past y’all.” Cyril said in response to them being party crashes. He doubted that was the case though- considering he may have been the one to indirectly invite them.

When they stated their drink of choice, they both nodded as they worked together to fix it up for them, Cyril having to take the lead. ”School’s been killer man. Exams this and detentions that. Fuck that noise. Tonight….” He handed the finished drinks to the girls as they went back to hold their drinks, this time raising them in a toast. ”We’re gonna have fun.”

"See? Even your friend agrees!" Evie giggled as she took another long slurp of her drink. She was definitely starting to get a nice buzz going on at this point, rocking back and forth on her heels as she smirked at the two of them. "You shouldn't show up to a party by yourself without expecting to catch at least a few eyes. I hope you're taking note of all these things, you'll never get used to it otherwise!"

Evie didn’t know whether this Sage person was another one of the Lionesses Seyyal mentioned or just another friend, but either way, Evie could tell she was pretty out of place as well. After hearing them discuss the amount (or lack thereof) of alcohol they’d had, Evie figured she could try to fix that.

“Speeeeaaaking of which, it sounds to me like you two aren’t fully taking advantage of all there is to offer here. You gotta loosen up more! And I think I know just the way how.”

She turned to the bartender again, and after a quick few words, she had three shots of vodka sitting on the bar top, one for each of them. She took one for herself before shooting a challenging grin to the other girls.

“How well can you hold your liquor?” She asked. It felt like it’d be a shame if all this alcohol went to waste, and it might be fun to see them get a little tipsier.

Besides, if she wanted to keep those empty, nagging feelings out of the back of her mind, she was gonna need more drinks whether they joined in or not.

Bel just grinned at Cyril and then at Lyric, enjoying the banter between the group. "Thanks, I haven't had a White Russian in ages," she said as she accepted the drink from the twins.

"School has been killer lately," Azucena agreed wholeheartedly as she also accepted the drink from the twins - wondering now what had gone into it. She saw the milk go in - which was surprising - along with a darker alcohol and something that looked like water.

"It seemed like the teachers wanted to cram the last two months into two weeks," she stated with a shake of her head.

Following the twins lead, both Bel and Azu raised their glasses in a toast. "Here's to a night of fun and shenanigans or my name is not Beltane!" the goddess joked as she took a sip of her sweet boozy drink.

"I will second that, Bel," Azu added happily as she tried her drink, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted. Maybe alcohol was not all that bad, she thought happily as she took another sip.

"Alright now I know you're both in on some kind of plot. I'm really not that tall or strong. I'm just fit and know how to use what I have.... wait I don't mean it like that," she quickly corrected. Afraid that Evie or Sage, or both, would turn that into something about using her using what she ad to attract people. Which totally wasn't her intention. She was just trying to fit in with all the people not wearing armor to their big parties, right?

"I can handle having eyes on me. but yes, I think more drinking should help all of us right now," she sighed and pulled Sage towards the array of shots. If she was getting drunk Sage had to at least come along for some of the ride. Reservations about alcohol aside. Seyyal reached out and downed her shot with little hesitation. "I know a challenge when I hear one. Fair war- oh that's terrible." She cut herself off after swallowing the liquor. "As I was saying. I'm competitive, but not a fool so don't try anything sly." The half-suppressed chuckle at the rhyme might have been one of the first signs the buzz from her earlier drink was having some effect.

Late to the party, Alma almost hadn't come at all. She had reasoned that there would be alcohol there and part of her was definitely Could Not Be Down For That(tm). But she also figured, with the help of the static in her head she had come to call her 'inner frat hype team', that she needed to try and live a little more dangerously. At least a little.

Shredded jeans and a black Venom crop top with her favorite knee length studded combat boots rounded out a more subdued look than what she normally had. No wings or tail, so she could better move around the crowded party. Her senses were on high alert as she glanced around, her nose struggling to pick out individual scents in the melange of stuff going on.

Sage wanted to continue and tease Seyyal with a straight face. It was fun, being the stoic person that was difficult to read. It made all her jokes come off as potentially serious. And that is where the true comedy where. Too bad Seyyal knew her too well to know she had a playful streak. Not that she was lying when she made those comments about Seyyal.

And then Evie wanted the three of them to do shots. Sage grimaced as she was pulled over. "I'd rather be sober," she spoke firmly. "I don't know how parties are around here. I should be aware in case anything tries to catch me off guard."

Get a little drunk, huh? Jazz gave Maddie a quick glance over after she said that, making a note to herself to watch out for Maddie and try to keep her from going too overboard. However, the thought didn't cross her mind that she didn't exactly have a frame of reference for how many drinks were too many.

"O-oh, um, right. Hail Satan, yeah." She laughed awkwardly, unsure of how serious Maddie was being, then opted to mask her nervous expression by bringing the cup to her lips for another sip. Naturally, she wasn't the biggest fan of the whole starting a fight idea, but dancing seemed...at least possible. Almost spilling some of her drink due to the abrupt toast, she hesitated, then nodded shakily.

"I, uh...dancing should be fine, I guess. I mean, if you don't think I'll slow you down too much." In an attempt to expedite the alleged social lubrication that liquor was supposed to bring, she chugged about half of the cup, licking her lips and shaking her head. Rather than finishing it, she held onto the cup as an impromptu lifeline as she realized she had absolutely no idea what to do with her hands. "Do you, um. Think you can get us started? I've, ha...n-never done this, exactly."

Maddie snickered a little as Jazz returned her 'hail satan.' She wondered for a second if she could make that catch on with people. But that was probably a stupid idea. She joined Jazz in downing a lot of her drink all at once.

"Alright! Let's go find a good place to dance." She would tug Jazz along to some other part of the house party, "There's nothing to it," Maddie assured her.

Around this time, they crossed paths with Alma. Madeline let go of Jazz's hand just for a moment to smile and wave at her, before taking hold of Jazz once again. "Hey Alma! You see any good places to dance around here?"
