By the outskirts of the campus, the sweet scent of baked goods waffled in the air. Whatever that scent was, it smelled delicious. It wouldn't be too difficult to find a cake-shaped building with a sign stating "Sugarpop Cafe". There were couples sitting on the porch together and a worker promoting the place and welcoming guests into the building. The worker even had bite-sized versions of the treats they sold for people to eat as samples.

Right by the door there was Abia Defan herself; she was doing her best to be a proactive owner. She greeted everyone and made conversation. All to help the atmosphere feel a bit warmer. Of course she was periodically checking up on her employees to make sure they were doing their jobs and that there weren't any problems.

Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to get something to eat. Or perhaps one was interested in one of the job openings instead.

((OOC: Here is the cafe's description. If you want to RP out job stuff, work on a busy opening day, or even just hang out for coffee, feel free!)

Standing behind one of the cash registers, surrounded by all the bright warm colours, sweet snacks, and happy faces, was a teenaged girl with a very dull expression handling the money.

Euphemia didn't really need a job. She didn't need to buy food, she had no real material desires that she'd need money to spend on, and her living space was covered by the school. She would have been content to focus on her education at the academy and spend the rest of her free time either in her dorm or exploring the city.

But, after a few weeks of settling in, she was still struggling to fit in, to relate to her peers around her. Her tutor, Celeste, had her helping out during classes. She thought that making her interact with other students was bound to help her learn how to properly handle social situations, help her learn how to understand other people. But Euphemia felt her progress had been limited. So in order to gain more experience, her teacher had suggested finding work, which lead to her being here.

She wasn't exactly brimming with enthusiasm, but she was always polite, never lost patience with any of the more ornery customers, and handled the money quickly and efficiently. She was a fine worker, even with the lack of emotion in her face and voice.
