He smiled, wondering why she had done that as well. "Odd part about my power is that it's not like my whole body is hot, but rather it's just my right hand. Thanks for the help though." Alastair wondered why he let her continue to soothe his eye as such.

He wanted to be silent and so Alastair willed himself to shut it for a couple seconds, thinking that to be silent is golden was truly a golden quotation. After a couple seconds of not talking, his eye was finally cooled down by both the rain and her touch, which made him hotter for some reason.

"Um, what's your power?" Alastair asked, his eyes constantly darting from the stars to her eyes. She made him smile and she was his first friend here, he didn't really know anyone here either.

For some reason, Kyako didn't think her power was as good as his. She transported herself a few feet away and then changed herself into a butterfly. "Ta da!" A minute later she changed back and transported herself back to the spot she had been sitting on.

"And that's my power." She nearly slapped herself when she realized for the next ten hours or so she would not be able to use her powers, unless of course she wanted to become mute for a while.

Alastair smiled, "Nice!" He wished he could teleport himself from one place to another and shape shift, it would be so much more handy than having a hot hand. "A lot more useful than mine." Alastair looked at his hand and merely brushed through his thick brown hair.

"So what do you like to do on your free time, other than getting soaked by drizzle by strangers?" The teenager looked to the side towards her and away from the stars. Kyako was more interesting now then they were.

Kyako had to admit that she was glad he liked her power. She liked it, most of the time. It was the weakness she had that she hated. "Ah, I wouldn't say that. It helps when it's freezing cold out and something needs warmed up."

Grinning, she held her hands up as if in surrender. "I swear this isn't what I normally do. Though it is showing to be quite enjoyable." And she really meant it too. He was becoming her friend quite fast, and she was glad. "Well, I grew up in a boys orphanage so I grew up playing sports. Those are fun. Reading is something I've just lately found out I like doing. What about you?"

Rising, his eyes were constantly being assailed by his onslaught of raindrops falling on him. He smiled as she said that, "I'm more of the shy guy myself, and a bit of a klutz from what you saw back there. Different people bring different emotions out of me. I'm usually more of the interviewee."

Walking towards a building, which he had no idea it was the gym, Alastair started to answer her question. "I'm a bit of a sports guy, but soccer is really my only thing. Other than that I have no depth perception. I'm new here to the school so meeting someone and getting to know them makes this a lot better on me. I'm more of a book worm and stargazer. It just makes me appreciate the place a bit more."

Opening the door, he saw that the gym was completely empty, but the lights were still on and a couple people playing basketball treaded the court, sweat dripping like rain onto the floor.

Having followed him, Kyako nodded and stepped into the dryness of the gym. Since the people were only playing half-court, she looked up at him and quirked a questioning brow. "Despite that you pretty much only play soccer, you want to scrimage?" Instead of her hopes of getting tired, she had more energy now.

Looking at her he shook his head wondering just how much energy he really had. The whole thing made him somewhat edgy, but whatever, she asked and what would he do if he said no, just sit there and talk more.

"Sure, why not. I'll get the ball." Grabbing a ball, he tossed it up and kicked it into a net. "Let's play the width of the court so we don't bump into them." The basketball players looked at him strangely when he mentioned soccer.

((Did you know she was refereing to scrimaging in basketball, right?))

When he shook his head, she thought he didn't wanted to play. But then he said he would, and she smiled. When he kicked the ball into the net, she clapped lightly in applause and went to retrieve it. Instead, though, she ended up tooking a hairband off of her wrist and pulling back the top half of her hair--her hair was too short to pull it all up on top of her head--wrapped the band around it, making a cute little ponytail.

After her hand were free, Kyako then grabbed the ball and rested it against her hip. "You want it first?"

Tilting his head, the boy smiled and looked at one of the basketballs. "We should play a bit of basketball." Alastair drifted closer to her, picking up a basketball by her, "They're giving us odd looks." His eyes looked down, his hand lazily dribbling.

Passing her the ball Alastair smiled, "Ladies first." He quietly said staring at the ball. Smiling once he said, "No powers, ok?"

Kyako dribbled the ball to half court and shook her head, grinning evilly. 'I hadn't even thought to do that. But now that you mention it...." She quickly moved her way down to the basket and did an easy lay-up, making the shot.

Turning to him, she shook her head. "But I can't use it anymore today."
