His eyes looked to the left and then looked towards the forests squeezing the school in a bubble. "How long have you been at the school?" Alastair knew that the conversation between them was hitting rock bottom only because it was night and he unlike her was tired.

Emotionally and physically. He placed his left hand in his pocket, staring back at the gym, smiling at the somewhat broken knob.

Kyako had to think about it for a moment before answering. "About a year and a half now. What about you?" She couldn't believe it had even been that long.

Seeing his train of sight, Kyako looked at the door handle and grinned. She had to forcably stop herself from teleporting herself over to it. If she did, then she might as well stop walking around with Alastair and go to bed, for she wouldn't be able to speak for a while.

"I've been here for only a couple days." Alastair said before his other hand returned to his pocket, the sensation only burned for a little bit. His eyes looked towards the dorms now, and he hadn't even seen the rooms. "Why did you get here, I mean you seemed to have mastered your powers?"

Kyako shrugged. "I suppose I have, yes. Back when I was at the boys orphanage, I would teleport and shapeshift all the time, making me mute--not that I talked at all anyway. But a year ago my....father...sent me here and said once I had my power controlled to where I wouldn't teleport all the time anymore, I could go back."

Holding her hands together tightly now, she sighed and kept her gaze on the ground. "I've done it. But he hasn't come for me yet."

"He'll come." He tried to reassure her with a false sense of security. He would have wanted to receive the same lie if he'd been waiting for her, or would he? Alastair stared at his hand, wondering if he would've loved to be with a friend in a school or would he just wanna go home.

"With the time you have now, don't become mad at them. Just hang out here with the other friends you have here." She was charming and probably could have friends.

Kyako brightened somewhat at his words. She smiled softly up at him. "Thanks. I needed to hear that. It'd be easy for me to get angry at him and all the others at the orphanage and begin to hate them for not caring about me."

She didn't have many friends, but enough she wouldn't be terribly bored and alone. She had to admit she liked the academy more than the orphanage. There were females here, whereas the orphanage had only had one female: the cook. And that lady had not ever even tried talking to Kyako.
