Rae would have answered but instead she felt insulted that he thought she was scared of him. "Where did you get the idea that I was scared of you? Threatened, yes. But scared?" She picked up and small roc that was jabbing into her side and threw it away from her down the cave.

The thing was, Rae remembered her own words, but the one typing it all didn't.

Rae sighed inwardly. "Maybe I did say that. Anyway, sure, I'll go back with you. As long as you don't try killing me again," she teased.

"Oh come on.. I wouldn't do that!" He didn't even try killing her in the first place! It was Corona's fault... sort of. Speaking of Corona, he hadn't said anything in a while. Strange. He didn't think much of it, he was more curious as to how long they had been in that cave. How long would it be until sunrise?

Rae rolled her eyes. He had done it once, he could do it again. Of course, she had also, so the same philosiphy(sp?) could be directed to her also. "Well, I'm going to sleep. So good night." Rae scooted away from the wall to give herself some room to lie down before curling up into a ball and falling into a deep slumber.

"Err... goodnight." That was sudden. He hadn't expected her to suddenly just fall asleep like that. She didn't even seem to trust him much. He figured that he should probably get some sleep, as well. He was a bit tired after today's training. He laid back and closed his eyes. After a short while, he drifted off to sleep.

Corona had just "awakened" from his resting. He figured he would get his rest out of the way earlier so he could watch over Paul and Rae through the night. He was afraid if he rested when they did that something could catch them by surprise.

Paul's eyes opened and flashed gold for a second. Corona had taken mental control, while keeping Paul's mind still asleep. Corona stood up and walked out of the cave. While Paul's human eyes could not see in the dark, Corona had memorized the lay out of the cave well enough to walk through to the outside. It was oddly quiet outside. He had expected to hear the sounds of critters hunting or some other odd things. But it was deadly quiet. He had hoped that it didn't mean what he thought it did.

A long while later Rae woke up, a strange feeling creeping up her spine. She stood slowly, and walked over to where Paul had fallen asleep. But he wasn't there. Her eyes narrowed and an angry growl came out from between her lips. Where is he? She wondered furiously before grabbing her sword, putting it back into the scabbard and not caring that she could get very deathly ill by doing so, light her hand up and stalked through the cave.

"..and why is it you tell me this?" It sounded like Paul's voice, only slightly different. He seemed to be talking to someone, but it wouldn't be anyone she was familiar with.

"Because, it's more fun if you know about it, Corona. That way, you can freak out and risk your life to save humans like you always do. 'It's my job!' you say. How amusing. There are plenty more creatures where that one came from." The second voice seemed to be talking about the strange giant rotting lizard-man like creature that lay dead on the ground next to Corona. "You needed Guardian Form just take out one of them.. imagine a whole army!"The evil voice laughed hysterically.

Paul's appearance had definitely changed. He wore an extravagant white kimono and a pair of angelic wings came out from his back on the sides of a long white cape. The cape had the symbol of a golden cross on it. His hair and eyes both carried a strong golden glow to them.

"You won't succeed, Lesset." He retorted, but the evil voice never spoke again. Corona looked at the dead creature as it slowly seemed to evaporate into nothingness. What strange experiments was Lesset doing? The only reason he beat that creature was because it was undead. If it were living he wouldn't have stood a chance. Could they really be mass produced?

Rae finally got out of the cave and began shining the light in various directions in search of Paul. She didn't think of the fact that he could jump out at her and slice her throat before she could even attempt to get away. She just knew that she had to find him and that when she got her hands on him he would have wished he had never left.

Finally her light caught sight of some form and she focused on it. But her light was decreasing rapidly. In less than ten seconds the light totally deminished to nothing. A black spot appeared on Rae's palm--something she hadn't known was going to happen.

Rae took a step toward the winged figure but her legs could not hold her up any longer. Her knees buckled and she crumpled to the earth, no longer conscious.

Corona noticed her coming towards him and rushed backwards and caught her before she hit the ground. Perhaps it was a good thing she lost consciousness. She would probably be convinced that everything she saw was a dream. And neither Paul nor Rae would ever know what had happened that night.

"That light she can make must take a lot of energy." H observed, remembering how he too would fall unconscious for a few hours. The form he currently had taken took massive amounts of spiritual energy, and humans could not output that much energy for very long. His eyes and hair were already flashing back between silver and gold, signifying the low amount of energy he had left. He picked up the girl and carried her back to the cave. His golden eyes allowed him to see in the dark perfectly. He let her down in the same place she had fallen asleep, and sat himself down in the same place Paul had fallen asleep. His clothing soon faded back to Paul's, and Corona faded back into Paul's mind. Within seconds, he fell asleep once more.
