He felt bad about eating when she couldn't, but he knew it was probably for the better. Especially if they were stuck here for a few days. He wasn't sure if they could make it back to the school by nightfall. And, unlike most males his age, he wasn't very strong. Carrying her would probably be quite tiring for him. Of course, Corona could fly...
No, that wouldn't work. I can barely keep aloft for a few minutes as it is. Carrying someone with your weak body wouldn't work at all. Not to mention you would pass out for a few hours afterwords. Makings the situation even worse. You're stuck here until she can walk.

Without knowing his thoughts, Rae struggled out "Don't try and move me. I won't live." And it was the truth.
"Eh?" He looked over to her, looking concerned. "You'll die? Does your power really suck that much out of you? Why did you use it so much then?" He seemed quite worried about her. And he found it annoying that he passed out for several hours after Corona had taken control..
"I won't if you don't move me." She caught her breath before pressing on. "And I saw you were gone so I went searching for you. I was stupid enough to use my light when I...hadn't gotten much rest or been in the sun for a while."
"So..you need the sun to make that light? Sort of like a glow-stick?" He blinked and ate a berry. "Huh. That's sort of cool." He leaned back against the wall of the cave and sighed. "Erm..what do we do until then?"
"Yeah, like a glow-stick." She slowly moved a shaky hand up to wipe her sweaty brow. "You could go back to the school. Or go outside or something."
"What? No..I'm not going to leave you here all alone. You can't defend yourself." he paused for a moment and thought. " Or is it that you want me to leave...?"
Rae's mouth began to dry up. Without answering him she asked him if he could somehow get her some water.
"Err.. yeah but.. how would I carry it?"He asked Corona if there was anything nearby he could use to carry water with. Though, Corona couldn't come up with anything. He did mention that there may be a big enough leaf or something, though.
