Rae went back to normal soon. But just after the light ran outn in her hand and she became slightly scared. She had no idea Paul was following her so she just kept walking deeper and deeper into the cave, feeling her way along.

The light is gone..
He could still tell she was in front of him, so he decided to stay the course and follow her. The only reason he didn't have any doubt was because he knew Corona would get him out of any bad situation that would arise... he hoped..

Rae finally came to a dead-end. She unsheathed her sword and set it in the ground before sitting against the wall. Without warning she pulled her knees up against her chest and after dropping her forehead down, began sobbing in earnest.
When he heard the unsheathing of the sword he stopped and wondered if she had heard him. But when he heard the sword stick into the ground and what apparently was her sitting on the ground crying, he felt a little awkward. Was she crying because of what had happened earlier? Or was it something else?
Corona said that he could talk to her, or leave and try to get back to the school in the darkness. Paul figured the cave would probably be safe until morning, and he wasn't about to leave Rae here...
.."Rae? Are you there?" He said softly, trying to act like he hadn't been following her this whole time.

Startled, Rae's head popped up from its position. "Paul? That you?" She said on a sniffle rght before she franctically swiped at her tears. No way was she going to risk him knowing she had been crying.
Rae grabbed the bottom of her shirt and used it to dry her face before pulling it back into place.

"..Yeah. Well I couldn't just leave you here.." For about a split second he thought about whether to act if she was alone or with Moe, he figured the former would be his safest bet considering how she was acting "... alone. It's dangerous.And um.. besides, I don't know the way back..heh."
"Well, I don't either. And just to get it out of the way, I cannot create anymore light." Rae squinted through the darkness but could see nothing at all. "Please come closer if you're going to stay so I can know where you are."
"O-oh.. right." He motioned to move closer but tripped on an unseen rock and nearly fell on top of her. "Ow.."
"Heh.. yeah, I'm fine, thanks" He said as he let her help him. He sat up against the wall next to her, being careful of her sword (that he nearly cut himself on). "Why did you come into this cave, anyways? How did you know that nothing was living in it? Err.. how do you know nothing lives in it?"
