Rae shrugged. "It's secluded. And I don't." Rae pull her sword out of the ground and laid it flat.

"Well, I suppose we are stuck here until morning. It's way too dangerous to go out there now. But for all we know something will be coming back to its home any minute." He was a bit uncomfortable with being unable to see, but figured Corona could probably warn him if something was coming. He didn't know how he did that, but he surely was able to.

"We both have swords. And if I have to I'll use the light so we can see." She didn't mention that by doing so it would drain all energy from her and she wouldn't be able to hardly breathe for days, let alone stand and walk.

Rae frowned. "You already asked me that. But I'll answer them again anyway. I hypnotized you, and I felt you were a threat, so...yeah."

Rae folded her arms across her chest and looked away uncomfortably even though he couldn't see her face through the darkness. He just wouldn't understand if she tried to explain. Running from her problems was what she did best. She had been doing it for years and it was just an immediate action she made when she got into situations she wanted out of. It wasn't like she had anything against Paul. Of course, if she said that it would sound quite odd considering she had almost tried to murder the guy.

Why DID I try to kill him? She wondered. Since she was 'normal' at the moment, Rae had no idea about Moe or that she had influenced her to try and kill someone. Rae finally shrugged her shoulders gently. “Would you like me to say I ran because I was scared? Because I feared you’d kill me? Well, I don’t have a sufficient answer for your question, Paul. I just don’t.”

Well, Corona did draw the Guardian's Blade and swung it at her. And even though it can't cut living flesh, there is no way she would have known that. Paul figured that what she said made sense enough. Or at least, he wouldn't push the subject further. A more serious matter was at hand anyways,

"In the morning.. did you want to go back to the school together? Or are you still afraid of me..?"
