"That threat isn't going to work on me because I'm not dying today," Alaude replied. Lochlann had his chance to kill him when he dragged him in the water, yet it happened so fast and Alaude knew it wasn't to his own credit how he got away. But that was that, and Lochlann wasn't getting anywhere near biting him again, more so drowning him.
Alaude fixed his posture on his bike, straddling it, as if he was prepared to drive away anytime. And he was. The motorcycle roared to life even without him pushing any button or using any key.
"Okay, I won't destroy it," he said, still waving the necklace in the air in a way that was somewhat challenging Lochlann to come and get it. "But if you aren't going tell me anything, I can just ride away from here and you're going to have to follow me to the city where everyone else is going to see you like that. Now you don't want that, do you? So, what's this for?" Based on how Lochlann had pleaded not to answer his questions the last time, Alaude knew Lochlann, in fact, wouldn't want something like that to happen.
Strangely enough, Alaude's voice wasn't low enough to sound threatening or serious. Instead, he sounded like the two of them were simply messing with each other yet again.
"It's not like there's a lot more you need to explain," he continued, gesturing at Lochlann with his free hand from head to... hooves? and back up. "It's curious though. If I'm remembering this right, my sister has a really ugly scar on the exact same spot where you bit me. Curious. Very curious."
