Alec hadn't wanted to join a club until yesterday. Despite his love for singing, he hadn't joined any music-related club, and honestly, he thought there will never be a club that will pique his interest.

As it turned out, he was wrong.

He checked for the club list because of the upcoming events in school. That's when he saw it, the I&A Club. At first, it wasn't really that much of a big deal, but Paradox kept making a fuss over it, saying Alec could have fun playing with his powers if he became a member. Having fun was Paradox's thing though; Alec was usually a lazy ass during daylight. But after hours of nonstop convincing, Paradox finally got Alec interested, and the latter turned out to be genuinely interested.

He went to the room where the club was supposed to be meeting. He didn't expect anyone to be there, as the club seemed and sounded too shady for the norm, at least as he saw it. But there was one person when he got there. The person he was supposed to approach, he thought.

Quite intrigued, Alec watched for a few seconds from the doorway. He had the natural lack of presence, so even though the guy notices him, it wouldn't be right away. When he thought he's had enough watching, he approached him quietly (though that was just natural, not intentional) to ask about the class straightforwardly.

"Hi there," he greeted. "Is I&A your club? Because I want to join."

Wesker entered the empty classroom at precisely when the time slot or the I&A club was scheduled. He had arranged for a ridiculously short amount of time for an officially scheduled meeting of the club. This was really just part of the game for him, It would force people to actively seek out the clubs services if they desired them, and the members would be allotted an amount of privacy and freedom to conduct anything necessary elsewhere.

A brief glance was cast over the room before Wesker strolled over to the teacher's desk and sat himself in the plush chair. Taking a moment to straiten out his jacket, he kicked his feet up on the desk and pulled out his phone and a small notebook and pen. He began scribbling in the notebook and checking something or other on his phone, whittling away at what little time he was to spend here.

After spending a short while doing this, Wesker's senses found the pale mouse of a boy that was standing in the open doorway. He choose to leave the newcomer alone for the time being, continuing to go about his time wasting until the youth stepped into the room. Wesker closed his notebook and returned it to his pocket, swinging his legs back onto the ground and standing. "It is indeed. I am Wesker Straundlin."

A gloved hand was extended from Wesker with the intention of shaking Alec's. "If you truly intend to admit yourself into the club, you should know there is an initiation."

"I'm Alec Weiss." Alec took that hand immediately, holding it for a brief handshake before letting it go again. Of course, he expected there would be some kind of initiation. There always was. He was here to know what it was.

"I figured. What should I do to get in?"

Looking at the nature of the club, Alec wasn't expecting an easy task. To be honest, he wasn't all that certain he'll be able to complete it. But it was worth the shot. Besides, Paradox will just take over if there's a need for it later on.

He only hoped he wouldn't have to walk around or stay under the sun for too long. Anything but that.

Wesker's smile widened a little bit. "It's quite simple really. You must of course obtain the proper paperwork to join the club. Once you've filled out the forms, you must then demonstrate your skills for gathering information. I have set up drop locations around the school, find one and leave the paperwork there. Once it's been processed I will inform you of the status of your membership."

"Uhuh. I suppose I have to figure out all of those then?" There was suddenly a grin on Alec's lips, one that showed that he was actually interested and hyped for the challenge. He'd love to go through it; it was going to be fun, and at the same time he'll have the chance to join the club Paradox wanted and make him want, too. He nodded, to show he understood.

"Alright. Uh... anything else though? Starter clues, or deadline?"

Wesker chuckled a little bit. "It wouldn't be a suitable test if you didn't have to find out a few things. I will be expecting those in my club to have the skills necessary." He shook his head at Alec's next question. "Nothing else, and neither of those things. Clues would defeat the purpose, while a deadline is unnecessary."

Fair enough, both Alec and Paradox thought as the former nodded at Wesker to show he understood. "Alright. Sounds good," he said. He then turned to the door, seeing as he didn't have any other reason to stay. "See you when I finish it."

They weren't going to waste time, Alec decided. Although he preferred working at night or by sundown, he knew the admissions office usually aren't open anymore after working hours.

He stopped walking. He looked out of a window in the hallway, hoping the day wasn't too sunny, and the sun not too antagonistic. But what he saw made him frown. He hated having to go outside under that heat, that brightness, and he hated that he had to do it anyway.

A sigh. "Might as well end this sooner." Off he went straight to the admissions building. Even though that required him to leave this building and go outside to get there.

He had a pair of sunglasses in his pocket. That would somehow help, but as for the UV rays from the sun, he was just going to have to stick to the shadows as much as possible.

He got there safely, fortunately. He was right to expect that the offices had the forms he needed for applying to a club. So he just had to fill them up, and find those drop locations Wesker had mentioned.

How, was the question. Alec and Paradox had already thought that they could use their ability for some convenience, since that's all that mattered anyway-- one's capability of getting some information. They would have to start with rounding the school and get people talking about the information they needed. Stir their minds and convince them into talking about secret drop off points and joining a club.

By late afternoon, when the sun isn't too hot or bright anymore, Alec began singing random lyrics related to that topic, while using his powers to invade people's minds and force them to think of what he wanted them to think. Just like little demons and angels on one's shoulders whispering what one could do. He did so while walking around, and did it casually, and whoever would hear his voice will fall under this power, and Alec made sure to round the whole school to get everyone to talk.

By nightfall he was able to know about three secret drop off points, though the two weren't as clear as the other one. So Alec decided to go with the clearer information, and dropped off his papers "in the rope of the third set of curtains in the ballroom" the next early morning. He's heard that detail repeatedly, and trusted that it was accurate enough for him to follow.

And then he went back to the club's assigned room on the assigned time, to confirm from Wesker if he did the steps right.

Wesker has once again posted himself at the teacher's desk, his feet kicked up and in his hands the very documents Alec had dropped off not too long ago. He glanced up from his reviewing to the pale man when he enters.

"Rather restless, aren't you Mr Weiss? I did tell you I would get in touch with you once they papers had been cleared did I not?" He kicked his feet down and placed the papers on the desk. "I foresee no problems with your application, if you are so ill at ease you may begin club activities as you wish. Was there something else I could do for you?"

Alec opened his mouth and raised an index finger, as if he really was about to say something. But then he dropped them and gave a sheepish laugh that was both for himself and for Wesker.

His papers were already there, which was ridiculously fast.

"I didn't think you'd get them by now," he said, letting himself in for a moment and heading to the windows on the other side of the room to glance outside. But then he stepped back immediately and turned around, as the sun was already starting to emit that irritating kind of brightness.

He looked at Wesker again. "Well... I just wanted you to know I was done. But it seems like that wasn't necessary after all," he shrugged, still smiling. He glanced at the papers before walking back towards the door, and if not halted, he was going back to his room to get some sleep. "I... will see you when I see you, Mr. Straundlin. Thanks for being accommodating."

Wesker nodded, and gave Alec a two-fingered salute as he kicked his feet up again. "Welcome to the club Mr Weiss, I do hope it will be interesting." [End]
