"Don't underestimate me, tall person. I'm small, but I have no problem running with an M82 in my arms. It's my sniper rifle in case you're wondering."

"Point taken," Lochlann said, laughing again. He appreciated her translation; though he'd been above the surface for a little bit under the decade, he wasn't always so quick to pick up things like that.

He responded to her tapping by moving his hand, leaning back and propping himself up on his elbow instead.

"Uh... Sure. I'll take you on anytime. I'm gonna place a bet though."

"Good, I'm looking forward to it," Lochlann said. He groaned because she took another piece of pizza and it smelled so damn good, so he took his fourth piece. He was never going to eat pizza again after this. "You know what's going to suck though? Walking down these stairs after eating so much pizza."

Lochlann flopped onto his back completely, looking up at the clouds. He just wanted to suck up as much of this day as he could.

"So when do I have to return you to work?" he asked.

ooc: my lame post is lame sorry ;_;

[ooc: It's fine :) ]

"Really?" Adelene looked curious as she followed him with her eyes. She was wondering about the pizza thing, not really sure what he meant. She caught up just after that, though. "Oh wait. Don't tell me you're full." She snickered and muttered a teasing "weak~" before munching down her last bite of her third slice. At least they got to finish the whole pizza, only one was left and she decided to take it.

And then she suddenly stood up, just as Lochlann decided to completely lie down. She wasn't being very self-conscious, and she just took Lochlann's whiskey again to have another sip. The alcohol would help her digest all those carbohydrates, she thought.

"I don't need to go for at least thirty more minutes," she said, turning briefly to look at Kranz's shop. It was so noticeable, being all medieval-ish inside and out. And then she sat back down, still holding Loch's flask. She briefly and thoughtfully regarded it.

"So when are we doing the contest?"

"Really?" "Oh wait. Don't tell me you're full."

"Did you juts call me weak?" Lochlann squinted at her suspiciously, but since she was standing up and he was lying on the ground so some of his dramatic effect was lost. "My stomach happens to be full of my amazing abs. There's not a lot of room for pizza in there."

She took the flask and Lochlann raised his hand, motioning for her to pass it to him when she was finished. He had a lazy, almost sleepy grin on his face. Being around her relaxed him to the point of near-exhaustion sometimes.

"I don't need to go for at least thirty more minutes,"

"Hmmm....what can Addy and I do that will take no more than thirty minutes...?" Lochlann mused allowed. Surprisingly, his mind was not in the gutter when he said that. "Addy, what do you want to do before you have to go back to work?"

"So when are we doing the contest?"

"Well, not when we only have thirty minutes before work," Lochlann mused. "What about after work on Friday? I don't have that much homework this weekend, I don't think."

Addy clutched on the bottle first, holding it really close against herself when Lochlann asked for it. She was hesitant but... well, she did consume lots of it. She handed him the liquor. Her hands were empty after that, she realized, which made her slightly fidget awkwardly.

And then she realized that the carbohydrates and alcohol were kicking in. She wasn't drunk or dizzy, but she realized how sleepy she was. "Oh god..." She rubbed her eyes with her right hand. "...I shouldn't have... Ugh bad choice. I'm so sleepy all of a sudden..."

She looked like she was trying her best to stay awake. But she eventually had to give up and just lie down flat on the ground, closing her eyes. "Sorry Loch, just wake me up later..." she mumbled. "...We can meet again after work... I only have two hours left anyway. And as for Friday, I... don't really have work on Fridays."

Loch thanked her when she passed the flask and took a mouthful, swallowing down the amber liquid without flinching. He wasn't lying when he told her all those weeks ago that he couldn't taste it anymore.

. "Oh god..." "...I shouldn't have... Ugh bad choice. I'm so sleepy all of a sudden..."

Lochlann jerked up suddenly. "Addy, are you okay? What--"

And then she was on the ground, eyes closed, and was she....was she falling asleep?? His face felt hot and Lochlann didn't realize he was blushing. She couldn't just...fall asleep on the roof up here, not with him!

"Sorry Loch, just wake me up later..." she mumbled. "...We can meet again after work... I only have two hours left anyway. And as for Friday, I... don't really have work on Fridays."

"Wait, Addy, what--" Lochlann rolled over to face her, putting his hand on her shoulder and nudging her slightly. "You can't just sleep though work. Your boss will kill me."

But...she looked so...comfortable. And warm. Surely it couldn't hurt if he just kept laying here next to her, could it? He'd just have to stay awake.....and watch her sleep like some sort of creeper agh. He rubbed his face with his hand. "Addy you can't be asleep already seriously."

But she was. She let out a sleepy whimper, being nudged and such, before shifting to her side and slightly curling up, one hand under her head as a makeshift pillow. It wouldn't even bother her that the ground was hard and cold, she seemed really comfortable having fallen asleep there. Although it would make her body really sore once she wakes up.

Christ she was really out. Lochlann had never seen someone fall asleep so quickly, and he envied her for that ability. He had to stalk sleep with poisoned darts and elaborate game plans.

Lochlann sighed, sitting up and unzipping his hoodie. He balled it up into a makeshift pillow and tried to angle it around her head as much as possible. He was lying on his side next to her, doing exactly what he didn't want to do--watching her sleep like a creeper. He reached over and brushed a strand of her hair away from her face.

He dug into his pocket, pulling out his borrowed phone, and set an alarm for what he thought was 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, he didn't realize he'd set it for 300 minutes.

Lochlann closed his eyes, sighed again, and drifted off to the even sounds of her breathing. He didn't try to close the distance between them while he slept-it was just something that happened. When they woke up, Lochlann would be spooning her, one arm draped lazily over her side, his other resting above their heads, the phone still in his hand.

And Adelene, completely unguarded, would unconsciously cling to him in their sleep, welcoming the warmth of another person close to her.

It was something she secretly (and most likely unknowingly) wanted: cuddles. Being alone for years, being in contact with people only when drinking in pubs or trading off goods, she's unconsciously longed for company, even with her mind telling her always to stay away. Feeling Lochlann so close, she snuggled into his chest, completely comfortable with the warmth his body had.

She didn't wake up until about three hours later, and even then, her mind was still hazed and confused with sleepiness. Unconsciously grabbing Lochlann's shirt and pulling on it, she didn't even know what she was doing. Everything felt so nice and warm, the ground almost did not matter. And she wanted to go back to sleep. She closed his eyes again, wondering sleepily, 'Since when have I had this huge teddy bear..?'

But soon enough, she realized it was Lochlann, and their lunch quickly rushed back to her.

Her eyes went wide open as she pushed herself up almost too suddenly. "Lochlann!" she called to him, putting one hand beside his head as she tapped him on his other shoulder and upper chest. She was in a state of panic all of a sudden. She just skipped work, but she wanted to believe that it's only been a few minutes and she can still make it. "Lochlann what time is it??"

Lochlann was dreaming that he was sitting in the bottom of a river, perfectly still. The water currents around him moved his mane, brushed against his skin, and didn't betray his presence. In the water above him was a pair of slender legs, treading gently, getting closer, ever so closer.

Right there!

He pushed up towards the surface, biting onto their ankle and pulling his prey under the water. Blood filled his mouth and air bubbles escaped from his dinner but when they popped they were saying his name--Lochlann...Lochlann...

"Lochlann!"

He jerked awake and for a second, Lochlann was horrified. He heard Addy saying his name, her hand was on his shoulder, and his mouth was bloody because he'd done it, he'd made a horrible mistake, he--

--he'd bitten his lip.

She was alive. They were on the roof, just like they were before he'd fallen asleep. The sky had turned a weird color and Lochlann blinked at it sleepily. Addy was freaking out because....he glanced at the phone in his hand. Because they'd been asleep for three hours. Not because he'd tried to kill her.

"Lochlann what time is it??"

"About three hours later than it should be," he said, his voice a little off. The worst part about that dream was that it wasn't a nightmare--he'd been enjoying it until he woke up and thought the worst.

He groaned and rubbed his face with his hands, still on his back. "Addy take a deep breath. We slept through work, but there's nothing we can do about it now."

Adelene paused for a moment, seeing some blood on Lochlann's lips. There was a split second of something horrible in his face, which made her worry even more. Unconsciously, she wiped the blood with her thumb, before pulling away and sitting up straighter, though she quickly had her head lowered, dejected.

"I'll have to find the best liquor in Manta Carlos before coming back to the shop... Or I'll have to face his wrath..." she mumbled. She didn't know what Lochlann had dreamt of, but as her panic faded, her concern quickly grew for him. She looked up at Lochlann, regarding him thoughtfully. "Did you get a good rest at least?" she asked. "You look like you had a nightmare."
