Maddie pounced at him, lifting her front paws off the ground and attempt to smack his head, as playful canines sometimes did.

She threw herself at him again, nipping at his arms and hair. She was trying to be gentle, but she did have some very sharp teeth and claws in this form.

He'd playfully push her around side to side, not trying to toss her around too much. Malvoes was more of a cat person but his mother loved dogs, and he liked to play around with them. He made sure not to get too close to Maddie's mouth though, those teeth looked like they could take out a chunk of him.

Maddie finally rolled over onto her back tail tugged between her legs. She didn't look upset, quite the contrary. She looked playful as ever.

She barked again, then licked at his chin, as was the common "I surrender" dog action.

Rolling to her side, Maddie returned to herself, laughing and holding her stomach.

"Why does everyone think that?" she managed to sputter out.

"Because person then animal, it's like a weird concept. Because humans are distinctively different than animals, we don't treat them the same, even if we love them they aren't the same." He'd sit back on his knees.

"Like I wouldn't pet your belly now."

"Why not? It's a soft belly!"

She fell on her back and watched the ceiling.

"I like being an animal a lot better, I think. But it gets a little weird after people know I'm not really."

He'd chuckle "Yeah, I think I'll pass."

"Well, that's probably because people see you as the person and not the animal so it's odd for them to do something like pet an animal's belly or back when you wouldn't really do that to a human."

"I'm kind of both," Maddie pondered.

Then she shot up. "Oh! And I totally went to that fair, so nener nener! And it was great and I got like a ton of stuffed animals."
