Miya had slept through most of the alerts. She had slept so well she hadn't even heard the main announcements over the intercoms, anyone running out of the dorms, nor the announcements to where the safe spots were. She only had awoken because her TV had started to broadcast an emergency message with the emergency noise following suit. When she finally stirred, she stared at her TV for a moment before yelling "Oh Shit!" and falling out of her bed. Scrambling to her feet she quickly throws on a pair of pants, a black solid t-shirt, and her longcoat, grabbing her backpack and filling it with an extra pair of clothes, some deodorant, her music binder, and her flash drive containing her latest pieces she digitized.
Peaking her head into the hallway things were...Well abandoned. It looked normal enough, but there was signs of people having left in a hurry and a panic. Miya had no idea where to go for safety, and didn't want to wander around to only be suddenly drowned in water. Well there were only a few places that they could gather a large amount of people. Miya started walking towards the main entrance to the dorms muttering to herself, not even caring about the amount of heat she was putting off currently (think of the heat similar to 90 degree weather).
"Gym? Maybe. Ballroom? Second best guess. Well I'm not staying here alone that's for sure."
It felt strange with how quiet it was. Miya's footsteps echoed off the walls which gave her more goosebumps. Still, there was nothing to be afraid of. She was sure her flames and heat could produce enough of a safe spot for her to bunker down and survive by evaporating enough of the water around her. She hoped more than anything to run into a teacher or another student who was searching for stragglers.
