Evie dropped onto the seat across from her, lounging back, sweat coating her body.

"Phew," She wiped her forehead, taking deep breaths, her smile not wavering. "Damn right it was. You certainly looked like you were enjoying yourself."

She didn't give any indication that she'd noticed anything, the only thing that was amiss was the cheeky look she was giving her.

"Buuuuuuut..." She sat back up, rubbing her hands together. "I hope you don't think we're done yet. That was just the beginning! Wait here a bit."

She jumped up from her seat, letting Morrigan have a chance to rest up, crossing over to the bar at the side of the club and ordering the two of them some more drinks. She thought to herself while she waited, wondering if she'd overdone it a little bit. She liked Morrigan, thought she was fun, even if she seemed a little clueless sometimes. While she did enjoy watching her get all flustered, Morrigan was very naive. She probably wouldn't realise how much she was messing with her unless she said it. Maybe she was being a little too mean.

Bah, not like it mattered anyway, Evie had no idea if they'd even talk to each other again after tonight. No use worrying about it.

She eventually returned to the table, carefully balancing half a dozen or so shot glasses in her hands, lowering their gravity enough to keep them steady without spilling out. She placed them all down on the table.

"Alright!" She started to explain. "I got us some Vodka now. Ya gonna have to drink these a little differently from the Margarita's. You wanna get it all down in one go so you taste it as little as possible."

To demonstrate, she picked up one of the glasses, leaned her head back, and downed the drink. Her face scrunched up as the liquid passed through her, she'd tasted enough to almost cough, but she kept it down.

"There!" She said, smiling again. "Try it!"

"I certainly was. I didn't ken dancin' could be so-" Morrigan watched Evie get up and go, pausing. She didn't really know what to call it. Intimate? Provocative? Lustful? All three were accurate in one way or another, but none of them seemed satisfying as an answer on their own. She nearly missed the other girl returning with drinks as she got lost in her own inner ramblings.

"More drinks?" she asked, a bit unsure. But Evie hadn't led her stray yet. Morrigan ignored the voice in the back of her head that told her otherwise. What did her Keeper even know? This was fun. She was having fun! And now she was watching Evie knock back a shot of vodka like a pro, in awe at how effortlessly she did all of this.

Taking her own glass, Morrigan tried to mime Evie's movements. But she caught too much of the taste on her tongue and the burn was a lot more intense than the margarita had been. So Morrigan coughed and sputtered and clutched her chest a bit. "Takes th' piss right outta ye, don't it?" she exclaimed, wishing she had some kind of drink to wash the flavor away.

Evie laughed, sliding back into her seat.

"Yeeeeep, that's why you don't wanna taste it. Shit's fuckin' rancid."

Truth be told, she would very much like something to chase it down as well, but she was trying to impress Morrigan here. She'd toughed it out already, she had an image to maintain now. She took a second glass and threw it back, face scrunching up a little again, before sliding another glass across the table over to the other girl.

"Anyyyyway, we still got something to talk about, you know~"

She grinned again, lowering the gravity around herself and her chair, sliding around the table until she's sitting next to her. Evie's face was red, both from the exertion and from the alcohol. No matter how many drinks she'd had in the past, she was still pretty small, and her tolerance was never great. She giggled, feeling more than a little tipsy now.

"So," She eyed Morrigan, eyebrows wiggling up and down, hands gesturing to the club around them. "See anything you like?"

If Evie was drunk, Morrigan wasn't far behind. She was only a bit taller after all and she'd had just as much alcohol. Evie slid in close to her in an action that was practically cartoonish. Morrigan giggled when she did this, palming her second shot of vodka as the girl questioned her about if she saw anything she liked.

Looking around the club, Morrigan wasn't too sure. For every person who she thought was pretty, there were two more that were too inhuman, too monstrous for her. As she rotated around, looking at everyone, her gaze fell on Evie yet again. Morrigan blushed hard, though her face was red enough that it didn't matter. She opened her mouth to speak, then panicked and knocked back her shot quickly.

"D-d'A've t'pick one'a them? Cause A'm'avin'a good'nough time wi'ye."
((translation: D-do I have to pick one of them? Cause I'm having a good enough time with you.)

It took a second for Evie to decipher what she said. It would have been difficult with just the loud music around them, her current inebriated state only made it worse. Once she had figured it out, she giggled again, rocking side to side in her chair.

"Why not? That's a big part of why people come out to these things. So they can mingle, get peoples numbers, make new friends! Or y'know...other things."

Her giggling didn't stop, she leaned over on her seat, pressing their shoulders up together.

"That's part of what I was trying to do y'know. I thought you might wanna try meeting new people. Unless..."

She raised her lips close to Morrigan's ear, the scent of the alcohol on her breath and her words slurring as she whispered.

"Are there things you'd rather be doing with me instead?"

"A mean... I'm sure they're nice, but I don't ken if A'd be comfortable wi' someone..."

Morrigan shivered, noticing how close Evie was now. Feeling her breath on her ear, smelling the alcohol, the way her whispering made the hair on the back of Morrigan's neck stand up. Her breath hitched and it felt like her heart was camping out in her throat.

Slowly Morrigan turned, eyes a little glassy as she realized just how close she and Evie were to each other. All she had to do was lean forward a little bit and she could kiss her. She tried to say something to the effect of what sort of things, but instead it came out as, "Yer a right pretty lass, Evie."

Evie finally stopped giggling, just settling on a little smile, their faces inches apart. For a moment, she was still, her face giving away nothing except for a sultry, almost challenging look.

Behind it, she had her own little conflict. Morrigan was pretty, she was cute. But she was also earnest, honest, and worst of all, she actually seemed to trust Evie. She had taken her teasing much further then she thought she would when the night began, leading the girl on until this very moment. The part of her that still held her inhibitions thought that this was far enough. She didn't want Morrigan getting any ideas. She was fun, sure, but her interest didn't extend much further than that. She wanted her at arm's length, and she didn't want to hurt the other girl because of it.

But another part of her was lonely. Another part of her had been distant for so long. Another part of her wanted to feel something intimate, passionate, even if only for a moment, even if it didn't matter to her at all.

"You aren't so bad looking yourself, y'know." She breathed softly. And then she was pressing forward, eyes closed, lips pushing against Morrigan's. The kiss was like the dance, it was wild, it was energetic, and with Evie's current state of intoxication, it was more than a little sloppy. She shifted in her seat, her body moving to face Morrigan while her hand snaked around her head, fingers intermingling with her pink hair to keep it in position, wanting to keep her from pulling away.

Evie had expected Morrigan to pull back, but the opposite was the case. She leaned into the kiss, sighing contentedly and slipping her own arms around the other girl's midsection. The liquor was definitely helping, but it was hard for Morrigan to deny that she would've been enjoying this even if she were completely sober.

Her kiss was just as sloppy as Evie's, and worse, unpracticed. It was only her second kiss ever after all. This was clearly made much better by the alcohol in her system. All she could focus on was how soft Evie's lips were and how nice it felt having her fingers tangled in her hair. When she finally managed to pull herself away, Morrigan was panting hard and the world was a Haze except for right front of her. Okay, admittedly right in front of her was also hazy. But Morrigan was convinced otherwise.

"S'one helluva kiss, luv... d-did ye wanna dance some more? Or... I don't ken... wote'er ye want."

Evie let her pull away, eyes fluttering back open, breathing heavily through her mouth, the edges of her lips curled up into a smile. It had been a long time since she'd done that, and she wanted to enjoy the feeling while it lasted. Eventually, however, the thumping music and flashing lights brought her back to reality. She untangled her arms from Morrigan, reached over to the table and threw back her last shot, before hopping back up to her feet.

"You bet I do! C'mon, you too! You've had enough rest!" She reached over to grab Morrigans arms, moving to pull her off up from her seat. "We have a whole night ahead of us, and I'm not letting you go until I'm satisfied!"

Laughing, she rushed back to the dance floor, ready to let herself go again.

______

After a couple of hours, and many more drinks, Evie finally stumbled out of the club a giggling mess. She'd danced until her muscles were sore and her feet were aching. Her breath reeked of alcohol, and her vision was swirling. She was only able to walk straight thanks to her powers, letting her keep her balance and lowering her gravity enough to take the strain off her body and give her weary limbs a break. She dragged Morrigan along with her, sticking close.

"See! Whadd' I tell ya? It was fun right?" She giggled, her words audibly slurring, her ears still ringing from the loud music.

Morrigan could barely stand by the time she and Evie stumbled out of the club. She leaned heavily on her friend, snickering at some joke she could have sworn she heard. "Was... th' most fun A've'ad in me'ole life!"

Her head was spinning and she felt sick to her stomach, but Morrigan was ready to take on the world with Evie. She felt bold. Punching the air like she had seen people do in movies, she shouted at the night sky, "Bruvah Silas can polish me knob! Feckin' tosser!"

"Wot's next, Evie? Wotcher wanna do now?"
