Cleo

Cleo blinked. Wasn't chasing after criminals the point of being a cop? Even as a detective, just sending people after someone seemed boring. "But you do get out sometimes, right? And no, investigating crime scenes doesn't count."

Shaking her head, she'd chuckle a little. "Honestly, I'm not sure how people like you do it." Cleo would've gone crazy if she tried to become a cop if it was anything like what Cris was describing.

Cris smiled at Cleo's obvious confusion. It was written all over her face. Her job wasn't cut and dry, and trying to explain out all the details would take forever honestly. The detective shook her head to break the smile before explaining.
"Yes. I do actually make arrests. Fairly often actually. But we never go alone, and risk analysis happens to determine if more than a pairing is needed."
Her eyes cut up to the TV screen. The ASTRAL coverage had gone off and it was back to earth sports, specifically baseball.
"So if we go to arrest someone and they think they can get away simply because of my chair, I send someone else after them at that point. If they get away from there, it's never long because of the previously discussed living contact tracer."

Cleo nodded along as Cris spoke. "Huh. And here I was thinking you were making being a detective sound boring." She said finishing off her drink before glancing at the TV and standing up.

"Well, this has been fun. But I should probably get going. We should do this again sometime though. Maybe even go to a actual race." She said, tossing a few bills onto the bar. Enough to cover the two drinks she had bought, at least, before giving a finger wave and heading out.

Cris cracked a rare smile as Cleo mentioned going to an actual race together. She wasn't usually one for doing things with others, but she had enjoyed her time with Cleo and would really enjoy seeing an actual ASTRAL race.

"That sounds great. Hopefully soon."

Waving back, Cris brought out the screen on her wheelchair and went about getting some work done. No sense in going all the way home when she could keep relaxing here for a bit.
