Octavius Family Dinner

"Yes. It has been a few long years since the death of my Step-Father.. He was a good man. Just.. never took me in as his own. I am sure i have told you this before little Flor~ Now, where's my little Sashi-washi? I wanna mess up his hair~" she said with a light giggle. She knew her main purpose there was to push the family into crowning Octain as the new head as well as leader of the family. Though her main purpose? Was to ensure no one was to harm her brother or use magic that would harm a family member.

"If you don't mind. I will stand my dear~ I need to keep a vigilant eye like usual. I promise I won't upstage you too much." She said with a giggle. Trying to be as playful as before.

Then she took the flower from Rohan. "Oh Rohan dear. You still look as handsome as ever. I remember when you were still in diapers Sweetheart." She said with a giggle. Taking a sniff of the flowers as she placed it behind her ear so the flower was pointing towards those who looked at her.

She couldn't help but take the time to look around the place. Seeing her dear brother come in she walked over and hugged him.

"Oh my little bro bro! it's been too long~" She said mockingly. Patting his shoulders after taking a few steps back. Hearing Flor greet Octain she looked at the two behind Octain.. The three..

Did... he have two kids!? ALREADY!?

With a huff she moved to the living room which was close to the dinning room. Looking at the space. Wondering what was going to be hung..

Octain;

He walked inside and held a hand out to Flor. Holding his bag tight as he looked around. "A marvelous place you have here. Fitting of your family." He stated. Recalling a small tale he heard. "In Flander's fields.. You had a father who had created a field filled with poppys during the world wars for those who had fallen. Your family has done a great thing in history to create something with such beauty." He said.

He moved out the way of the others to walk in. "This is my daughter Lexi, her close friend Kimiko... And lastly.." He said holding Genesis hand. Interlocking their fingers as he looked at Flor and Rohan. "This is my girlfriend Genesis Moonstrom. I pray that bringing someone this close to me is not an issue?"

He looked at rohan after and blinked. The family had become.. Bigger. Larger than ever as he shook it off. Looking at Genesis for a moment to regain his composure as he took a deep breath.

"Rohan, I see my sister had kindly talked to you already about me. I am Octain. A family member before magistar." He said tapping his mask a bit. smiling under it as he took the duffle bag and the painting from Lexi.

"Before we all sit down.. I wish for all to gather in the living room please.. I wish to show you all something special." he said. Placing the duffle bag down that was filled with his priceless items. He pulled out his spellbook and gave it to the only person had would trust his life with.

"My love, keep this safe." He spoke to Genesis in her native tongue. When she took it he casted a spell as the spellbook flickered with energy as he unwrapped the painting and placed it on the wall.

Slowly a picture of two people. A handsome man who if Octain took of his mask he would look like a spitting image of. And his beautiful mother. Taking a moment to step back.

"I present.. The last picture of Galen and Mary Octavius. My father, my mother. The previous magistar. his wife." He said turning around to the family. "Forgive me for spoiling plans Flor. I wished to share something with the family." He said looking over at Lyndis before walking over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder and pulling her in for a hug. "They would be proud of you.. My sister, the Inquisitor." he let go and returned to Genesis' side. Wrapping an around around to her hold her close.

"Some say my father and I look very much a like. What do you think?" He said with a playful smile under his mask.

Lexi; She walked in with kimiko as she spotted the colorful miniburgers. She blinked a few times as he walked over to them and picked one up and handed it to Kimiko. "Here Kimi! you have one first! I wanna see if you turn pink!' She said with a giggle. it was a pink colored one as she smiled. After that she heard Octain tell everyone to gather.

She marched on over for fun as she stood there in awe of the picture.

"That's.. Grandma and Grandpa?.. They look happy together. It's a shame they aren't with us.." She said. Following Octain and hugging Lyndis before walking over to Genesis and Octain. Wrapping her arms around them both in a small family hug.

The three of them then would take seats. Though Lyndis stood leaning up against Octain's chair at the head of the table.

Octain did his best to get Genesis on his left side and Lexi with the rest of the kids. He placed a hand on his mask. His heart was racing and the whole family could see a small part of his mask crack. The person who would notice this best is Genesis. He looked over at her for a moment. Before looking at the rest of the table. He tried to find the words to say. Though they would not come out. before Lyndis piped up.


"Oooh Sasha~ Could our Lord Magistar get a glass of water darling~?" Lyndis said before Octain let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Sasha watched the events of the party on his phone, mentally going into security mindset as to not be too intrusive on the gathering between family and their close relations. It wasn't his place, and just because he had to keep things safe didn't mean he was going to step over any lines.

He flushed a bit over 'Sashi-washi', however. He felt like an awkward teenager all over again, stumbling over his own words when presented with Lyndis Octavius. She could be… overwhelming. He put it out of his thoughts quickly enough and moved on. Back to work.

He'd been more intent, for a while there, as it seemed something both important and less known by Flor was going to occur-

Lyndis, again, why did she have to… Sasha groaned and pressed his hands to his face. They had other servants for that, surely she knew he was one of the most busiest, as well as not even supposed to be seen, but. She'd asked for him specifically, and he couldn't say no to that. It just wasn't his place.

Still, he was hardly presentable (apron and sweater most definitely did not count as formal wear). Shame seeped into his movements as he filled up a glass of water and made his way out of the kitchen, then through the house until he reached the dining area.

He was quiet, avoiding eye contact with the guests instead just offering Magistar Octain the icewater and intending to then move away and get back to his designated space as quickly as possible. Before anything else went wrong. I'm sorry, my love.

Dustin was pretty excited to be around people, it was the first time that he was almost completely sure they were going to stick around. Not that traveling wasn't cool but staying long enough to pick up most of a language and then having to leave was kind of tiring. He was just surprised to have made actually friends. well mostly one friend, Zizi. He was on his best behavior, then again socializing came easy to Dustin. He was very good at reading verbal ques and knowing what to say.

Even though he was mostly paying attention to ZiZi he was watching the adults. It wasn't as if he was completely oblivious to what was going on. He was very good at observing, you learned a lot more that way rather than doing all talking. He wasn't a big fan of talking, he was more of a do than a sayer. Which was why he was looking for something that would entertain more than talking, especially when he didn't have anything he thought would be entertaining to the adults.
