Mizuko won't say it out loud, but she was only so excited because she had never been to a shady place like this before. Her mother raised her as a normal person, though that didn't really work so well.

When Wesker gave the go signal, Mizuko quickly went for the nearest places to start looking around. Not even registering in her head that her upperclassman was looking for strange things, and so didn't get to wonder why. She melted into the crowd, almost becoming out of sight due to her lack of height.

She was mostly interested with the cheap and odd gadgets around. Radios and weird phones she's never seen elsewhere. Eventually she was starting to make a deal with a person so she can get some of those items. They were weird things to want, but she had her reasons. And for a few moments, it seemed like she completely forgot about Wesker.

Wesker blinked a little at the speed Mizuko darted off into the crowd. He stood in the entryway for a few moments before trailing after her with a chuckle. He made an effort to keep track of the girl as she darted around the shops, sometimes watching over her shoulders as she selected the odd gadgets. "... Interesting choices, are you maintaining a collection?"

Eventually he let her trail off to a stall on her own while he stepped up to one that had a bunch of odd, small creatures. He browsed over the selection, deciding on a blueish scorpion and a large, wiry spider. The shadow behind the counter wanted an amount of food for the two of them, but after a bit of fast talking and haggling that came easily to Wesker he only had to part with a small container of bullion cubes.

He once more caught up with Mizuko, the two jars holding the arachnids in hand. "Find any of your gadgets here? Are you enjoying yourself?"

Wesker had caught her first while she was trying to make a deal with one seller. She wanted the odd phones there, old models. And she was offering a fancier machine in exchange for all of them-- a portable lab equipment that seemed to be for measuring small unidentifiable matter. At least that's what she had told the seller. And then she looked over her shoulder to turn to Wesker. Her smile was bright through the shady night.

"It's... kinda for a collection," she answered, though it's not entirely true. She was going to use them to practice on her second ability, one that she can't control just yet.

She struck the deal and moved on to another place when Wesker did. When he returned, the items in her bag were all pretty much replaced by ones she got from here. There was a small radio, too. She could've bought that one some place else, but it was much cheaper here, at least in her opinion.

She saw the jars in Wesker's hands when they've caught up with each other. She wasn't exactly comfortable with them, even if they were stuck inside the jar. "Oh, Senpai what are those for...?" she asked, pointing at them warily. The uneasiness was painted all over her face, but at the same time she was trying her best not to look so afraid.

Wesker nodded a little when she confirmed it was a collection, filing that little bit of information away. He didn't bother her any further about it, aside from thinking interesting before moving on to the creature stall.

He raised an eyebrow at her bag, not able to entirely discern what she'd bought, but he could tell that a lot of things had been replaced. "I see you've been rather industrious. Have you found everything you hoped?"

He seemed rather amused by her reaction to the arachnids, glancing down at the jars when she indicated them. "What do you think I might use them for?" He teased for a moment before relenting. "They are for my sister, she asked me to acquire some arachnid specimens for her." His smile widened, revealing his sharp teeth as if laughing inaudibly. "Are you afraid of spiders, Tsuushi-san?"

"I wasn't expecting to find what I'd need, but they're all here and I got plenty," Mizuko answered, holding the strap of her bag and gesturing to it. Her eyes still regarded the jars every now and then, because yes, she was afraid of spiders. And Wesker's teasing wasn't helping her feel alright.

"If they're... even just a bit able to harm..." Her voice trailed off to silence as her eyes fixed themselves on Wesker's face. She was confused for a moment. She would understand that she might be a good source of laugh for her naivety and childish fears and what not, but Wesker looked more sinister than someone who was just laughing at her childishness. "What?"

She wanted to read his mind. But she was nervous of what she might find out, so she didn't dare do it. Maybe teasing was better after all.

That one stung a little bit, but Wesker wasn't entirely sure why. He closed his smile again, returning to his normal charming mask, and slid the jars into his own bag. "It is nothing. Are you finished then, having collected everything? I still have one more item I must search for, if you will indulge me."

He simply turned and began looking through the stalls, just ignoring the fact Mizuko had managed to shake his confidence. He eventually found a shop for many magical trinkets. Looking through them was an option, but that would have taken to long for Wesker's taste. He approached the old crone running the shop and simply asked for what he was after.

"Would you have any pendents or rings that will protect against Drow or necromantic magics, possibly other kinds as well?" The witchly woman gave a small raspy laugh. "Well now, don't you have an agenda, young man." Leaning down behind the counter, she produced a ring, two green and purple bands adorned with etchings of leaves and spiderwebs.

"This will suit your needs. I'll take your sleeves as payment. Discomfort now for security later. Are you prepared for that, son? Eh heh heh heh..." Wesker actually took a step back at this, his normal mask falling for a few second to give way for a shocked surprise. This old woman was eerie.

Mizuko simply nodded and followed her upperclassman as he searched for that one more item he needed. She wasn't sure why Wesker suddenly changed moods; it was not very noticeable, but she sensed it. Part of her was wondering if she shouldn't have said something like that about spiders, and part of her wondered why he had reacted the way he did, if ever that was truly the matter.

She stayed behind him, just slightly peeking from the side to see what Wesker was looking for. He and the seller was making an odd deal. Why would Wesker need such accessories? Then again, it was probably related to gathering information about something. But of all things she wanted, why would the seller want his sleeves?

Mizuko curiously turned to Wesker. To his face. She hadn't seem him so ruffled before, which made this sight quite interesting.

Interesting-- not funny or amusing. She hoped he'd be alright. Whatever made Wesker uncomfortable, she hoped it wouldn't cause him too much trouble.

Wesker glanced at Mizuko, and quickly composed himself, his smile once more plastered into place. "...If this ring does what you say it does, then that is acceptable." Before Wesker could do anything, the crone reached out and ripped the sleeves from both his jacket and the shirt underneath. "Good, then we have a deal."

The second his skin was exposed the many hairs across his arms stood on end. A shiver climbed up his body as the sound from the market hit him, an eyebrow twitching slightly as he fought to maintain his expression. ".......Very well... then..." Wesker picked up the ring, sliding a glove off to slip it onto his finger, then replacing the glove before turning to Mizuko.

"My business seems to be complete." There was only the smallest hint of strain in his voice, as if he was fighting back a headache or something. "Did you have anything else you wished to accomplish?"

Mizuko contained a small gasp by covering her lips. The seller was a little scary and surprising, having ripped Wesker's sleeves just like that. Wesker didn't look like he liked having his skin exposed, after all he did keep his hands gloved aside from always wearing long sleeves; Mizuko would ask why but it wasn't that important at the moment.

The girl shook her head as she was addressed. Hesitantly, she brought her hands down and tried to act like she wasn't all that bothered. She was, though. "I think I have all I need for tonight. I might just visit again next time if I need something again." Her business wasn't that urgent anyway.

She led them away from that weird shop. Once they were far enough, she fully turned to Wesker, walking backwards in front of him. "Senpai, are you okay? Do you want to borrow my sweater? A ruined outfit doesn't suit you, to be honest." Mizuko's hoodie was intentionally large on her figure. It was a plain midnight blue, wouldn't look awkward on a guy at all, so she thought she could at least offer it to Wesker. "You look uncomfortable."

Wesker nodded, His eyebrow still twitching occasionally, usually in correspondence with a noise. "Very well... Then shall we take our leave then? It is getting rather late, and I do believe we both have classes tomorrow." The smile remained on his face through sheer force of will.

He shook his head when she offered her sweater. "No... it was clear it wasn't my sleeved that were traded... I'd rather not test a witch's rules, I'll be fine." The hairs on his arms rippled unnaturally, as if in an undetectable wind.
