I'm looking for a character that Kaz can make miserable.

Kaz is a changeling who needs to cause misery to survive. He often does this discretely, through gas lighting or other manipulative behaviors, but he could resort to physical harm if needed.

I'm looking for a character that Kaz could make miserable. A student similar in age (15-21) would be ideal but I'm open to suggestions if you think you have a non-student character that would fit!

Funnily enough, my character Tiffany is in need of some misery as a part of her main plot. She is single and ready to mmmake some friends #Clairvoyant #Innocent #CinnamonRoll #DumbEnoughToStickAround

Ngl I'm searching up things that make people miserable :')

The first things that comes to mind that isn't from a site are broken promises--stuff like standing her up, ignoring her when he said he wouldn't, controlling her (or trying to), or probably any of the other sort of manipulative behaviors that you mentioned (gaslighting included). Things that makes her feel left out and/or useless, etc etc

Tiffany is very gullible, naive, and super forgiving, so if you can manage to take advantage of that, it would be 200% effective. She tries to be friends with everyone even if they bully her, so it would be pretty hard for her to just cut Kaz out of her life if he was making her miserable.

If you have any other ideas/suggestions, feel free to tell me! Or don't because I love surprises

Kaz could definitely do broken promises, standing her up when he said he wouldn't, etc....ESPECIALLY if Tiffany mentions casually or drops hints that she doens't like this.* He'd be consistent in the beginning to lure her into a false sense of security and then just start dropping out or not answering texts and telling her he didn't understand her message, etc.

*I just re-read her profile and realized Kaz should be able to sense her emotions pretty easily, so maybe he can just figure it out.


I also have a minor suggestion for a plot, but maybe it's not something you're up for and that's okay.


Kaz is hella gay and doesn't realize it yet, so a loose plot I had in mind is him getting a girlfriend. Of course, Kaz could lead Tiffany on into thinking they're dating but be vague about it and sort of gas-light her that way ("of course i care for you, why would you think otherwise? You're over reacting!"). Switch between reassuring her, being distant, etc.

This might not work but I wanted to throw it out there.

Right off the bat, I can say no to the girlfriend plot since Tiffany is already dating someone and isn't really one for cheating either. It would've been a good idea that I'd be down for otherwise.

Other than that, I think you've got it down pretty good--I haven't been able to figure out what really upsets Tiffany through roleplay yet, so there could be more that I haven't thought of before. But, what I gave you here should be enough for you to go off of, plus the whole reverse empathy makes it pretty easy to navigate even if nothing I said actually worked (like you said).

How are they supposed to get connected, though? Like, Tiffany's in college, Kaz is still in high school...Any ideas?

Hmmm good point. Cafeteria, maybe, for lunch? Or maybe in the courtyard, just casually bumping into each other? Despite his reputation as being a bit of a study-bug, Kaz does spend a decent amount of time in public-areas, so the library is another option. I'm not sure! What do you think?
