He watched the rest of the movie with her wrapped around his arm and his head resting on top of hers. Lochlann had been craving physical contact, just something to make him feel...

...Well, feel anything other than that scraping, mind-numbing hunger he'd been trying to drink out of his system.

But it was getting harder and harder to control that feeling, and it was getting worse around her. Even a few weeks ago, the idea of sitting with her like this would have been enough for him, but now he wanted more. Only, Lochlann didn't know what he wanted more of, and if he should even bother to explore that feelings because it could only lead to something bad.

He smothered it inside of himself.

When the movie was over, he asked, "Addy angel, Do you want another bowl of soup? or some more orange juice? I gotta get up and--"

Stretch his leg.

"Crack my back. And kick lamby out of my backpack," he said, glaring at the sheep who'd fallen asleep with his head in the bag.

Adelene smiled up at him and just offered a nod. Her face was still red, and her lips were still pale, but she looked a lot better than this morning. "That soul's delicious. Can we visit that place where you bought this sometime?" She moved a little to the side to let Lochlann go. She glanced at Lamby, snickering softly. "He's such a cutie. Lamby~" she called for the fluff ball, hoping to get him away from Lochlann's bag, at the same time wanting to give him some pets on the head.

"Are we still going to watch more movies, Loch?" she asked afternoon moment, glancing up to watch him. She was really enjoying this moment, if only she wasn't sick things would be much better.

. "That soul's delicious. Can we visit that place where you bought this sometime?"

"When you're feeling better I'd be happy to go," Lochlann said.

He cracked his back, sort of, and then limped to the kitchen. It took him a minute to get the stiffness out of his leg, but he was doing much better now. He heated her another bowl while Lamby hurried over to Addy and stole his spot.

"Are we still going to watch more movies, Loch?"

"Sure, i'm game if you are. Fire the next one up while I put the soup in," Lochlann said, and then microwaved the soup just as he said. He carried it back for her a few minutes later, giving the sheep a look because lochlann had lost his spot. "What are we watching?"

Adelene just kept petting Lamby for the moment, but when Lochlann was coming back, she patted the fluff ball on the back, gently pushing him away so Lochlann could sit beside her again. "Well," she turned to the dvds and fetched the one she placed after hunger games. "There's this one that didn't have a synopsis so I'm curious. And I have no idea what Jurassic Quack means..."

She put the disk in before taking the soup, thanking Lochlann for the nth time now, and immediately digging in. She was sitting with her back straightened more this time, so she could eat while watching. And so she turned her attention to her laptop's screen, wondering what this one was about.

Lochlann settled in next to her, nudging lamby back to the floor.

Jurassic Quack...why did that title seem kind of familiar?

"Huh, and there was no synopsis?" Lochlann asked. The heat from her body was starting to get to him, so he unzipped his hoodie.

A moment later, so did the man on the screen. And then he kept unzipping.

Lochlann's face went pale.

"Addy," he choked. 'Ah, we need to watch something else. Like now. Ah--"

Just when Adelene was enjoying her soup, she stared at the screen, wondering what was happening and then...

And then the people in her laptop screen just kept stripping each other off of their clothes... And kept each other close... Making out.... Kissing... Touching...

Panicked, Adelene's mind went blank. What the hell was she seeing? She could feel her face burning up again, but it wasn't because of the fever. God, she couldn't move. She felt so awkward she didn't know what to do, and her eyes, they refused to move because that was how shocked she was.

"What... What... Wha..."

Tears started forming in the corners of her eyes. She felt so embarrassed seeing something like... like this.

Lochlann's heart was racing.

When Addy didn't move, he shut the lid on the laptop quickly, gave her a glance but couldn't meet her eye, and then cleared his throat.

He put his legs over the edge of the bed, pulled himself up, and started to pace. He was going to kill Cabel for sticking that in there. I need to keep a girl in bed all day, Lochlann had told cabel. Now on retrospect he saw why Cabel had asked if Lochlann had ever considered male enhancers, too. For once in his entire life, Lochlann had been thinking innocently.

"Well," he cleared his throat, but his voice sounded funny. "I think I've probably just succeeded in making you feel so much worse. I'm sorry."

He'd gone pale before, his now his face was red.

"Uhh...."

What was he even supposed to say in this situation?

"I swear to any gods out there that this was not intentional, Addy, I swear,"

"I... I... I......"

Adelene gulped. She was thankful that Lochlann closed the laptop, and she was finally able to move again. Her eyes set down on the bowl of soup resting in her hands and on her lap, not knowing how to face Lochlann without... without picturing ill things with either her or him in it... or both... And that was really embarrassing.

She wouldn't be able to eat her soup for a while, so she set it down on the nightstand and lied back down, burying herself in her blanket. She faced the wall, not wanting to have eye contact with Lochlann, because god, she felt weird. And the scenes kept flashing back in her mind. She begged for it to stop, but she was still too shocked to think of anything else.

"I... I... I......"

Lochlann wanted to hear her say oh, oh, oh, instead.

There was absolutely no way in hell he could make eyecontact with her. He kept pacing, working out the stiffness in his leg, getting the blood someplace else, too.

Part of him thought that maybe he should go, but he was still worried about her. He couldn't just abandon her when she was sick because he couldn't stop thinking about kissing her.

He sat down on the floor instead, because he didn't know what else to do with himself. He wanted to be sitting on the bed with her again, but couldn't bring himself to even sit on the edge. Dangerous territory when he was in this state.

"I'm sorry Addy."

Adelene was still and silent for a moment. And then she shifted, thinking that Lochlann might leave if she ignores him, and that's what she wanted least at the moment. She slowly faced him, but hid her whole body except her nose, eyes, and up. Her brows were furrowed slightly, but she didn't seem angry. No, she wasn't angry.

"It's okay... You didn't sound like you knew about it, too... So... I believe you," she muttered, before closing her eyes. All this stress, with her heart beating so fast, was making her head ache all of a sudden. She wanted to suggest that they should just forget about it, but she was having a hard time herself in erasing those images in her head. She heaved a sigh, and then stretched out her hand out of the blanket, hoping Lochlann was okay taking it. Not a good idea, because she kinda felt tingly all over, but she wanted to hold his hand so she could assure herself that he was there even if they stay silent for a while. "Just breathe for a moment..." she muttered.
