"I don't think so. I just... Oh, I'm done with this." "Thanks, Loch."

"Mhmm," Lochlann said, taking the bowl from her. He headed back to the kitchen and washed the container out in the sink, drying it and setting it back on the wrack before returning to her side.

Her hand was quickly on her wrist and her skin was scalding hot, even compared to his own.

"Lochlann," "Lochlann are you going to leave soon..? I think I'm dying... I don't wanna die alone..."

"No, No, shhh, angel," he said, sliding up his other hand so it was ontop of her wrist. "I'm not going anywhere."

Lochlann didn't hesitate even though his brain was screaming stopstopdanger as he got up and slid onto the edge of the bed next to her. He didn't stop to think when he pulled her closer to him and stroked the back of her hair with his other hand. It was pure instinct--she was scared, get closer.

He hated that, once he was there, he had to wonder...did he get closer because he wanted to comfort her, or because scared animals made more mistakes?

"You're not dying," he told her, "You're not allowed to."

He was worried though. Should he take her to a doctor? His stomach clenched at the thought of going anywhere near a hospital.

"What can I do to make you feel better?
" He asked.

"Hnn..." And Adelene immediately snuggled close, clueless of its risk. She was hot, but she felt cold, and Lochlann had the warmth she needed, well, again. Indeed, she was scared, because she hasn't felt this terrible for years and she had very little idea how to manage. "Thanks, Loch... You're so warm..."

But she had to think of something so this fever could go away. She buried her face on his chest, before shifting a few times and pushing herself up once more. "Damp cloth... I need a cold damp cloth..." she muttered.

She tried to get up, she had to get some damp cloth from the bathroom, and she can do it herself. At least she thought and insisted that she can. But the bed was pulling her down again. And she really wanted to just stay beside Lochlann. "Dammit..."

She flopped back down, breathing warm huffs from her mouth. "Sorry, Loch... Can you get it for me? And maybe some medicine in the closet... I already had some but... they're not working... I'm sorry for the trouble..."

"Hnn...Thanks, Loch... You're so warm..."

"Thank you, you're quite warm yourself," he teased, but he never stopped brushing his fingers through her hair.

When she mumbled about the damp cloth and tried to get up, Lochlann didn't exactly try to stop her. It'd be a little bit--okay, a lot weird--if he tried to hold her down or something, so he waited until she'd given in and laid back down.

"I told you, you're not getting out of this bed today," Lochlann said, sighing. "Let me handle it. "

She flopped back down, breathing warm huffs from her mouth. "Sorry, Loch... Can you get it for me? And maybe some medicine in the closet... I already had some but... they're not working... I'm sorry for the trouble..."

This he could handle. He ruffled her hair again before sliding out of the bed and dutifully fetched a damp cloth and the bottle labeled cold and flue from the closet. He checked the dosage, but it was meaningless to him. Whenever he took meds, he just took the bottle since his physiology was a mystery to himself. Still, Addy did not weight 900 lbs, but it looked like she'd be okay to take a few in a day.

On the way back, he nearly tripped over lamby, but managed to instead fall gracefully onto the bed.

"Your crown, milady," he said, placing the damp washcloth on her forehead. "And your potion."

He handed her the pills and the glass of orange juice.

"So I realize I need to keep you here in bed and that probably sucks," Lochlann said. "When my leg was really bad and I couldn't walk for a while, I was going stir crazy."

He'd started to drug himself after the first few days just so he could get through it. There was no way he was going to drug Addy, though.

"So I brought something I think will help pass the time," Lochlann said and then did a drumroll on his leg that ended with lamby baaahing and draging his backpack over to Lochlann.

"I brought some movies."

Adelene offered a lighthearted laugh as she watched Lochlann. He tripped over the indifferent yet adorable Lamby but still managed to get back safely. She was grinning, and she slightly raised her upper body up with an elbow, to take the med and drink the juice, before lying back down, fixing the cloth on her forehead. "Thanks. Oh, the cloth feels good..." she sighed, closing her eyes momentarily.

And then she opened them again, fixing them on Lochlann once more. She furrowed her brows at the mention of his bad leg, still quite perplexed why he didn't want it healed, but then Lochlann did that drumroll, distracting her for the while, and Lamby started making sheep noises and she was laughing again. Gently, softly, her voice still slightly raspy.

"Movies..? Good movies?" she asked before pointing to her pile of things beside the closet. "You think my laptop would do..? I honestly don't watch anything that much... so I didn't bother getting a TV..."

"Thanks. Oh, the cloth feels good..."

Lochlann could think of a few things that would feel better.

What the hell was wrong with him?

"Movies..? Good movies?" she asked before pointing to her pile of things beside the closet. "You think my laptop would do..? I honestly don't watch anything that much... so I didn't bother getting a TV..."

"I don't know about good movies," Lochlann admitted. He got up and picked up her laptop from the pile of her things, bringing it back to the bed before nestling down besides her again.

"I don't have a tv, or a laptop either. Cabel lent me one when I'd asked him for something to take the edge off, and I have to admit, that's not really what I had in mind--I was thinking tranquilizers or sedatives or something," Lochlann said, without thinking. He rummaged through the bag with one hand, pulling up a small stack of DVDS.

"So, this time, I told Cabel I had to keep a cute girl in bed for the day and he gave me...." he looked down at the dvds. A few romantic comedies, the hunger games, the maze runner, some action movies he didn't recognize, and then something called Jurrasic Quack.

Since he hadn't seen any of them, the awkwardness of the situation hadn't quite set in.

"So what do you feel like watching?"

"Tranquilizers? Sedatives?" Adelene slowly sat up, grabbing the washcloth from her forehead. She was eyeing Lochlann with worry before glancing down at his bad leg. "So how's your leg now? Are you sure... you don't want a potion? Kranz makes them, it's not a doctor thing. And it's really effective, I swear on Blades and Potions' reputation."

After a moment, she turned away and took the stack of DVDs and went through them slowly. The action movies looked interesting. So did the hunger games and the maze runner. She put the two in front so they can watch them first, and then looked for some more. What's that Jurassic Quack? Adelene curiously held on to it and searched for a synopsis of the movie but, she couldn't find it. Wanting to find out what it was, she put it after hunger games so they could watch it third.

She then grabbed the wire for the laptop's charger and plugged it in so it wouldn't die on them in the middle of movies. Despite feeling heavy, she easily set her laptop up and finally put in the male runner dvd first. "Now how should we do this..?" she mumbled, searching for a good place for the laptop, and for her, since she didn't think she could watch while lying down, but she can't be sitting for long either. She decided she'd lean against the wall. "Loch, beside me," she patted the said spot, asking him to join her there.

"What? Addy lay back down, seriously, you're supposed to be resting, not making all those serious faces at me," Lochlann said, waving at her with this hands and making a 'nyaahhh' noise to try and indicate that she should sit back down and let him do the stuff.

It was probably fortunate that Addy did it, though, because Lochlann was pretty computer illiterate. Spending most of your life underwater will do that to a person.

"I'm fine, I don't need any potions or doctors or anything, I've got it all under control," he said, putting the damp cloth back on her head.

. "Now how should we do this..?" "Loch, beside me," she patted the said spot, asking him to join her there.

"Mm," Lochlann coincided, adjusting his posture to fit next to her, sneaking an arm around her torso and resting it on her hips, gently nudging her to lean against him so she'd be more comfortable. "Did you ever read the maze runner books? That's what the movie is based on."

Adelene didn't mind leaning on him. She actually felt relaxed in that posture, and actually worried she might fall asleep while watching. She did just take a pill for her colds, after all.

"Books, huh? I... I haven't read it. I don't have too much time for it... ah, but I have been reading the poetry book you gave me. It's really beautiful, I love the poems."

The movie started playing. While it did get her attention immediately, she still had lingering thoughts in her head. Specifically, she was still concerned about Lochlann's leg. She just couldn't help it.

"Hey Loch," she called softly, her hand traveling to Lochlann's on her hips so she could really get his attention. "You can't stop me from... getting worried for you, you know..." she muttered.

Why don't you want it healed easily? She wanted to ask him more about it. But something told her, despite them being close friends by now, that she should probably mind her own business.

She sighed heavily. Might as well watch. She was silent for the remaining duration of the movie, finding herself distracted because the movie was honestly really good. The action, the thrill, the bond between the characters as they decide to stick together until the end, even though they had no idea about their past.

"I won't spoil anything for you," Lochlann said. "And I'm glad. It was one of my favorites. I really like Keats, too."

Without thinking, he kissed the top of her head, and then his attention was lost on the movie. To be honest, it was weird having someone warmer than him, and he started to get drowsy the more the movie went on. Being around Addy made him drop his guard considerably and the weight of being worried was exhausting.

"Hey Loch," she called softly, her hand traveling to Lochlann's on her hips so she could really get his attention. "You can't stop me from... getting worried for you, you know..." she muttered.

The words jostled Lochlann's thoughts, and it took him a while to get them back together. When the movie was ended and he had the distraction of changing the dvd to keep him from having to make eyecontact, he swallowed the lump in his throat.

"I don't like having you worry," Lochlann said, frowning. "But it's...it's nice knowing that someone cares. You're very sweet, Adelene, but I have everything under her control."

He leaned back and glanced over the laptop, giving a soft grown.

He had everything under control except for lamby, who had rumaged through Lochlann's bag while they were watching the movie and had started to eat Lochlann's lunch.

Everything's under control..?

"Okay..." Adelene didn't sound like it was okay for her, but, she decided to stop. She was getting a little sleepy, but since the movie was really interesting, her mind became awake and alert, and now her fever was starting to go down. She was still hot but at least she wasn't burning anymore.

After they changed the dvd, Adelene grabbed the blanket and snuggled inside it, sharing it with Lochlann, even. He had made her comfortable enough to make her want to stay beside him in their position just a moment ago, and so she went back to that, though this time she was hugging Lochlann's arm.

The only sounds she made after that were the sniffing and soft sneezed due to her colds. She had a roll of tissue on her nightstand, so she grabbed it just in case she needed it.

She was awake throughout the whole hunger games movie. She found it to be interesting as well, and noticed that it was in a sense similar to the first one. She should probably make time to read these books. She glanced up at Lochlann every now and then, wondering if he was also still awake.
