It was just a kiss, how did it end up like this?

For a moment, the boy just stared at them. And Yu Ling grinned back undeterred. He was still sleepy and weak like a newborn deer but he still struggled to stay in control of himself and Yu Ling thought ‘Very cute. The Living try very hard.’ Finally the Lochlann seemed to have comprehended Yu Ling’s torrent of words and responded.

‘Ehhh. He wants to talk about eating Qi? Why?’ Yu Ling tilted their head at they studied him. What more was there to talk about with eating Qi? They already said that they ate it for energy? Hmm.

And then, he proceeded to propose something rather interesting. An ‘arrangement’ for Yu Ling to take his energy? It was odd how he phrased it though. “I need to not be so active”? Yu Ling tilted their head to the other side, the odd blank smile taking over their expression. “You want to sleep forever?”

Most people didn’t ask Yu Ling to take their energy. Usually Lu-Baba would just bring people to Yu Ling and they would take the energy with usually minimal conversation with the other person. Most of the time, the people were too sad and tired already to say anything more anyways. So Yu Ling wasn’t exactly sure how to handle these requests themself.

And what would they do with the lifeless body afterwards? At home, Lu-Baba took the bodies to make Yu Ling new friends/siblings, but he wasn’t here on the island. Maybe they should call Lu-Baba to ask him?

Lochlann’s next question and offer brought Yu Ling out of their thoughts. “Ahh? I do not know many place here? I can go where you go! I like to drink things! Cold things are good, are best~!” Yu Ling beamed at them again. Being offered a drink meant they were going to be friends right? This would be their first friend on the island!
