Nia could feel the pressure, now turning to pain, beginning to increase again as time took on its normal pace again. It was then that her vision started to spot over as they came to the second floor. By the time they were in front of her door, it was like trying to see in middle of the night.
She let go of the boys hand, also dropping her sunglasses as she tried to pull her key from her pocket. The ringing was increasing now too, starting to drown out the boys words. She could feel it. It was almost here.

She fumbled with the keys, her hands shaking too bad to function properly. She couldn't see and the pain was now too much, like a pressure from inside her brain trying to explode. She dropped the keys and brought her hands to her head, ringing her fingers through her hair and clenching her fists, as she tried to contain a cry of pain. Why was this happening to her? Why?...

Allen was taken aback when she dropped the keys and quickly picked them up. He unlocked the door and opened it. "H-Hey, come on you will be alright." He puts one arm around her to try and comfort her, then brings her inside making sure to close the door.

"L-Look you're going to be okay. J-Just lay down okay?" He didn't know why she was in pain, maybe because of her power? He was lost and didn't know what to do.

Poor kid. He had no idea what he was getting himself into when he had asked Nia if she was okay back in the courtyard. Now he was dealing with all this.

Nia could barely hear the boy talking over the ringing in her ears. She felt his around around her and released her hands from her hair as he led her into the room. Whimpers now slipped through her lips uncontrollably with a few shrieks of pain mixed in. She was doing her best not to scream scream. Even with the door closed, the room wasn't sound proof. She didn't want attention brought to herself. She didn't want to be the crazy girl again.

She did hear the words lay down and she did her best using what little vision she had left, general knowledge of her room, and her hands to feel her way to her bed. She pulled herself onto it, instantly curling into a ball, her hands returning to grasp her skull. Her whole body shook, especially her hands and legs.

The pain was extreme now. She didn't even know what to compare it too. There weren't many pain receptors in the brain but Nia's brain (though she did not know this) was extremely damaged. Her visions weren't meant to be this painful. If her power had developed naturally, she would have been able to control this. But instead, it felt like someone was trying to rip her brain out of her skull.

"You...should go...." Nia barely managed to choke out between screams. "I don't want you to have to be....exposed to meh-—-ahhhh! AH!" Her words turned to screams as the vision came in. Her body curled up tighter, shook more, and she lost the ability to keep her voice back. From the outside, it looked like she was having some kind of seizure or was possessed. The latter was what the nuns had gone with.

Allen was very worried and went over to Nia the moment she was having her seizure like reaction. He grabbed her hand and tried to keep her still. "Just grab my hand and squeeze okay?" Allen couldn't leave a person in this state by themselves, if he did he wouldn't forgive himself. He did not panic, he was going to stay and comfort her through her pain no matter what. He didn't pray, he just stood by her trying to make her feel less alone. He couldn't imagine going through all that pain alone.

The last thing Nia remembered was feeling the boys hand slip around hers. Without even thinking about it, her hand clenched down with all its strength, holding onto the boy like he were her life line.

And just like that Nia was no longer in her body. Her body still lay there, screaming and shaking, but Nia's consciousness was no longer in the present. It no longer felt the pain; her senses rushed to a different time and place.

Earth. Ground. Somewhere. It was old earth. It had been there for a while now. Hardened and compacted. Containing something. It was holding a secret. She could feel it. The earth called to her. Time had passed. Seasons, years... Decades? She couldn't tell but time had gone by in this area, covering something. Hiding something.

Everything seemed still. Was this all that she would see?

Shaking. The ground! The ground was shaking! Something deep below the surfacing making to move. It didn't last long and ended with leaving a crack in the ground. A hole. A hole for her to see the secret! She could feel it drawing her in. What was it that this ground contained? Hidden from the rest of the world for who knew how long. The sun beamed down on the crack and Nia's vision drew her in closer, pulled by the desire to uncover the unknown beneath the ground.

The sun gleamed off something metallic and it took a moment to register what she was seeing. A face! A stone faced buried in the ground. She knew there had to be more. She wanted to see more. Suddenly though, yet very faintly, a light began to come from the face as one of the eyes began to glow a faint red. Nia wanted to know more. She wanted to see more, understand more about this stone face in the ground, but she could feel the vision pulling her away.

She dreaded it. She didn't want to return to her body because there would be pain there. Here, in the vision, she was free from her body and free from the pain. But she knew she couldn't stop it. She was being pulled back. Away from the ground and the stone face... Back to Starlight.

As Nia was pulled back into her body, her body tensed, stopping shaking for a moment. But the screaming increased to a high shrill shriek as her conciseness was pulled back into her brain. She could feel the pain again. So strong. Too strong. It felt worse now after having the feeling of not even having a body.

The shriek ended after a few seconds and the shaking started. Nia's eyes shot open and her other hand shot to grab onto the top of Allen's hand which she still had in the grasps of her other hand. She squeezed and pulled his arm into her, not really thinking about what she was doing.

"There's... There's a face! A face in the ground! A stone faced man in the ground!" Nia didn't really mean to blurt out her vision but she couldn't help it. She had to get what she saw out there. Out of her head.

Allen was well, surprised. ".....What?" He was kind of taken aback, but relieved that she didn't seem to be in some seizure state anymore. "Are you okay now? Do you feel any pain?" He decided to ignore what she just said at the moment.

Of course she still felt pain. Pain and the vision. That was all she felt right now. Sadly the girl didn't know how connected the two were and it felt like they were ripping her brain apart.

All Nia could manage was as small shake of her head. "I'm... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." She felt like crying and tears started rolling slowly down her face. "I'll be fine now." She felt her self starting to sniffle and shake again. She still had the boys arm in her grasp and while her grasp loosened a bit she still had it pulled in close to herself, like she were afraid to let go.

Allen noticed that she was reluctant to let go. "I know this might be a little late to say....but my name is Allen. Allen Leoheart." He then hugged her suddenly. "You don't need to be sorry. As long as you are okay, then I'm happy." He then lets go of her and smiles. " If I can ask....what just happened to you?"

[thoth=http://i.imgur.com/gb3zdDk.png]It was a more or less universal constant that screaming was bad. If someone was screaming, it meant something was wrong.

And when someone was screaming in his dorm, that meant something was really wrong. He bolted out the door, only just resisting the urge to go through the door, afraid that appearing as a ghost might make whatever situation was happening worse. There was no one in the hallway at a quick glance, and he quickly headed down the hallway, trying to find the source of the noise, even if it hadn't repeated.

A suspicion hit him, and he paused outside of Nia's door. Hadn't she said? Hadn't she hinted? He paused, then knocked once.

"Nia?" If it wasn't her, then all the better.

Nia sniffled as the tears continued down her face. She didn't really know why she was crying. Probably just all the adrenaline and everything her body had just gone through.

The hug made her jump a bit, not really remembering someone hugging her in... Well, actually no one had really hugged her except for the day when they had found her on the streets. She liked how it felt. It felt safe.

"Tha--thank you." She managed to say to the boy as he let go of her. She hadn't used those two words so genuinely before. She whipped away a few tears and sat up a bit on her bed, so she could look at Allen. Her head still hurt, the pressure still there, and she was still shaking but she already felt a bit better. "I... I don't know exactly what it is." She said sadly. "But, the best I can describe it, is I get visions." She felt awkward telling this boy. Maybe would think she was crazy and leave. She wouldn't have blamed him if he did.

It was then that there was a knock at the door and she heard her name called. She looked up at the door, a look of fear almost in her eyes. "Who is it?" She tried to call out, her voice shaking and sounding a bit horse after all the screaming she had just done.
