Milk sat atop Bear, staring out over the courtyard. She had received a message that her name had come up for this 'Secret Santa' event. Reading through her chosen recipient, Milk found herself staring at the photograph of Emily Kirkpatrick.

At least it was a student at the school, Milk didn't have to go on a wild goose chase around the island searching for this person, she just simply had to look her name up in the schools database. Any minute now, this Emily would be leaving the academic building, her final class ending for the day.

Milk looked down at the brown parcel sitting on her lap, tied with a simple red ribbon. Milk still wasn't sure what these 'Tarot' things were, but they looked nice she supposed. It was lucky Milk had disposable income. The fighter just spent her most recent paycheck on the cards. A perk of living at the school and not really having to buy anything.

Milk adjusted the Santa hat on her head, along with the cheesy fake antlers Bear was wearing. She was informed it would do well to be in 'holiday attire' when delivering her present.

Once she spotted Emily, She nodded, and Bear lumbered up, walking towards the poor girl. Both Milk and Bears eyes were locked on her form as they slowly approached, getting a wide berth from the students and staff about.

Emily stepped out of the building with a bunch of other students. She hadn't had the chance to dress up in festive clothing since she still had to wear her uniform. She looked around the courtyard once the crowd began to disperse, and then fell over with an "Eep!" when she saw a bear coming towards her.

It took her a moment before she even noticed the girl riding the large bear. The primal fear dissipated pretty quickly, but the animal still made her a little nervous. Something like seeing a bear wasn't really uncommon, but that didn't mean it wasn't still dangerous.

Once she got to her feet, Emily's eyes darted between Bear and Milk while she licked her lips timidly. She didn't taste any hostility... "U-Um... A-Are you... Miss Milk?..."

Bear yawned as he lumbered forward, a few people backing away further at the sight of his gaping maw. Milk slipped off his back and patted his head, Bear laying back down soon afterwards. Milk walked towards Emily, the brown paper package held at her side.

The fighter stared at Emily for a few seconds as the girl spoke, noting her stutter. She had fallen down at merely the sight of Bear, and now was stuttering? She was obviously afraid, or nervous.

"I am Milk. Are you Emily Kirkpatrick?" She asked in her normal monotone, before glancing at Bear.

"Do not worry about him. He is perfectly safe as long as you do not challenge him."

Bear made a 'Gwar' sound in response.

"U-Um... Y-Yes... I'm E-Emily..." She glanced at Bear a few times, her eyes darting around a bunch. "A-Alright... I... Won't do that then..."

her eyes fell on Milk again and she seemed to remember why the two of them were meeting. Turning and rummaging around in her bag for a few seconds, she soon produced a large jar of pearled cocktail onions, complete with a red ribbon.

"Th-The letter said that you might like onions... I-I don't really understand... but i-if it's what you want then..." She offered the jar to Milk.

Milk accepted the onions, her lips curling upwards into a small smile.

"Thank you very much, this is a good gift." Milk set the jar down and held the package out to Emily, it's simple brown wrapping paper contrasting greatly with the red ribbon holding it closed.

"This is for you. I hope you like it." She said, waiting for Emily to take the package.

Emily gave Milk a timid smile as the onions were accepted. "W-Well... I-I'm glad then..." She then took the simple package and looked at it awkwardly for a few moments. "...A-Am I allowed to open it?... I-I guess that's a silly q-question..."

Removing the ribbon and slowly unfurling the paper around the cards, Emily revealed the stack of cards. There was a stunned silence for several heartbeats as she looked over the aged images of the antique set. Before long though the excitement overwhelmed her and she jumped up, wrapping her arms around Milk for a a quick hug before backing off with a bit of a blush when she realized what she was doing.

"O-O-Oh wow... Th-These are f-f-fantastic... W-Where did you f-find them... They c-c-couldn't have been cheap, a-are you sure this i-is okey?..."

Milk nodded. "Indeed. It is a present, you are intended to open it." She said, smiling as Emily opened the gift. The fighter was hoping Emily would like her gift, and was awaiting to see the girls reaction. Milk was surprised at the hug, and returned the embrace for a second until Emily broke it.

"I asked one of my colleagues about your likes, and they pointed me to a small store downtown. I bought the cards that looked nice, though I am still not sure of what they are for." Milk explained, before nodding, pleased to know that Emily liked the deck she picked out.

"It is okay, do not worry. It is the spirit of the season, I believe is the phrase used in this situation." Milk waved off Emilys concerns, pleased that she got the right gift.

Emily was slightly distracted with the cards, pulling out different ones and examining the pictures drawn onto them. "These cards are so n-nice... I'll cherish them..." She smiled at Milk, straightening up a little bit. "If you e-ever want a reading, just let me know, o-okey..."

Milk nodded, smiling at how Emily seemed to be pleased with the gift. Though, Milk's smile gave way to confusion as Emily offered to read for Milk.

"A reading? But, I already know how to read. I have been reading since i was a child." She stated, unsure of why Emily would offer to read to her.

Emily shook her head a little. "N-No, that's not... Tarot cards a-are used in fortune telling... I-I can read th-them... Th-That's all I-I meant..."

She fidgeted a little, looking down at the ground and blushing a bit. "B-But I... I suppose y-you might not have a-an interest in that..."
