Laetus smiled as she put it on and the portal finally closed. When she made her request, he sat down and opened the basket, removing a waffle for her. Once she took it, he took out another one and placed a few of the jellies on top of the basket before closing it.
"Want any of these?" He offered. He had grape, strawberry and peach out.

"Grape please!" She grinned.

Seeing as Laetus didn't mind, Maddie wiggled off her pants next and folded both her shirt and pants. His hoodie was large enough to come down to her thighs anyway.

Laetus nodded and handed the jar to her. He then put the the other two away and got out a butter knife for her. While she added the jelly, he nibbled his waffle slowly, seeming to be eyeing the jelly.

"Why are you looking at it like that?" she asked as she saw him eyeing the jelly.

She had stopped smearing jam on her waffle and had taken to watching him instead. Was something up with the jelly? Was he worried about her cutting herself with a butter knife? She wasn't that bad!

"Hm?" He mumbled before shaking his head. "O-oh, nothing... Nothing, take your time." He told her, waving off the question. He continued to watch the jar though... If he knew she would pick that one, he'd have gotten more than one.

Maddie looked to the jaw, which she had set on the rock beside her, then at him again. She slowly picked it up and held it out to him. He was very intent on this jar...what? Did he love grape jelly with a passion or something?

Laetus smiled and took the jar back, ignoring the knife and instead pouring a somewhat thick layer onto his waffle before putting the jar down and munching the waffle. It wasn't that his love of grape jelly was so intense, though it was his favorite. This was yet another example of Laetus' impatience conflicting with not wanting to rush her.

"What other songs do you know on that...thing you played?"

She wasn't sure what it was called. Something with an O?

"Mmm?" He mumbled in between chewing. He swallowed before he spoke.
"My ocarina? Um... A few songs. Most are from games I think." He told her, tapping the mask he had almost forgotten he was wearing.

"I wanna hear more. They're fun to dance to." She smiled, taking another small bite of her waffle. They tasted good, and she had never thought of putting jelly on a waffle before.
