Maddie couldn't help but notice that he didn't say he thought she could complete dinner without hurting herself again.
She turned to him and went to kiss him on the chin.
"Let's go back and have our picnic, but no more funny business!"

Laetus seemed surprised by this. Forgiveness! Laetus smiled and slowly nodded. He waved his free hand and a portal back to the forest clearing opened, which would leave them back on the stone perch they left from. He would kiss her cheek before heading through.
Maddie rocked back and forth, having crossed her legs at the ankle. She held each knee.
"My pajamas are going to get all dirty," she said as she looked down into her lap, having just realized this.

Laetus still looked confused, but soon smiled and shrugged it off. He walked back through the portal for a few moments before returning with a white hoodie with the word 'Cerulean' written in blue on the chest and a large blue water drop printed on the back. As it was his, it would be a bit big for her.
"Hows this?" He asked, holding it out so she could look at it. He even turned it over to let her see the whole thing.

Maddie snatched at the hoddie. Assuming he gave it to her, Maddie pulled it on.
She wouldn't put her arms through the sleeves yet, though, first she wiggled out of her shirt and pulled it out from under the hoodie. Then she looked at her pants, debating.
She held out a hand. "Waffle me."
