The moment the food hit the table, even though it was not much, the scent of it hit Barackiel hard. This was the first time he had really smelled food before after all. Almost as if it knew what was going on his stomach growled loudly once more.

He was about to say something about it when he got distracted by the question she had asked. His side of things? There were no 'sides' just the facts of what happened.

“I am on a temporarily leave of atonement. I had failed in a mission and now I must complete what I had started plus more to make up for this mistake.” He said rather factually. “I had been given a secondary duty to hunt down demons and I missed one of them, a rather large spider demon by the name of Pandora. My peers brought this matter to the attention of the Almighty and I was given a mission of atonement. It is that simple honestly, once I have completed my list then I can return to paradise and my rightful place as one of the seven princes of Heaven.”

Barackiel, all unknown to him as he was focused on his story, had moved closer to the table while speaking. The smell of the food was driving him closer to the source as his stomach seemed to grow more and more ravenous.

“Does all human food smell this good?” He asked while he started to drool a bit. Wiping the corner of his mouth with his right hand he looked down at it. “And why is my mouth suddenly leaking this clear liquid?”

"Yeah that pretty much matches up word for word then." Shiariel sighed as she began putting away the ingredients. Though the name Pandora didn't ring any bells for her so she was pretty sure they weren't on the island if they were so deadly that they needed to on this list of Barakiel's. "Well...I guess I should give you the introduciton to being 'human'" But before she could Barakiel made a comment on how the food smelled good, which made her blush slightly, and his mouth was watering. This was going to be a interesting newbie introduction wasn't it.

"For the food smelling good, it's a nice compliment to give people when they make you food. There are some foods that don't smell as good as others and tends to be personal choice. As for your mouth, that's a natural reaction to good smelling food. Or from being hungry. Really again it depends." Shiariel finally put away the rest of the ingredients and went over and sat down on the other side of the table from Barakiel.

"Now, I have a quick question for you. Seeing as how you ran the...organization of the Guardian Angels. Do you know the limitations of a human body and what sort of things you need to take care of on a daily basis?" Shiariel raised and eye brow as she watched Barakiel.

Barackiel had waited until it seemed like his host was finished making the food, basically when she started to put things away, and he took one of the sandwiches and stared at it for a bit. He had been listening the whole time but now despite her still having his full attention the angles eyes where glued to the food. As he took the sandwich in hand she had asked him what he knew of humans and how they survived, though instead of answering he took a large bite of the sandwich.

“Oh, this?” He said while chewing and then taking another big bite. “This makes me happy.”

He continued to eat the sandwich, making sure none of it escaped his grasp and all of it was devoured before he went on to say anything else.

“I was in charge of them yes, but the job of actually dealing with humanity was the job of my subordinates” he thought about it for a bit. “I did check in from time to time but mostly during the day. I know humans must eat, but not how much or when.”

He thought about it a bit more, not quiet sure what else to say. For someone who had been in charge of humanity's well being he knew very little about them.

“Honestly it has been awhile since I last checked in, as the demon hunting task I was given took up much of my time”

With herself now sitting and listening to Barakiel she waited until he was fully done explaining himself and what he was use to. With that all out of the way she began to explain the limits of the human body and what he was going to need to do to keep it running. "...now since I'm almost completely sure they didn't give you any resources for your stay here on the world. I'll go get some items to give you at least a marginally more comfortable stay here and I'll give you a roof until you can work one out for yourself."

As she said it though her mind worked through everything though she realised she didn't want to leave him out of sight for very long, he'd probably do something that might get the wrong sorts of attention. Shiariel could call her son and ask him to pick up everything they needed. Thinking about it more and more she preferred that idea to having to drag Barakiel through supermarkets and potentially having him potentially going off somewhere.

So taking a quick moment she texted her son asking him to bring home some extra food and purchase and air mattress. She also informed him that they were going to be housing her 'Angel Boss' at their place for some time and she apologized for the inconvenience this was going to cause at home.

"Now Barakiel, I should let you know. I live here with my son, he's going to arrive at a later point in the day. Until then We are going to stay here as I try to figure out how to handle this tomorrow seeing as I need to go to work tomorrow."

Barackiel listened as it was explained to him where he would be staying for now, it made sense to him though he wasn't sure how long he would be staying around for, he had a task to do after all and one did not wish to displease the Almighty.

“Yes, that would make sense for now to stay here with one of my own.” he said, thinking about it a bit more before other words sank in. “Oh, you have a son? I see, then you must have been on Earth a great deal of time then.”

He also thought about what she said about the next day, though that seemed to perplex him. If she had things to do tomorrow he would just start his hunt then and get a head start.

“Well, if you have obligations to attend to I could always just start my task in the morning.” He said taking out his list and giving it a look over. “I am sure I have landed in this place for a reason so it would be best to take a look around.”

The more the angel thought about it the more the idea was starting to cement itself into his mind, the look of concentration as Barackial seemed to focus more and more on the paper in his hand would probably tip off anyone that was watching him currently.

"You could say that..." Shiariel said as he mentioned that she must have been on earth for a long time. Since the dawn of the human race is what she would have told him if it were a realevent part of the conversation. But her mind was elsewhere before she spoke again. "I got married a few years ago to a human and we had my son, Soran. Like I said he's going to be here later today but for now we need to get things arranged for you to stay here. I'm going to have him bring some stuff so you can stay a bit more comfortably."

While Shiariel had glanced away in thought her vision caught the list that he had in his hand and then from what he said. "OH WOW! hold up Barakiel. We haven't even gone over the laws on the Island. You can't just go killing demons here, there are a lot of them here that are here as a way to escape all the fighting and killing they get back home. It's a place of second chances, if anything I'm going to bring you to the Police Station tomorrow so I can see if they might take you on so you can hunt them down the HUMAN way and bring them to justice. You can't just go hunting here like you're use to. The world has changed."

"This place harbours demons, on purpose? You are telling me that humans now willfully protect those that were created to destroy them?" He looked puzzled at this. "I do not understand why they would do this. Demons lie, their entire purpose is destruction..."

Barackiel stood there for a moment, thinking about this. If it was true then it was a very serious matter. Though he remembered his host mentioned something about taking to the local authorities.

"Yes, we must talk to the authorities about this." He folded his list and put it away in his pocket. "I am sure if I explain to them my mission is from God himself they will allow me to do what I must."

The small quiet groan from Shiariel may or may not have been unnoticed by her guest as he began to talk about the potential dangers of harboring demons on the island. Shiariel was beginning to feel like this was going to be like trying to teach a child about the world...all over again. "Barakiel like I just said, the large majority of demons here aren't the tipical demons. These ones wanted to get away from the violence and potential for death in their home realms."

Rubbing her temples she looked at her guest. "And We are going to the Authorities so we can sort a couple of things out with them. Such as, as of right now you are TECHNICALLY here illegally. We need to get you registered here and sorted into the system so you don't get arrested for just existing on the island. But that can wait till tomorrow. Right now we are going to stay here inside the house and try to keep me from getting an ulcer."
