Falling away from me.

The pain was possibly the single, most excruciating, thing that Barackiel had ever had the displeasure of regaining consciousness to. The one thing an Angel is never told is that if you a banished permanently or not, you get to Earth the exact same way. So even though the Arch angel was technically not a fallen angel he was still falling, and it really hurt.

As he plummeted through the atmosphere of the planet to most it would look like a falling start, right up until the point that it went by or actually crashed into the surface. While the reasons for his punishment might seem unfair, he had no quarrels with it. His brothers had brought an issue to God, and it was judged that he would require atonement. He would make up for his folly and return to paradise.

His train of thought, and all of the pain he was feeling, was brought to a sudden and violent end as the former prince of Heaven crashed hard into the ground, or at least into something on the ground. Getting up he dusted himself off, noticing that his decent had left no crater. He was about to investigate further when he noticed that he was now in human form, and the Heavens had not provided him with coverings.

Something across from him caught his eye, a shop of some sort with many immobile people wearing various garments in the see through wall. Walking up to the angel concentrated on summoning his angelic blade, the sword appearing in hand when called. At least they had left him access to some of his former power. Raising it up the angel smashed the invisible wall in front of him with ease, pieces of it going flying everywhere. Stepping up onto the platform, his feet feeling many tiny sharp bits of pain as something crunched under foot he addressed a man in a rather elaborate outfit.

“I, Barackiel, prince of Heaven require your clothing. Please hand them over.” He waited for a reply but got nothing. “I am sorry, but I require your garments. Please forgive me, I will try and free you from this spell and repay your kindness at another time.”

With that Barackiel started to strip the mannequin.

Shiariel Haine, Angel of Protection. Crime Scene Investigator for the Manta Carlos Police Department was gently flying along as she looked over some papers as she was on her way to the office. That was until she heard something that shook her at the level of her bones. Stopping she put the file folder down as her wings of golden energy flapped slowly keeping her aloft as she turned around on the spot hunting for what had made her get this feeling.

Then there was an impact, this impact made her black out and so the events from being high in the air to seeing the light of the sun and the impression of her body in the ground she carefully sat up making sure that nothing was to badly damaged even for her angelic being. When she was fully up she rubbed her temple as she felt a headache from the damage still.

It also took her a moment to hear the voice nearby, it was the voice of someone she felt like she should know. Blinking her eyes and feeling some concrete dust come off of her at the same time she looked over towards the disturbance...there was a rather odd looking man naked standing in a small blood pool and broken glass trying to get the clothes off of a manequine.

Her Temper flaired as she felt some of her protective instincts kick in for this...human...she thought it was human. But also for the fact he had landed on her...while she was in the air.... a couple hundred feet in the air. Taking another look at him she saw a blade near him of Angelic Origions. That wasn't something a simple mortal could gain. Her voice came out a bit angry and growl like as she looked at the ground in front of her and closed her eyes using both hands to rub her temples. "By the grace of Heaven you better have a damn good reason to land on my, proceed to start stealing, and have public indecency added on top of everything!" Any earth bound angel that had been here for any decent amount of time should have at least known this much.

Barackiel heard a sound, someone was speaking to him. Looking over he saw an oddly dressed woman who seemed rather angry at him sitting in a small indentation. Picking up his sword he turned to face her before the worlds settled in. By the grace of Heaven? Squinting he looked closer, the face seemingly familiar to him. Was she not one of his Guardian angels? It was a possibility. Most of what she said made no sense, so he addressed what he could.

“Calm Little sister. I am Barackiel, one of the seven princes of Heaven. I am sorry for falling on you but you seem to not have suffered any damage.” He let the sword vanish as he spoke since he no longer needed it. “I have been sent to this planet on a mission of atonement. I required garments, I am borrowing them from this man and will return them later.”

Looking at her then back at the mannequin he spoke again.

“Also he seems to be under a spell, why can he not move? Why have you not aided him yet?” His face was sincere and honest, to him not helping this poor soul who was left so cruelly on display was almost a sin! “Are you not one of my Guardian angels? Is it not your very purpose to help those in need?”

He turned back to the life sized display and continued to undress it.

“Do not worry, I will help you when my mission is complete”

Little Sister? Shiariel blinked her eyes open again and looked over at the man again. Seeing his eyes there was a small shine of gold that flickered across her eyes as her ability picked up and found his name was indead Barackiel...but one of the Seven Princes was not something on the information she got out of it. what she saw in her minds eye was 'Suspended' Arch Angel. That....was different then usual.

But Shiariel stood up carefully still keeping her head pressed to one of her hands and rubbed the incomine headache away. Standing there she lifted a hand and a screen opened infornt of her and she did a quick scan over Barackiel. Apparantly he had just arrived and Today was his 'birth' which just made her sigh...newbies were not fun to train sometimes. Almost every single angel on the planet earth was now fully trained and could do their job on their own without seeing another Guardian Angel in millenia...there hadn't been a new guy in over a thousand years.

"It's a damned Mannequine, a model for human to put clothes on them for display. No fucking spells needed." She put the other hand against her head again alternating circular patterns on her temples still. "By Grace and Light why now..." she asked herself. Just after her...husband. Then her son dating a Wendigo, now a 'Fallen' Archangel and he was pratically thrust onto her lap.

"According to the record, I am not one of 'YOUR' Guardian Angels. If anything you get to be the new guy on the block and I could pull rank on you if I wanted." Blinking then she shook her head and dispelled the rest of the growing tension in her head. looking at what Barackiel was doing she rolled her eyes and walked over to the door and opened it and talked with the scared owner of the shop and she explained that she was with MCPD and she would come back later to pay for damages and the loss of one set of clothing.

Going back outside she walked over to where Barakiel was still getting dressed in a growing pool of blood. "Um....I hope you know that your body has a limited ammount of blood that it can loose right?" She hopped he knew, if he didn't this was going to be just like Babel back in the day, no one seeming to understand a blasted word she was saying.

After finishing dressing, in everything but footwear, Barackiel looked down at his feet and noticed there was a red sticky substance that seemed to be collecting under them. That would explain the painful sensation in his feet.

“Ah, yes. Blood.” He lifted up a foot and looked at the bottom of it, a few pieces of glass hanging from it. “Humans need this to live, am I going to require medical attention?”

He stepped down out of the window and looked around, where was he exactly? It was hard to tell as he didn't really look around as he was falling Then a stray thought hit him.

“I am chief of the Guardian angels, if you are one of them then how can you not be mine?” He titled his head to the side, clearly confused at this. “I have not fallen, I was sent on a mission of atonement, there is a difference as I will be granted back my access to Heaven.”

He was about to say more when a large grumbling sound seemed to emanate from his stomach.

“What is that sound?” he asked as he started to suddenly feel very dizzy. “And why am I so light headed?”

The angel tried to take a step forward and dropped instantly down to one knee.

“Something is wrong with this body...”

Gripping the bridge of her nose she gave a sigh as Barakiel went down to one knee. "You WERE the head of Guardian Angels. With the suspension was a revocation of office until you get back." Shia then pulled out her phone and called to work explaining what was going on and that she would be on call if they needed her urgently but that office work was going to need to wait today. This was her first missed day of work but she didn't want this one making a mess of anything... or dying.

"You're bleeding, you're hungry, I can help with these." Shiariel opened up her jacket and ripped off the sleeves before putting the jacket back on. "Hold still and after I wrap your feet we can fly back to my house. Get you acquainted with being mortal." She went down on her knee and grabbed Barakiel's ankle and made sure the damage wasn't to severe and to pull out the pieces that were still there. "Hold still, most of this looks superficial, just minor scratches that will heal after a while."

Hopping to get this over quickly she proceeded fast and once all the pieces were out she wrapped Barakiel's feet."Look..." Shiariel sighed, "Sir, I'lll see if I can explain better once we get back to my house but right now assume that your body is human and has human needs. okay?"

Barackiel was about to speak up when the angel in front of him had already torn off her sleeve and started to wrap his feet.

“That was an unnecessary gesture.” His hand started to glow with a white-ish blue light and he reached down and touched each foot, the cuts vanishing. “I do have access to some of my angelic grace still.”

He then untied the cloth and let it fall to the ground.

“Yes, flying would be quicker, though I am unsure of how long I will be able to maintain it.” With that his wings appeared, made of brilliant white and blue energy. He needed to continue his mission, but this angel seemed to have information on the area and would be very helpful. "You will explain all I need to know there."

He lifted himself off the ground and started to fly off, getting only a dozen or so feet away before stopping and calling back.

“I am unsure of where I am going.”

She was a bit surprised when he healed his wounds with his grace. Not a lot of angels really had instant fixed for their own bodies but she guessed it could be that it was because he was an Arch-Angel. When he agreed that flying was going to be the quickest way but he didn't know how long he could fly she could only mentally shrug as she summoned her own wings.

The light coalesed around her as her golden majestic wings appeared and she flew into the air as well watching Barakiel begin flying up then stop and say he didn't know where they were going. So pointing the way first she said "Just follow me. It's not to far away." It was only about a ten minute flight, which ended when both of them set foot back on the ground in front of Shiariel's Home.

Her son was at school so she didn't have to worry about having to explain things to him yet so that freed up explanation time. "Well, first off. Let me welcome you to my home and let me get you something to eat seeing as how you more then likely are starving right now." Shiariel proceeded to unlock the door and open it for Barakiel to step inside.

Barackiel stepped into the building and shook his head, still in awe of everything he was seeing. In the short time he was sent hunting it seemed that humanities evolution had skyrocketed.

“This is a fine residence, I am surprised humans could build such structures.” He took a look around as he spoke. “The last time I looked in on them they could barely stack rocks together to build decent shelters, but even then they made some wonderful architecture. Nothing like these buildings though.”

At the mention of food though the angels stomach made that loud growling sound again, this time it seemed even angrier.

“Yes, thank you. I am starting to feel a bit light headed and my stomach will not stop making this sound.”

Once Barakiel was inside she closed the door and locked it once more wondering if her new....'apprentice'? Guest...her newest Guest... knew how to operate the door. Though she distinctly heard Barakiel's stomach growl she moved over to the kitchen and bought out the ingredients for some sandwiches. Turkey, Roast Beef, and Ham all cold cuts. Shiariel also brought out lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. She then efficiently began to make some before her Guest could just start wolfing down the ingredients alone. "Well Humans have been building structures akin to this for over 30 years...I lost track of the exact amount of time but humans are rather resourceful."

"Now, Barakiel. I understand from the file you got kicked out of heaven... essentially" She glanced up at Barakiel as she said that while her hands worked automatically. "But seeing as how we wanted to get you over here as soon as possible I didn't read all of it and I'm curious as to your point of view." Shiariel then slid over two full sandwiches to Barakiel.
