Milk ate slowly, making sure she never dropped an onion off the burger. She ate in silence, choosing instead to focus on keeping the first actual food she'd had in over a week down. She was soon finished with the burger, returning to drinking her Chocolate Milk.

Murphy's food was devoured quickly as if worried that if he didn't eat fast enough it would be taken away from him. He finished well ahead of Milk and sat there watching her methodically nibble and munch on her food. Even after all they'd been through she was still somewhat of an enigma to him. He only had a vague outline of her past and would have to tread very carefully if he wished to discover more.

He hailed the waitress to pay for their food, and as he waited for the receipt he smiled remembering how he'd first encountered Milk, how he'd screwed up a simple punch and triggered this whole series of events. While it may have been a setback at first, maybe his luck had actually been helping him there knowing all of this would happen... nah... it was just random forces at work... wasn't it?
