Elizabeth Carnegie sat at her desk, attending to her paperwork, signing off on contracts and occasionally staring at her computer for a few moments, hoping something interesting might happen. Unfortunately for her, just that was about to come true, for at that moment, she heard the distinctive knock of her butler, Justus.
"Phone call for you, ma'am." Said he.
Elizabeth looked up expectantly. Wordlessly, Justus entered the room, crossing the flags silently, before setting down the phone, screen lit, on the desk before her. Elizabeth picked up the phone.
"Elizabeth Carnegie. Speak." She said assertively. She was silent for a few seconds. Sighing, she continued. "Yes, go ahead, Seth." She was going to have to listen to another field report from her best mercenary, and also her most extreme. It reminded her of a similar briefing with him, a few weeks ago...
Elizabeth sat defeated, leaning against the table, and pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration. "So that's your field report?" She asked finally. "You went through a walk in the forest at midnight and killed a homicidal vampire priest?" She asked finally.
Snapping back from her flashback of sorts, Elizabeth pinched the bridge of her nose, unknowingly assuming the same gesture of frustration. "So, that's your field report." She began once more. "You broke into the house... And you shot him thirty-six times... AND took out his partner." She summarized.
"You need to stop going on walks."
