Damien listened to the kitsune yell at him. Her aggravation and confusion only helped to satisfy a grudge he held against the other one in his group. It was entertaining to him but he let go once she was up in the vent.
"I think the fact that I just got away with that would tend to indicate that I'm more bold than foolish." He shouted back. He then set up into the vent after Abel had climbed in and was reaching for it, however, he didn't make it up into the vent as Abel had to pull his hand back. The only thing he could think to do was to pull a chair up and stand on that and then climb himself up or he could tear through the wall. His eyes adjusted to the level of darkness and created their own dull light behind his retina so that he could more easily see in the dark and he took aim. Four more ectoplasmic disruptor rounds remained in his striker and he quickly withdrew it and fired at the darkness, not sticking around to see the effect... or lack thereof at the darkness as he searched for a solution.

"activate xray vision, begin x-ray emission." He ordered mentally, looking through the wall to try to locate Abel at Savannah's screeched request. His inner darkness begged him to continue to mess with her but there were more pressing matters at hand. Given the choices he located Abel and began bashing his way through the wall, first punching and kicking it and then adding his elbows and finally he body slammed the wall and smashed his way through to get through the vent, although there was one area that his xray vision wasn't picking up on.
"Reality deviation detected! Suggested action, unknown, analysis of particular sub matter inconclusive. It appears to be simple shadow with unexplained material properties. Vulgar deviant faction involved. His AI specified as his vision crossed over the shadow substances. He left his human mind to determine what he was doing about the reality deviation.

More wall crumbled before he busted into the room where Abel and the reality deviation was.

Adrenaline.

What it should have done and what it actually did fell into two separate categories. It did increase his heart rate, and that did give a good burst of blood to get him moving, but...

everything slowed down.

If someone had fired a gun at him, Loch would have looked into their eyes while they did it, been shot, watched the blood start to pool out, and then said "oh--" just as the person was leaving.

As it was, he wasn't shot.

But something happened to Abel, and it took Loch way longer to comprehend it than was necessary. Damien exploded into action, Savannah was shouting, and it took him a whole minute to react.

"oh...OH SHI-" He didn't have a chance to respond because Damien's sudden departure paired with Abel's exit and the general amount of stuff that air vents were never meant to handle caused it to crash and tilt towards the hole the two boys made.

"Well this plan f'ing sucked, " was all Loch managed before he tumbled onto the ground after them, landing on his legs with an audible crack that was some kind of bone that shouldn't have made that noise. He stumbled forward into the darkness, momentarily incapacitated, but providing a lovely landing spot for Savannah if she ended up sliding down after him.

This was not good. he was unstable. he was panicky. He'd found a herd, be it a ragtag group of strangers, but that was all he had, and they were in danger. Loch was in danger now, too, but not of the darkness (though admittedly he'd make an easy target). Loch was indanger of losing himself completely. He wanted to protect them, wanted to get them out of here, but he wasn't even sure where here was anymore. He was falling over the metaphorical edge and when he hit the bottom, he was going to take whoever was closest with him.

ooc: eak, sort of a reactionary post on my part, but I'll be jumping in with more action next time.))

The swarm was upon him, and though his natural defenses had kept him safe until now, it was only a matter of time before the insects overwhelmed his powers. Every now and then a tiny scratch would make its way through. Cutting cloth. Then skin. Then flesh. He fell to the bottom of the vent, writhing in agony. More and more the insects where getting through as Abel continued to panic, his mind losing focus. One of the insects crawling around found a particularly large wound on his arm. It knew that it should not go inside there. It went inside there.

The pain was much more intense, it actually shocked Abel out of his panicked state a bit. He had to focus on that pain above all else. He looked past the insects crawling across his face, to see the end of a particularly nasty bug trying to wriggle its way deeper into an open wound. Its tiny legs like little blades slicing up his flesh as it did. He couldn't let it do that. He did his best to focus, moving his shaking hand towards the wound. He held his breath to steady himself further. He hadn't realized how labored his breath had become until just then, as he tried to hold it. Squeezing the bug between two trembling fingers, he slowly began to pull it out of his arm. This pain was so immense, he considered the prospect of stopping and just leaving the insect in his arm. That would be true suffering, so he gathered his nerve and continued on.

Just as he got it out and flung it away, he felt something grasp his shoulder. Something distinctly not an insect crawling all over him. He instinctively shrank away from it in fear, flattening himself against the floor of the vent and turning to look. There he saw it, a hand. A human hand? He was unsure. It was reaching out from the darkness.

"Who- what-?" his panicked mind managed to call out as he stared up at the darkness. He wiped the insects off his face a few times, to make sure he was actually seeing what he thought he was seeing. He pressed his forearm up to his mouth, so he could open it without anything crawling in.

"What are you? ...what is all this?" he asked in a pleading tone.

As he waited for an answer, he could barely hear Savannah's commands over the screaching skittering insects all over him. Damien crashing through the walls below him was easier to hear, though Abel didn't know what was doing that. As far as he knew, it was that large beast he heard lumbering towards them outside the Loch's hospital room. Whatever it was, it had just broken through a wall practically underneath Abel and was now standing in the room below the vent he was in.

That was the last he could comprehend when all Hell seemed to break loose. The vent had decided it had had enough, and finally began to give way. The part Loch and Savannah were in broke down, but Abel was already far away from that. His part of the vent began to fall towards whatever it was that was making those loud wall crushing noises.

"N-no!" Abel screamed. Fearing the worse, he pushed himself up and further along and up the falling vent as he did before. Before it hit the ground, he had already made his way along to the next portion of the vent. He stumbled a bit further, with his hand on the ceiling of the vent until he found an opening leading up. Whatever, that loud crashing noise from below was, he felt he had to get away from it. He jumped again, this time straight up the vent. His power captured him, pulled him up like a rag doll, shaking loose most of the insects that were still on him. Most of them.

"Ahh, ahhh!" he screamed in his pained panic, as he went falling upwards.

Something borught the wall down.

Instinctivly, Micahel retreted back to the darkness he was hiding in, letting fo of the boy he was about to attack again, only half hearing the things he was about to say. He still quite liked his pleading tone though. However, he didn't get to enjoy it much, for he soon realised that with the wall his shelter came falling down too. He had to get out of it before it collapsed on him completely, and find another shadow if he was to re-enter, and soon.

He reappeared in the room that seemed to be falling apart, but he didn't seem to mind. He wanted that from the begining anyway. His bugs were, however, a bigger problem. Somewhere along the way, he lost all control over them, and tehy were now running free, thursting fro blood, and doing anything that wanted, and liked, which included his blood, most of all. They hated him with passion, and by the time he got away from the wall he came out of, he was cut up and blooded, all those little wounds hurting together quite a lot. He breathed hevily, trying to catch his breath, and somehow establish control over his bugs again. Thus, for a moment, he was blind to everything else.

((OOC-ok, am I the only one that doesn't know where we are? xD At one moment, his in the went, then there is the room, and Damien is bringing the wall down, and now there is a vent again? Pleas help xD))

ooc: Then I had Loch fall through the area Abel, Damien, and Michael where?

Actually if we want them separated, Loch and Savannah can fall somewhere else if that'd work? If not just assume that Loch at least fell in the area the rest of them are at. xD ))

OOC- I am sorry for the confusion guys, but if you look back, I never wrote that Abel left the vents.

Damien crashed through the walls alone. Abel did not help him make those holes and he somehow ended up in a room with Abel in it. What i read that to be was a room with a the vent that Abel was in.

Vents usually go two ways right? While Loch and Savannah were crawling one way, Abel was floundering down the other way. Damien crashed through the walls on his own. He never left the vents. I don't know how I can make it anymore clear than that.

If your talking about the hand grabbing Abel, it never pulled hi. It was only written that it grabbed him. There was not even an attempt to drag him written anywhere

I thought it'd be more dramatic if the group 'lost one'. Thats why I am trying to separate Abel from the rest.

((It might be my fault then, I read the room somwhere and added Abel in it because it was convenient for Michale to grab him that way xD Ok, so, everything is cleared, they are still in the vents, Michael going after Abel and Damian bringing down the walls. The shaginkg of the broken wall forced Michael out of it cause he was hidden within it))
